"Hey! Do you want us to follow you or do you want to follow us?" Callie and Arizona ask Meredith and Derek.
"Oh, crap! We have to go get Bailey and Ellis, but we can be ready to go in like 30 minutes. Zo's gonna be so mad!" Meredith says, not realizing how much time has passed since she last checked her watch.
"Don't even worry about it. How about we go grab Sofia and Zola and we meet you both up at the lodge?" Arizona asks, trying to be helpful.
"I could kiss you right now!" Meredith says, thankful for Callie and Arizonas offer.
Derek and Callie look at each other quizzically, and head their separate directions.
"You want to get the car, I'll get the kids?" Meredith asks, and Derek nods in response.
After getting their navy scrubs off, Derek heads out to the parking lot as Meredith heads up to daycare. Meredith hugs her children, grabs their bags, saying a quick thank you to the daycare workers, and rushes the kids off to the car.
Derek loaded all the bags into the trunk last night, and was pulled up right in front of the hospital, with the motor running. Derek hops out of the driver's seat to help buckle Bailey into his seat. Getting all the kids into their kids into their booster seats was a workout like no other.
Granted it has gotten much easier with age, as Ellis was 6, Bailey was 9, and Zola was 12. The kids were fiercely independent and stubborn, obviously products of being Meredith and Derek's children.
After getting the kids into their booster seats, Meredith and Derek hopped into the front seat of their Porsche.
Meredith had been on the hunt for a house in DC for the longest time, because she wanted it to be perfect. Meredith had accepted that it wasn't going to be half as good as the dream house, and was really going to miss it.
Meredith was showing Derek houses at every red light, none of which either of them loved. After what felt like hours looking at house after house, the four of them stepped out to the winter wonderland better known as "Ski Chalet" in Stevens Pass, Washington.
