Chapter 3

Matthew POV

"Lets go, lets go!" shouted James as the three of us ran for our lives.

From a pack of raptor, only this time they were not Velociraptors. For some reason these were smaller, faster, and a hell of a lot more aggressive then the Velociraptors. And knowing their temperament is saying a lot. There body design is very strange along with a coloration combination of a brick red with a cream-colored underbelly. They also had a crest on top of their head, not a pair like those Dilophosaurus.

"I knew this was a bad idea!" panicked Daniels.

"Just keep running we're almost there!" responded James as we arrived at our new location.

As we run through the long grass, I could not help but look back for a second. And to my surprise they stopped for a moment.

I shouted, "HOLD ON!"

The two of them stopped to see what I was looking at, and they were surprise too see them stopped for a moment. Then, turned the other direction and ran away from us.

"I hate this island." Said Daniels before James tapped him on the shoulders.

Not wanting to stick around we continued to walk through the long grass, in hoping to find shelter. This whole area looked familiar to the three of us. And it didn't take us long to figure out that we make be back at where Scareyes' pack attacked us about nine months ago.

Daniels even stepped on something and it seem to look like a dead person. James soon ran a bit further and found another, along with me finding one just a few feet away.

"I guess these people weren't so lucky." Said Daniels.

"Lets keep moving.", was all I said.

After walking for miles, we finally came to end of the planes, and soon went down a slippery hill. At the very end was a gate and a lot of different places to hide.

"Search around for anything but stay close."

Both Daniels and James nodded as we spread out a bit to search for something or somewhere to call for help.

"Still got those devices?" asked James.

Daniels just put his bags down before responded with a thumbs up.

We couldn't find anything other then a torn-up backpack, who ever it belong to is most likely dead by now.

"MATTHEW!" shouted James like something scared him.

Both Daniels and I rushed to the other side of the building where James was standing.

And to our shocker were two dead raptors, one looked like to be torn apart, other died from impalement. From the looks from the window up there, something knocked it out of there and it fell to its death.

"Poor thing" was all I said.

The three of us soon found an exceptionally large glass building and we soon entered it.

"Well, this will do for now." Said James before finally resting a bit.

"Do you ever say anything less dramatic?", asked Daniels.

James just shrugs and answers, "Depending on the situation, I guess."

"Hu, well do you mind telling me. What was going on with you the last three weeks?" asked Daniels.

"I told you, had to check on there ex-alpha. He wasn't really in the best of shape you know.", was James response.

While the two of them continued to chat, I just found a chair and sat on it. Only for it to break and fall on my ass. Could not help but sigh for a bit before James comes over to help me up.

"You alright?" asked James.

My response was a weak, "Yes, you?"

"Eh, I'm alright can't wait to get off this damn island and see some people.", James paused for a moment and then finish, "You know, the ones that aren't eaten or dead."

I could not help but chuckle for a bit, which James joined for a bit. The two of us been in many hellish missions but to be honest this would be the strangest and ridiculously to believe. But, who's goanna wanna know.

"Permission to ask you a question?" stated Daniels.

"Granted, but if only if I can ask you gentlemen one as well?" was my response.

"Ok, I'll started," said James as the three of us sat down, "This one is for you Daniels."

"Shot it, I can take it.", boosted Daniels.

James had to think about it for a second and then asked, "What do you plan to do when we get out of here?"

Daniels answered, "Well, I've been planning on starting a business. Something simple and easy to get things started."

"Like a flower shop." Interrupted James.

"Maybe, you never know.", was his response before asking, "What about you James?"

James had to think long and hard so I decided to answer, "I got my answer, I'm going to see if…if"

I soon stopped for a second before noticing something. Both Daniels and James just looked at each other for a bit, wondering what I was about to say. However, they to spotted something and it was covered in vines and twigs.

We soon started to move the vines a bit and even used our knifes to cut the ones that were hard to move. Load and behold a radio, only this time it looks to be fully functional.

"You got to be freaking kidding me.", said Daniels as I look for the instructions.

Once I did, I looked through the manual to see if any of the numbers could reach any rescue sites.

The only problem was that this book was made in 1993, and this year is 2004. So many of the areas are either renamed or non-existed.

"Ok, lets seen know.", was all I said before turning it on.

Surprisingly, it was still working, Daniels soon went beside be and soon looked at the numbers and tuned the radio to the right frequency number.

"Lets seen now, if my hunch is correct this station should be Jurassic World.", said Daniels as he gets the mic ready.

James soon asks," How can you be sure."

"Only one way to find out.", was all he said before taking a deep breath.

"This is Bravo team number 21321, contacting anyone at Jurassic World station 213112 over."

As of now, it was nothing but static noises for a good minute or to before Daniels repeated, "This is Bravo team number 21321, contacting anyone at Jurassic World Station, over."

"This is Jurassic World security leader, identify yourselves.", said a male voice over the radio.

Daniel soon gave me the mic and I quickly answered, "This is Matthew John Muldoon leader of the rescue mission about nine months ago requesting immediate rescue off of Isla Sorna Site B."

"I'm sorry did you say Muldoon?" questioned the man.

I answered, "Yes, please we need immediate rescue, almost all of my men are dead and are…"

"I'm sorry, but as of right now all of our rescue teams are occupied at the moment…"

Not taking any more shit I shouted, "LISTEN TO ME! I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG WE ARE GOING TO LAST. ALMOST ALL OF MY MEN ARE DEAD, ONLY THREE SURVIVORS REMIND. AND THAT IS INCLUDING DANIELS, JAMES, AND MYSELF. WE NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS YOUR TOP PRIORITY RIGHT NOW!"

We soon waited for a good minute before hearing a response, "This is Vic Hoskins, we'll send in a rescue team as soon as possible. It'll most likely be there in a few days maybe longer depending on the weather. Where do you want us to meet you three?"

I quickly answered, "The south beach was the boat wreckage is, it shouldn't be that hard to miss, uh, look for a campfire or something. We'll signal you if we can but look for a boat wreck."

"I copy hang tight you three. Vic out.", after that, I set the mic down.

"So now what?" asked Daniels.

I answered, "Now we make our way back to the boat wreck and wait. But for now, let us rest here for a bit and at sun rise we make our way there, maybe help Takeshis' pack find a suitable territory away from any rival packs."

The three of us soon found a place to lay down, and just to be safe. Each of us takes turns doing a bit of night watch every few hours, just to make sure nothing tries to sneak in and attack us. But little did we know, how dangerously close to trouble we are in.
