DxD Fan - Thank you! I wanted to use some lesser known DxD characters and especially since I'm going off of the anime and whatever is on the wiki since I haven't read the Light Novel. I'm incorporating a lot of ideas from different anime and T.V shows so I'm hoping all of it comes together somewhat nicely.

Guest - It's kind of why I love DxD fanfiction too. The world is so well built so making characters is fun and exciting. Also I don't know if I'm that great at character development so I'll have to work on that as we go.

That night, Issei had a different dream. Was it a dream? It felt hot…like he was sitting in the middle of a volcano that was getting ready to blow. His arm had began to throb again, but it wasn't like in the interrogation room. His forearm began to morph and change, veins began to grow from his elbow as the back of his hand began to glow a bright green.

Human, it seems things are happening faster than I had anticipated.

Issei opened his eyes to see a world set on fire. Flames swirled around him with the skies set to a crimson glow. He was floating, the ground must have been 300 feet below him.

The Blue One has awaken…it won't be long until the White One makes an appearance now. You must be ready, Hyoudou Issei.

"Who…Who are you?" asked Issei.

The flames coming from the ground began to spiral and swirl into a massive ball of fire. From inside the ball, Issei saw two green eyes stare back at him. In a bright flash of light, the ball exploded…as a dragon roared with a screech.

"A…A dragon?" asked Issei.

You've improved rather quickly…being able to manifest the Boosted Gear so quickly after awakening the Twice Critical. You show potential.

"That's great and all…but who are you?" asked Issei.

I am Ddraig, the Red Dragon Emperor! The dragon's wings spread out with a ferocious roar.

"R-Right…" Then, Issei remembered. Back at the interrogation room, Toshiro said something about a Ddraig. "Wait a minute, do you know what that was in the interrogation room?"

Ddraig smiled. You've come into contact with one of the Four Heavenly Dragons, the Blue Dragon Monarch. Be grateful that you and your lot of Devils live to tell the tale.

"Why did you appear now?" asked Issei. "Who are you exactly?"

I am the dragon sealed inside of the Sacred Gear you call the Boosted Gear. I am one of the Four Heavenly Dragons, a former king of the skies. Do not disgrace me with such questions ever again, Hyoudou Issei.

Issei gulped. "Y-You've…been in my arm, this entire time?"

That is one way of saying it.

"And these dreams I've been having…" said Issei. "What were those?"

The Four Heavenly Dragons have a connection…It seems that you've been in contact with the vessel of Trishula. Trishula and I have always been rather fond of each other, I hadn't expected Trishula's vessel to come to your town.

"Wait, does that mean you know who tried to kill the High Chancellor?" asked Issei.

I don't bother myself with the squabbles of your kind, I have no interest in the affairs of humans or Devils.

Issei raised an eyebrow. "And you're telling me all of this because…"

It has been centuries since a vessel of the Red Dragon Emperor shows as much potential as you.

Issei crossed his arms. "You're not like a…tsundere, are you?"

Ddraig roared with a fury as his head approached Issei. Do not insult me human.

"M-My bad…I'm sorry," Issei gulped.

Be on your guard, Hyoudou Issei. I fear that it has been quite some time since three of the Four Heavenly Dragons have appeared. This could bring disaster. Be on your guard.

The world began to fade as his vision grew blurry.

Issei was laying in his bed. Pulling his alarm clock down from his bed frame, it was five in the morning.

"What the fuck…" Issei sighed.

He sat up and rubbed his head. First the dreams of Toshiro and his friends, and now this Ddraig guy sealed inside his left arm. He couldn't believe it's been less than a month since his life was turned upside down. Meeting Rias, getting killed by Raynare, becoming a Devil…and now getting mixed up in political businesses that could threaten the entire world.

A knock at his door caught Issei's attention.

"Issei-San?" asked Asia as she poked her head through. "Can I sleep with you for tonight? I can't sleep…"

Issei smiled. "Of course."

Asia came in and sat down besides him. "I hope Toshiro-San is safe."

