A person stood in front of the door to the entrance of Haruhi Fujioka's home then gave a polite greeting. "Thanks for having me."

The noise from the deadbolt of the door alerted the current occupants in the house. They quickly stopped what they were doing to sit properly to be presentable for what they thought to be Haruhi's dad.

"Haruhi, I-" The voice was feminie, unlike Haruhi's father. However, it sounded very familiar to them. The person paused in whatever they were going to say, perhaps due to the unusual amount of shoes in front of the entrance.

There were 6 pairs of shoes.

'It couldn't possibly be..' The person thought.

"Kago-chan!" A cheery voice greeted.

Indeed, it was possible. There gathered in the Fujioka living room were the host club members. Haruhi was in the kitchen preoccupied with making tea.

Kagome gave a quick nod towards the hosts as her greeting, took off her trench coat and put it into the closet then quickly put her backpack into Haruhi's room. Afterwards, she went towards the cupboards helping the other girl's quest in looking for cups.

Kagome Taisho's sudden visit to the Fujioka residence was a shock to them. They didn't think she knew the female host's address. But, what shocked them more was the relative ease it was for the girl to navigate herself around the house. Her actions lead them to think that she had been there before.

Tamaki's surprised face quickly turned pale as he quickly huddled toward the twins with hushed tones. "You idiots, look at Haruhi. She doesn't know what to do with the tea you gave her. Even Taisho-san is trying to help her. Apologize!"

The three shifted uncomfortably from the realization that Haruhi didn't have a teapot.

Hikaru nudged his brother to talk, who began with a stutter. "H-hey Haruhi. Could we have the tea back? Sorry, we made a mistake. It wasn't a present for you."

"But…the tea's already done." Haruhi had already poured tea into 8 cups. "Kagome, you can sit down. I can handle the rest from here."

"Ok thanks." The girl sat down on the remaining seat, which was in between Honey and Mori.

Haruhi arrived and gave everyone a cup and sat in between Mori and Kagome, who had patted to the ground next to her for the hostess to sit.

The cups Haruhi provided varied in size and design. Tamaki was relieved that none of them were bowls. This meant the girl wasn't as poor as he dreamt about. However, his eyes lingered on the matching two that were held by the only girls in the room.

"Hey Kagome, have you been here before?" Hikaru stated bluntly.

"Yes, I come by sometimes and Haruhi helps me study."

"Ah" The hosts voiced collectively. They had visited at a wrong time.

Kagome noticed the way they tensed. "It's okay, I'll just stay over at Haruhi's tonight and she can help me this evening." Her words and the look she sent towards Haruhi were as if she was asking for the approval for the change in plans.

"Sounds good."

"You guys are pretty close." Kaoru's eyes darted towards the two matching cups.

"Kagome kept on coming over so I thought I should buy her a cup that she could always use."

"Haruhi bought one for me so I bought her one too."

"Ne, did the two of you choose each other's?" Honey's eyes lingered onto the design of Kagome's the longest.

Haruhi answered nonchalantly, unaware of the intention of the older boy's question. "Yeah, I chose it because it reminded me of Kagome."

It was a blue rose.

"Haru-chan, why do you think blue roses suit Kago-chan?" His voice held a bit of ice that went unnoticed by the two girls.

"Haruhi!" Tamaki quickly put his hands up as if to stop the girl. "Mori's host rose is the blue rose." He warned, careful to not tread onto the host's bad side

Haruhi didn't understand his theatrics. "The meaning of the blue rose is mysterious and unattainable. When we first met Kagome we were all curious about her. Besides, the blue on the rose matches her." The center of the flower was a dark, almost black, midnight blue: similar to the girl's hair. The blue of the petals were stained similar to the girl's eyes, a light blue.

'A blue rose symbolizes mystery and unattainable.' Modi's eyes hardened at the last description. She truly was.

"Haruhi's-" Tamaki interrupted Kagome.

"A cherry blossom!" He stated proudly.

"Wrong!" The twins formed an X with their arms.

