Sera groaned as she wiped down the bar, there were only a few patrons left and she just wanted to shut up shop for the night and go home. Felicia was sat on the other side of the bar, psychology text book spread out in front of her and alpha hormone perfume shrouding her true nature as she simply smirked at her sister and looked up from the books.
"Want me to help get the stragglers out?"
"No, it's fine. They won't be much longer anyway, I called last orders about twenty minutes ago"
Sera took a moment to survey the area once more, most of the drinkers were starting to gather their possessions, only one seemed to be dragging out his drink. Sera rolled her eyes, she really didn't need to be here any longer just because one punk ass, low level alpha didn't want to go home yet.
"You should probably shoot off home Felicia; you have an exam in the morning and we both know your… Other activities have been keeping you up most nights this week. You need to be careful, the police will catch up with you if you don't slow it down a bit"
Felicia shrugged, not seeming to care for the consequences as Sera frowned. The blond might not have cared, but Sera did. She couldn't lose her sister; she couldn't be alone.
"Why aren't you wearing your suppressant perfume tonight? You know how rough it can get for an omega in this part of town"
Felicia had stood up, collecting her books and necking the last of her drink before scanning a sceptical eye around the room, landing on the lowly alpha that still refused to finish his drink in a timely fashion.
"It's fine. Tuesday nights are pretty slow so I find it helps to be an Omega to get the tips in a little better… Don't worry, I have pepper spray for emergencies"
"And a homicidal sister if someone tries anything"
Sera simply laughed as Felicia bid her farewell and made her way home, a silent promise on her lips that she wouldn't hunt for her next victim that night.
Over the next fifteen minutes, Sera counted at least five other people leaving the bar, smiling and waving at each as they left their tips and sent lecherous smiles her way, making her shiver in disgust. Hell would freeze over before she let any of these morons get their leg over her.
"Your friend was pretty tense, guess some alpha's are just like that"
Sera simply shrugged at the sudden voice, knowing it was the low level alpha, noticing from the corner of her eye the empty beer glass he placed on the bar top as she continued to close down the bar.
"My sister's just busy at the moment. Her final exam is coming up for her degree and a lot's riding on it. Anyone would be stressed with that on their plate"
It wasn't completely a lie. But what she wasn't about to say was that Felicia was stressed because of her murderous vigilante work against abusive alpha's.
"Hey. You should look at an alpha when they're talking to you"
Raising a single eyebrow, Sera noted the suddenly aggressive tone he was using, turning to see that he had begun to move around behind the bar, standing dangerously close to her.
"I'm afraid you need to leave now, the bar's closed and you're now trespassing"
She tried to sound professional over her encroaching sense of fear. Why had she sent Felicia home? She should have known something was dodgy about the asshole.
The alpha snarled as he made a grab for Sera, hand gripping into her hair as he gave a painful twist and growled low in throat, satisfied at the slight whimper of pain that the Omega gave, his words making Sera shiver with a familiar sense of horror as he leaned even closer into her personal space, his hardened groin jabbing against her lower back.
"Just shut up, and take it like a good little Omega… Never know, you might like having my knot in your cunt"
Just like Dunhill. Sera saw red at the realisation as he made to push her face down against the counter, free hand beginning to lift her skirt as her own hand scrabbled for anything to hit him with, not registering what the object was as she forced herself to turn enough in his grip to smash the weapon across his skull, realising that it had been a bottle of gin, relief flooding her as he fell back, clutching his skull as adrenaline took over and she thrust a shard of glass into the major artery in his throat.
Staggering back, she watched as the blood spurted from the wound, his hand pressing weakly against the glass shard, only succeeding in pushing it in further as she began to panic, his eyes were glazing over. She needed to get hold of Felicia. Now. Pulling out her mobile and dialing the number, she never took her eyes off the alpha as his hands fell limp from his throat and he became motionless in the pool of his own blood.
"Miss me or something? I only left the bar like an hour ago"
"Felicia, you need to get back here… I need your help"
There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment, a sigh the only thing that signalled the other omega was still on the line.