"I hope so too Asia," said Issei. "None of this sits right with me…It doesn't even feel like he did anything wrong and people are hunting him."

"Will the President understand?" asked Asia. "I don't like not being able to do anything to help. I've been feeling so useless throughout all of this."

"I know how you feel," said Issei. "It's been so chaotic, I feel like I've been riding a roller coaster this whole time."

"What do you think we should do?" asked Asia. "I can't bear the thought of Toshiro-San having to experience all of this by himself…and the way he escaped today…"

"It brings up a lot of questions, I know," said Issei. "But we've seen what type of person Toshiro is, he isn't capable of something like this."

"But the way he was…in the interrogation room," said Asia. "I've never seen anything like that before."

"Neither have I," said Issei. "But he's safe…that's all that matters."

"First thing in the morning," said Issei. "I'll talk to Prez. Maybe she can tell us more and maybe we can learn more about this whole thing. I still have a feeling that the exorcists from the Church aren't telling us everything."

"You were acting pretty strange when you met them," said Asia. "Is everything okay?"

"The exorcist, the one with the brown hair," said Issei. "She looks…so familiar. I swear I've seen her somewhere before."

Toshiro woke up when he fell flat on the ground, and hearing something break.

"Captain!" cried a familiar voice.

Toshiro rubbed his head as he sat up, the straw on the ground that made up his bed felt…hard, almost frozen over. He didn't realize that it was frozen over until he opened his eyes.

He was laying in the corner of a large building that reeked of moldy cheese. There were several torches lighting the room as he stood up. The bed he was sleeping on was completely frozen over. How weird…he didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable.

"Captain! Are you okay?"

A boy with red hair ran up the stairs with a panicked looked in his crimson eyes.

"I-I'm fine," said Toshiro. Then Toshiro remembered what happened last night. The boy…Dulio, saved him from the interrogation with those exorcists and that Devil lady. The fact that that sentence no longer raised any red flags to him scared him more than the fact that he was being hunted by them. "Where are we?"

The boy smiled. "Our little hideout for the time being. How do you feel?"

"I'm…" He had to tell them. There was a lingering feeling in his heart, he knew this boy. He must be one of the friends that Dulio was talking about. If he is…Toshiro owed it to them and himself to tell him the truth. "No. There's something I have to tell you."

The boy nodded, understandingly. "I'll get the others. Come downstairs when you're ready."

"Thank you," said Toshiro.

His "room" was really more of an old storage floor. He could see several barrels lodged against the walls with a small window giving view to the outside world.

Toshiro grabbed his jacket and went downstairs. The main floor was even more disgusting then his room. Multiple coops held logs of wood, chopped up and stripped. There were several woodcutting machines, a worktable, and somehow a kitchen?

"What is this place?" asked Toshiro as he walked towards the center of the room, where a large round table stood.

"It's an old woodcutting factory that was abandoned a few decades ago," said a boy with short navy hair. "Good morning Toshiro. It's good to see you again."

"How ya feeling boss?" asked a small elementary school with long purple hair.

"Guys," said the boy with red hair. "He has something to tell us. Shut up and pay attention."

The three of them took their seats around the table, seven in total, as Toshiro walked over and joined them. He didn't even know where to begin, but he told them everything. It was fairly short seeing as he didn't have much memories, but he filled them in on how he wounded up on the outskirts of Kuoh, how he met Issei and Asia, and how he was arrested by the exorcists and the Devils. He even told them about his dream…where he met Trishula.

"I see…" said the purple haired girl. "That's quite the conundrum indeed. How much do you remember?"

"Not much," said Toshiro. "Bits and pieces every now and then, but it's more like a feeling whenever I meet someone I might have known. Like a warm feeling…like what I'm feeling now."

The girl smiled. "That's a start. My name is Kumoshiki Kyoka. The tall one with the blue hair is Amemori Gentarou, but we just call him Genta. And the one with the red hair is Arashikage Ryusei. We're your friends, to say at the least."

