The clicking of a pen, the smallest rustle of well-tailored cloth against high quality leather, the subtle flicker of sanguine eyes as her own darted around the room to avoid direct contact. This was becoming the worst day of her life.

"Now, dear Sera, I trust that you understand why you are here?"

Her eye twitched, almost too much like Felicia's own nervous tick, as she began to tap her fingers against the arm of her chair. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of voicing her discomfort, she would never submit to the Alpha known as Hannibal 'ass-hat' Lecter.

"Because Will can't take a hint when I say I'm fine?"

*Two days earlier*

She'd not spoken. Eyes staring out of the living room window to avoid meeting his own worried gaze as she seemed to hold the world upon her shoulders. If she refused to meet his gaze then he couldn't attempt his empathy upon her and, therefore, couldn't try to defuse the stress that seemed to be eating at her.

"Sera, if you don't talk to me then I can't help you. Something's been wrong since we got back from the crime scene this morning"

It had been from the moment she'd left Felicia; both Omega going their separate ways with a meaningful glance to each other before joining their respective Alpha's for the journey home. She wouldn't tell him what had been said between the two, wouldn't give any insight into what was bothering her and it irked him. He hated the feeling that he couldn't help her, couldn't fulfil the most basic Alpha duty and comfort his mate.

He just wanted his Sera back, the Omega that always wore a smile no matter how malicious it may have been and the happy young woman that always took no end of joy out of tormenting both Hannibal and Felicia in the knowledge that neither would ever harm her.

So far, this girl wasn't his Sera. She always seemed stuck in thought, a perplexed gleam in her eyes when away from her sister, like she was mulling over some information that she refused to share with him.

The thought hit him like a freight train to the skull as he mentally slapped himself for not thinking of it sooner. She'd mentioned nightmares in the past, muttered names in her sleep that rang an unpleasant bell in Will's own mind. How hadn't he realised it all sooner?

"Sera? How much have you remembered since leaving the hospital?"

Her eyes widened with panic, a sure sign that he was on the right track as he moved closer, seeing her fist clench slightly as he stood beside her and gently combed a hand through her dark locks. He'd always loved the feel of her hair, so soft to his touch and calming for his own chaotic mind. She was his greatest comfort in this world, the only one that made sense for him, he loved her more than words could say and seeing her anything less than her true glory was like a knife to his own heart.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just tired from this morning, that's all"

She still refused to meet his gaze, but Will didn't need eye contact to know that she was lying. Her voice held a small shake too it, her form tensing slightly before relaxing to the feel of his hand through her hair

"I have no idea what you mean sweetie"

Definitely hiding something. Will knew Sera too well before this point to believe the sudden honey coated tone she was using. He leaned back in his own armchair, rubbing his face in weariness as the only remaining option came into play.

"If you won't tell me, then I've got no other choice"

He pulled his mobile from his pocket, searching for the contact before placing the device to his ear. She had brought this upon herself.

"Hey, Morning Doc, look, I've got a favour to ask"

*Present time*

"My dear Sera, Will is simply worried for you"

"And this is helping how? If I'm not going to reveal my secrets to him then I sure as hell ain't shooting the breeze with you"

Hannibal frowned at the clear refusal of his aide. Sera had always been this way, unwilling to open up to anyone beyond her sister. It had taken a long time to get her to even open up to Will. So why had she chosen to shut down to the Alpha now? He leaned forward, observing the way her fingers would fidget, how her eyes would constantly flick towards the office door.

For a moment he smiled. If she would not speak to him willingly, if she would not confide in anyone beyond his own Omega mate, then he would wait for their secrets to cause them to slip.

"Very well, if you will not cooperate then I shall ask no further"

Sera clenched her fist, noticing the all too kind tone of his voice. He was attempting to play her. Not going to happen, but she knew a way around it, she simply had to speak with Felicia.

"Good, seems my stubbornness wins out once more… But would you mind if I sat with Felicia for a little while?"

He gestured with his hand for her to go straight ahead, watching as she stormed from the room and clearly ignored her own mate as she went in search of the other Omega.

"What the hell was that Hannibal?"

He didn't even turn to Will as he simply observed the seat she had previously occupied.

"I am simply leading them back too us. Patience, my good Will, we shall see them restored soon"

*With Felicia*

She frowned as Sera came barging into the kitchen, Felicia having been happily chilling with a steaming cup of coffee. The Omega looked positively livid as she sat opposite and slammed her fists down.

"Pour me a cup of that. Now. We need to talk"

"Have you remembered more?"

Felicia didn't hesitate as she prepared a fresh pot of coffee, watching as her sister continued to fidget and avoid eye contact.

"More than I was prepared for"

"I remembered that I'm a cold-blooded murderer, can't be much worse than that"

"Oh trust me, it can"