"Give me twenty minutes, I'll be there"
Felicia knew she was sadistic. Knew that, somewhere in her head, something had seriously been wired wrong. And, as she re-entered the bar to find Sera curled into a ball in one of the booths, tears staining her cheeks as she stared into nothingness, trying to blank the corpse behind the bar, Felicia found that she only felt hatred towards the murdered alpha. How dare he try to rape her sister and think he could get away with it. Dumping her bag down, she began to pull out the tools of her secret trade, what she would need to make this bastard vanish forever.
"You're lucky I love you Sera. It's bad enough my hands are already dripping with blood, but now yours too? If it were anyone else, I'd say not my circus, not my monkeys"
"Lucky me then… Do you really know what you're doing? I can't go to jail Fliss, I've only just been accepted onto my medical degree"
Felicia simply smiled as she pulled on her plastic suit and pulled the thick latex gloves onto her hands, beginning the process of destroying the evidence. She'd make this look like one of hers she thought as she injected the liquid into her system, feeling the weak pulse that Sera hadn't noticed begin to truly fade.
"Don't worry. I've got you on this. Remember, I promised that I'd protect you… I'd fight your battles for you"
Sera felt her tears spill as she remembered the promise in the school yard, amazed that Felicia remembered and actually planned to carry out those words. But there was a problem, something that worried her as she spoke with uncertainty.
"Felicia… I don't think you can fight this one for me. I enjoyed it, now that the adrenaline has gone, knowing that it's me who caused his death, knowing that I did this in retaliation for what he did… I enjoyed murder"
Felicia froze for a moment. She'd dreamed of this, imagined the possibility that her sister would join her vigilante activities to bring down all the alphas that oppressed their mates. But could Sera really do it without feeling guilty?
"Sera, think about what you're saying before you imagine joining me… In this, we are not the same. I feel nothing for my victims, I do this for revenge, for myself, you and any whoever suffered at the hands of another"
"I know… But maybe we are the same. We went through hell together, we both suffered Dunhill and I'm tired of pretending like you're the only one who wants to take the war on abuse to the doorstep of the bastards who do it. We can do this together, we can do it properly and we can become nightmares to anyone who wants to cause harm to an Omega"
The passion in Sera's voice had shivers running up Felicia's spine, her fists clenching for a moment to reign in the excitement of this new prospect as she smiled fully now, flashing bright teeth like a wolf about to lunge for the kill.
"If you're sure, then I won't say no… We've always been stronger together"
They both fell into silence then, Felicia finishing up her clean up and cover up as she began to think of how they could pull this off and Sera watching as she felt the rush of adrenaline take over once more, excitement like she had never known pumping through her veins. They would have blood. They would have revenge.
"And that's what I remembered…. You ain't the only one with a taste for murder"
Sera had planted her head on the kitchen counter, not caring for the discomfort as Felicia swiped a weary hand over her face and gave a groan of irritation.
"You're shitting me. So we're both killers? Serial killers that worked together. Great, just fucking great. You throw Hannibal into this at a later date and we make one happy little fucking murder family"
This wasn't good, at the rate their memories were returning, they weren't going to be able to hide this from either Will or Hannibal for much longer. And Felicia got the strangest of feelings that her favourite cannibal had been aiming for that result all along.
"We need to keep this between us for now… We still don't remember how we met either Will or Hannibal, we need that puzzle piece before we can confront either of them with what we remembered. We don't even know if they know what we know. Does that make sense?"
"Amongst all the waffled bullshit and clear panic of revealing we're both bat shit crazy murderers; I think I got the hint: keep my trap shut till you say otherwise"
With a nod of confirmation, Felicia chose to focus completely back on her coffee, her mind processing what their next course of action would need to be once the final puzzle piece was found. However, as she looked at her sister from the corner of her eyes, she noticed the slight flush of Sera's cheeks, the vague dilation of her pupils and how she seemed to be taking irregular breaths. She recognised those symptoms from her own experience.
Sera was drawing close to her own heat.