"This is a lot to take in," said Genta. He rubbed his head and stood up, placing a hand on Toshiro's shoulder. "But it's nice to meet you…again. I'm happy to see you again Toshiro."

Toshiro couldn't help but smile. There was an aura about Genta that made him feel safe. It was as if all of his worries and troubles drifted and was washed away by him…he felt so tranquil and in the moment.

"You…You really don't remember us? Remember…me?" asked Ryusei, looking at him with overwhelming sadness in his eyes.

This was what Toshiro feared the most. He feared meeting someone he knows he should know, but coming up empty. The feeling of sadness he could feel from their eyes…it broke his heart.

"I'm sorry…" said Toshiro.

"Don't be," said Kyoka. "We're all back together now, we're going to find out what happened to your memories and we're going to get them back."

"Kyoka's right," said Genta with a wide smile. "Don't worry Toshiro, you're safe."

Ryusei seemed to force a smile. "Trishula…did he tell you anything?"

"Before that…" said Toshiro. "What is Trishula?"

"Trishula is one of the Four Heavenly Dragons," Kyoka seemed to make a keyboard appear out of light. Multiple monitors made of light appeared as she began to type. Images of dragons rotated around the table for them to see. "They were four incredibly powerful dragons that inhabited the world back in the day. They each ruled a corner of the world. Trishula ruled the North, the King of the Ice Barrier. When the Great War broke out, the four dragons chose not to participate and instead chose to protect their territory. When the fighting ended, they were deemed too dangerous and were thus sealed into individual Sacred Gears. The one you possess, Divine Sunderer, holds the essence of Trishula."

"Sacred…Gear?" asked Toshiro.

"It's basically an innate weapon or tool that you're born with," Genta explained. "It's kind of hard to explain, but an example of a tool would be Kyoka."

Kyoka smiled. "You're looking at the Lost Archive. It's an intelligence gathering Sacred Gear that allows me to memorize each and everything I ever read or watch and saves it into it's infinite memory. I can also connect people with telepathy making communication easier."

Toshiro gulped. "That's…"

Genta placed a hand on Toshiro's shoulder. "Yeah…don't worry, I know it's kind of a lot to take in."

"But you said that Trishula said Houki knew how to get your memories back?" asked Ryusei. "Are you sure Captain?"

"That's what he told me," said Toshiro. "But I don't even know who he's talking…about…" He looked at each of them. "But I should…shouldn't I?"

Kyoka smiled and pulled up images on all four of them, and three he didn't recognize. They were sectioned off into categories, with Toshiro being at the top and Ryusei underneath him."

"This is a lot to take in, so feel free to ask any questions after," said Kyoka. "You're the Paladin of the Holy Church, meaning you're the highest ranked exorcist in the Vatican. You're the captain of the Church's first squad, one of the ten Service Squads that the Church sends out on missions all over the world. Ryusei is your Lieutenant, your second in command. And we're your squad members. Kumoshiki Kyoka, Amemori Gentarou, Kaminari Masamune, Kirihana Houki, and Hareyuki Jushiro. Like you, we're all wanted criminals of the Church…well the entire world really."

"That part I know as much," said Toshiro. "Did I…Did I really kill a person?"

"No," said Ryusei, with a firm confidence. "We didn't kill the High Chancellor…I promise you."

"But he's alive," said Kyoka. "The important thing is that father is alive."

"H-He's your dad?" asked Toshiro. "I'm sorry…"

Kyoka smiled. "Look Shiro, when we all chose to stay with you, we all knew what we were getting ourselves in. Whatever happens, we've got each other's backs. So stop bearing the weight of the whole world on your shoulders, will ya? We're friends for a reason, share the load with us."

Toshiro had his doubts…definitely. What was he supposed to do now?

"What do we do now?" asked Genta, as if reading his mind. "We've got our Captain back, but it doesn't change much."

"Hey!" cried Ryusei.