"But, didn't Taisho-san pick it since it's a spring flower. It's also pink!" Haruhi's name had the kanji for spring, surely he was right!

"Haruhi's design is of a peach flower." Kyoya cooly took a sip of his tea. "They also grow in spring. The meaning behind the flower is fascinating personality."

"Peach flowers are more poofy and have a deep magenta red in the center compared to cherry blossoms." Kagome added. "It's alright Suoh-san, many people get confused by the two."

Tamaki could feel himself cheer up a little from the girl's words, until the twins barged in. "Yeah, usually tourists."

"Ne, Haru and Kago-chan." Honey directed their attention to the cake he brought. "You two choose what cake you want first. There's cheesecake, strawberry, and chocolate.

"I can choose first? How unusual."

"Frankly, we've eaten it many times so we're sick of it." Hikaru stated plainly.

Tamaki and Kaoru put a finger to their lips as they chastened the boy.

"Then I choose...strawberry." The short haired girl answered cutely that caused the 3 idiots to react.

"I'll choose chocolate."

Honey looked confused from the other girl's selection but nonetheless handed it to her. "Chocolate?" She usually ate strawberry or matcha cake in the clubroom.

"It matches with the tea." Kagome took a sip. "Chai ya Tangawizi? It's suitable for the weather right now."

"Indeed, ginger helps boost the immune system and the spiciness brings comfort for the cold."

Kagome nodded in agreement to Kyoya's comment. "But the spiciness paired with the sweetness of cake makes one want to have more of the two."

"You're right Kago-chan! It would be an endless cycle."

Kyoya noted down the two's observations. Perhaps, he could add it to their menu if it would boost sales on cake.

"You like strawberries?" Mori placed one onto Haruhi's plate.

"Yes." She answered cutely, with a slight blush dusting the girl's cheeks.

The three idiots react to it with tears in their eyes from their lost chance.

Mori noticed how Kagome stared at him. He also placed a piece onto her plate. "You want one? You always saved it for last."

"Yes…" Unlike Haruhi, Kagome stared at her share before going back to eating her cake.

Mori didn't understand the girl's actions. Usually, the girl would thank him with a smile. He was saddened, he was anticipating it.

(Honey's POV)

"Yes…" The girl took a deep breath causing her chest to heave, she looked crestfallen even though his cousin gave her a strawberry.

"Haninozuka-san?" She noticed he was peering at her face.

"...!" Her eyes widened as if she realized something. "Here." She placed the chocolate that was on top of her cake to his plate. "You wanted this, right?"

"...Yes!" He flashed her a pleasant smile.

The girl nodded as if satisfied with his answer.

He didn't miss the look his cousin made from their interaction.

He took a bite of the chocolate. It was...

In honesty, she truly reminded him of his cousin. Kagome and his cousin were both of the nurturing type.

Why couldn't the two realize they like each other? They were clearly both acting jealous.

His cousin stared at the girl while she kept eating, deep in thought.

Mori's actions were done unconsciously but the girl kept eating her cake gloomy.

Was it possible that the girl didn't know of her feelings?!

"Ne, Kago-chan?"

"Yes?"

"Can I call you by your first name like Haruhi?" His words made the girl froze.

"It is unusual." Hikaru pointed.

"You guys are engaged." Kaoru reasoned.

"Ah." Judging by the girl's reaction, the thought never occurred to her. "Sure."

"Then call me also by my first name with no suffix Kagome."

"Y-yes." She was shaken by his boldness. "Mitsukuni...kun." A lovely scarlet spread across the girl's cheeks.

It would be impossible for her right now.

"It's alright, Kagome-chan."

He didn't miss his cousin's clenched fist or the way he bit down on his lips as if to suppress something.

His cousin's actions did amuse him at first but another feeling soon took over.

It was like the chocolate, bittersweet.

If he kept antagonizing his cousin would he act upon his feelings for the girl?

He truly hoped the boy would.

P.S. I also fixed the problem with chapter 20 being the same with chapter 17. I've been trying to fix some grammar mistakes (I know there's still more mistakes!)
