Equal.
He clenched his fists and tensed his jaw. Never, in all his years of life, had there been anyone able to match him.
Vanity.
He was better, superior. He was the Green Thunder and no plumber with a ridiculous mustache could beat him.
64.
The stars of the Mushroom Kingdom castle had disappeared along with their princess, which meant only one thing, he thought, adjusting his green cap with a predatory smile: Finders keepers.
Thief.
There, on the top of the mountain, a man dressed in green took the star and put it in a sack. 'Oh.' Mario thought with his mouth slightly open. 'So that's where the rest of the stars were.'
Showdown.
He had to admit that for the first time he'd faced Super Mario, stabbing and beating him up had certainly been an excellent first impression.
Disbelief.
It wasn't true. It couldn't be true. It's one thing for the bastard to manage to stab him, but it's quite another for that same bastard to manage to make a jump that even he couldn't make. Who the hell was that guy?
Wounds.
"So..." He snarled at the boastful voice of his ally. "You finally found someone to keep up with the Green Thunder, hmm?"
"Shut up." He hissed in annoyance, though the multiple bruises on his body told another story.
Similar.
"Did you notice?" Mario turned to look at the Lakitu with a scowl.
"What?"
"The resemblance between you and him." Mario growled menacingly.
"There is no resemblance between me and that thief."
Anger.
His fight against Bowser was short, but very fierce. He took out in that battle his frustration, his confusion and all his anger at previous events. (And he did not think, for a moment, of the strange longing that weighed on his chest.)
Fake.
"Mario... are you all right?" The hero in red took a deep breath, painting a fake smile on his face.
"I'm perfectly fine, princess." He was just hoping she would believe him, because, after all, why wouldn't he be all right?
Accusation.
The words were stuck in his throat as he felt the cold stare of L, his brother, drilling into the back of his head. "And when I needed you," each word was like a dagger to the heart, twisting over and over, "Where were you?"
Legends.
Mario was known for his heroism. Mr. L was known for his misdeeds. They had only one thing in common: they could both do the impossible.
AN: From now on, the drabbles won't have any specific order. It can jump form one subject to the other.
Thanks so much to Amethyst Goldenwind, lalalei and Megan Romero for your kind reviews!
Hope you enjoy it! (I'm still learning how to write in english, be patient with me, please :D)
Anyone who guesses who Mr.L's ally is, can give me a word for a drabble, or if they want an specific idea I may be able to actually write it (if you want, of course).
Read you later!
Can I have a review?