"No, he's right," said Toshiro. "The world is still after us, and I don't have any of my memories. I don't even know where to begin…"

"We begin with finding Houki," said Kyoka as she pulled up several map references from all over the world. Toshiro didn't have his memories, but he knew facts and information. "She's been all over the world. Looks like she was in Japan for a little bit, then went to South Korea, then China, Russia, Tibet, India, Greece, London, Italy…she's going west."

"Why would she go west?" asked Ryusei. "The closer she gets to the Vatican, the easier it is for them to find her."

"Houki's a smart girl, she's leaving breadcrumbs that only I can find and moving rather quickly…" said Kyoka. "She's made it to…Norway?"

"Why the hell is she in Norway?" asked Genta.

"There's so many questions and not enough answers," said Ryusei. "Well do we go get her?"

"Not much a choice," said Genta. "It's kind of weird that both she and Jushiro are in Egypt together."

"I think Ryusei and Genta should go to Egypt," said Kyoka. "Things are bad enough as it is here. We need to start building relations with the Devils in this city. Rias Gremory…we can start with her."

"So the Genta and I go get Jushiro and Houki while you and Toshiro have a chat with the Devil King's sister?" asked Ryusei.

"As much of a plan as anything," said Genta. "Let's get going as soon as we can."

"Do you think it's safe?" asked Ryusei. "We're talking about negotiating with the Devil King's sister…who knows what could happen."

"You boys handle the heavy lifting," said Kyoka with a confident smile. "Leave the diplomatic issues to me. I'll get her to come around."

"We'll head to Kuoh Academy after but for now," Kyoka set down a plate of eggs and bacon with a piece of toast slabbed with strawberry jam. "Eat up."

Toshiro had his eyes fixed on Kyoka as she happily ate her breakfast. She didn't look a day over 15, yet from what he had seen…she had the maturity level of someone twice his own age. Her long purple hair was flowing down her back as she wore a baggy black T-shirt and a pair of leggings.

"What's the matter?" asked Kyoka. "Not hungry?"

"N-No, it's not that…" said Toshiro. "I can't help but say sorry…You guys must have been through a lot trying to find me, and I can't even remember you. And your dad…"

Kyoka set down her fork. "Dad's always been a…strict parent. I practically grew up in the Church, but to be completely honest with you I never really believed in God. My whole life consisted of studying bible verses, weapons training, and training to become an exorcist. I never really…had a lot of friends until I met you."

Toshiro raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? I'm sure you had plenty of friends."

Kyoka chuckled. "I appreciate the sentiment Shiro, but you and Ryusei were sort of my first friends. You guys actually made all of that training and studying worth it all in the end."

"And I can't return the feelings…" said Toshiro. "I wish…I wish there was more I can do for you. I can't even control my own Sacred Gear."

"Well that's a different thing entirely," said Kyoka. "From what you've told me, it seems like the only things you don't remember are people and places…things like facts, knowledge, and muscle memory should still be intact. We can test them out another day, don't worry."

None of this was still sinking in for him yet…but he knew that he didn't want to let her down, or Ryusei and Genta. He wanted nothing more than to get his memories back…but he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread thinking about it all. If he didn't lose his memories by an accident, it meant that someone stole them. It meant that he was targeted for a reason…someone out there wanted him for more than just this false accusation.

"I know what you're thinking," said Kyoka. "We'll find out everything…trust me."

Toshiro raised an eyebrow. "Y-You can read my mind?"

Kyuoka smiled. "You always did have a terrible poker face. Hurry up and eat, we gotta go to the school."

Toshiro quickly ate his breakfast and helped do the dishes with Kyoka, before grabbing his jacket and leaving the warehouse with Kyoka. They were a few miles out from the city, but the walk there wasn't that bad. If anything, he was happy he could get some fresh air and not be hunted.

"Wait a minute," said Toshiro. "Won't they like…find me, if I'm just walking around?"

"Don't worry," said Kyoka. "I used Archive to cast a glamour spell on the both of us. If there are any Devils flying the skies, which I can almost guarantee there are…they'll only see two regular highschoolers walking by."

"Your Sacred Gear can do that?" asked Toshiro.

"Archive can do a lot," said Kyoka. "It stores not just knowledge that I've gained, but spells too. I haven't really uncovered the full extent of what it can do, but I'm still learning."

Toshiro gulped. From everything that Kyoka's explained to him about his past, each and every one of his friends were extremely skilled and talented exorcists. He didn't think a small girl like her would be capable of such things, guess he shouldn't really be judging people by their appearances.

"We're here," said Kyoka.

Kuoh Academy was a massive school, the biggest he's ever seen…though that doesn't really say much. Large metal doors gave way to a long bricked path with a large fountain right in front of the main school building. The school building itself looked to be four stories tall, and Toshiro could even see a gymnasium and several outdoor courts on the sides of the school.

"This is a school?" asked Toshiro. "It's more like a castle."

"Kuoh Academy is home to most of the Devils living in the city," said Kyoka. "At the heads of which are Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri, both sisters of two Devil Kings. Tread carefully Shiro."

Toshiro gulped. "So…where do we go?"

"According to Archive," said Kyoka. "Rias Gremory is the president of a school club here." She pulled up a small monitor on the palm of her hand. "Towards the back of the school."

Walking inside, he was surprised that nobody looked at them. It must have been the glamour spell Kyoka casted. In the eyes of the students here, they must come off as regular human students attending the academy.

The inside of the school was somehow bigger than the outside. Two staircases on either side of the main entrance led up to the second floor, right behind the lockers for students to change into their indoor shoes.

Toshiro followed Kyoka as she swiftly brushed past the hordes of students at the lockers and made their way to the back entrance. The back of the school consisted a large outdoor field for P.E, a track for running, and several outdoor sports courts. The two of the hugged the side of the building and walked into a small area filled with trees.

"Welcome to the Occult Research Club," said Kyoka.

It was a small lodge nestled in between the trees. It looked to be two stories tall, with clean and pristine wood with a black roof and a chimney. It somehow reminded Toshiro of a horror movie…well look at that, he still remembered what a horror movie is.

The two walked inside the building and to a pair of wooden doors on the side. Toshiro gulped as Kyoka pushed open the door.

Inside looked to be an office or a lounge, with a dimly lit chandelier hanging from the ceiling. A pair of couches faced a coffee table with a large wooden office sitting at the back of the room. To their left were three overly sized glass windows with the curtains closed, and to their left were several doors leading to unknown rooms. Rias Gremory, the girl that was in the interrogation room with those two exorcists, sat behind the desk with a girl standing by her side, long black hair and a deceptively kind smile. Sitting at the couches were four people, two of which Toshiro recognized as Issei and Asia. The others were a rather handsome boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, and a small girl with short white hair and golden eyes. All of them wore the Kuoh Academy uniform.

"Oh," said Rias. "Hello. How can we help you? Did you get lost?"

"I think we're right where we want to be," Kyoka waved her hand as the glamour spell broke, revealing who they were.

"T-Toshiro?" asked Issei, jumping to his feet.

"You're alright…" said Asia, with a relieved smile.

"I figured you might come, but not this soon," Rias smiled and stood up from her desk, walking to the front and leaning back with her arms crossed. "What can we do you for, exorcists?"

"I think there's been a rather massive misunderstanding," said Kyoka. "I'm here to clear the air."

"Um…I'm here too, you know," Toshiro whispered to Kyoka.

"Oh, sorry…I get carried away sometimes," she smiled awkwardly. "Anyways! You've figured it out, haven't you? Or at least have had your doubts."

Rias sighed. "I hate to admit it…but this all seems far too convenient."

"We came here to proctor a truce between you and us," said Kyoka. "As of right now, we know next to thing about anything. The only person who does, had his memories stolen from him. Whoever stole them, doesn't want us to know or interfere with whatever they have planned. And seeing as they were bold enough to kill the second highest position of power in the Vatican, it's safe to say they don't care about the turmoil they could cause."

"And what's to stop me from turning you into my brother?" asked Rias.

"Curiosity," said Kyoka. "I know you're just as curious about all of this as I am. Whoever did this was able to manipulate the entire world into targeting us, I don't know what they're after but it's bad. It'll be a mutual deal. Whatever we know, you'll know, and vice versa. We can help each other. You may be a Devil, but I know you care about the people of this city, this school."

"Rias," said the girl with long black hair. "This could be an opportunity for us."

Rias sighed. "Very well. I'll speak to Sona when we're done. Is there anything else you wanted to discuss?"

"We've found our Captain, but most of our Generals are scattered across the world," said Kyoka. "We're going to find them, which means that there might be trouble coming to Kuoh. We'll do our best to mitigate damage, if it comes to it we'll leave Kuoh."

"That seems reasonable," said Rias. "We'll provide help if you ever need it. But I won't be able to hide this from my brother, soon enough he'll find out. We need to find out the truth before than. It could cause an international incident if we're caught working with wanted fugitives."

"Understandable," Kyoka smiled. "That's all I wanted to come and say."

"T-Toshiro," said Issei, standing up. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the watch that he had given Issei. "I think…you should take this back. It belongs to you anyway."

Toshiro smiled. "It was a present, remember? You guys helped me out…just take it."

"Are you sure though?" asked Asia. "It looks so valuable."

Kyoka narrowed her eyes. "Wait a damn minute is that…" She examined the pocketwatch, and then sighed. "Shiro, for future reference…if you ever lose your memory again, it would be wise to keep all belongings on your body. Especially if they're made of a condensed astral silver."

"Oh, of course," said Toshiro.

"We'll take that back," said Kyoka, taking the watch. "I apologize for all the trouble our Captain put you through."

"N-No, it was our pleasure," Asia smiled. "I hope we can continue to work together from now on."

"Ryusei and Genta went to Egypt to find two of our friends," said Kyoka. "One of which, we hope can give us a clue as to how our dear Captain here managed to get outplayed and lost his memories."

"I'm right here," said Toshiro.

Kyoka smirked.

"Is it Kirihana Houki?" asked Rias. "The Sorcerer Supreme?"

"She rather hates that nickname," said Kyoka. "But she's well versed in many forms of magic. Maybe whatever magic was able to steal Shiro's memories."

"That level of magic…" said the girl with long black hair. "It'd take an extremely powerful mage to pull off that level of spell."

"Well if anyone's gonna know, it'd be Houki." said Kyoka, crossing her arms. "Speaking of which, where are Xenovia and Irina? I figured they'd still want us."

"They're staying at the local church," said Rias. "It's been abandoned since Raynare, so it's a good place to lay low."

"Raynare?" asked Kyoka. "Is she still alive?"

"No," said Issei, with a cold and grim face. "She's not."

Toshiro felt like Kyoka had just stepped on a landmine, but it didn't seem like she picked it up all too well.

"I see…well she was always somewhat of a crazy girl," said Kyoka. "We'll be on our way now."

Ryusei screamed at the top of his lungs as he and Genta plummeted some 50 feet directly towards the smoldering hot sands of Egypt. Their impact blew the sand up into the air as dust and smoke covered the area.

"Seriously!" Ryusei pulled his head from the ground. "Work on your landings!"

Genta flipped up and wiped the dirt off his pants and shook it out of his hair. "S-Sorry…"

"For the love of…" Ryusei looked around. There wasn't much in the deserts of Egypt…just a lot of sand. But in the distance, he could see the outlines of a city. But there was something…

"Dude…" said Genta. "What is that?"

Genta was pointing to a large structure about two miles from their current position. It was a large…pyramid, but upside down. At the top of the pyramid, or the bottom technically, was a glowing red eye. It was almost touching a much larger pyramid on the ground. Now Ryusei knew where they were…

"We're a few miles out from Giza," said Ryusei. "Near Cairo. The Pyramids…I've never actually seen them."

"You think they're in there?" asked Genta.

"Well big, floating, upside down pyramid in the middle of Egypt with a glowing eye?" asked Ryusei as he rubbed his head. "What could go wrong?"
