I do not own Phineas and Ferb. I do, however, own PJ and Winnie as they are my OCs. This chapter takes place months after her death. PJ is still in a coma and his parents are divorced, and the Fletchers are also not together anymore.
I am going to respond to the reviews I got so far.
Weirdo254: I'm sorry that you feel this way, but don't worry, things in this story will get better.
Wei: Great theories. However, none of them are accurate. The one thing I can tell you is that Winnie will NOT be revived.
Galaxina-the-Seedrian: The thing is, PJ did not see who shot Winnie. He only found Winnie's body. If he wakes up, he may have to remember what he did before he found Winnie's body. Perhaps what he saw on the news could be a clue.
Anyway, let's get back to the story.
An image was shown of Winnie and PJ as toddlers frolicking in the Fletchers' backyard. Every day when they were young, they would often spend a lot of time outside, regardless of how crappy the weather would be. They would use their vivid imaginations to transform their backyard into a mental, adventurous landscape. And after they would get tired, they would always invite each other to their houses for a snack, but before they would, they would sing the same melody.
(We've got the whole wide world in our yard to explore.
PJ: My name is PJ
Winnie: My name is Winnie
And we are as happy as we can be.)
The dream PJ was having in his comatose state somehow left a slight smile imprinted on his face. It was a shame no one noticed, not even his dad, who had sat down next o his son's bed every day for the past few months waiting for him to wake up. What Phineas wouldn't give to see his son open his eyes again. Seeing him in this state was too much to bear. It was just too depressing for him to see.
Phineas zipped up his black jacket and scratched his beard before stretching and getting on his feet. He planted a kiss on his unconscious son's forehead before heading out.
He exited the hospital and entered his car. He was hesitant to head back to his house because now it didn't feel like home anymore. The more Phineas thought about it, the more he realized the impact Winnie's death had on his family. His wife left him, his son is in a coma, his brother became a poor drunkard who stays up all night drinking and sleeps in during the day, and now his sister-in-law wants nothing to do with Ferb anymore. Phineas's house went from a place where PJ and Winnie would sit down on the couch, talking and laughing while Isabella and Vanessa baked them treats and he and his brother would gather at the table drinking their fair share of coffee and talking about innovations, to a deserted area where it smells like old expired food Phineas forgot to throw out.
Phineas parked his car in his driveway. Normally, when he would enter the house, he would expect either his son to welcome him home with a high-five or his wife with a kiss, but now that his wife is at their friends' house and his son is in a hospital, Phineas only sighed as he dragged himself up to his room. He didn't waste time taking off his jacket. He just collapsed on his bed and buried his head in his pillow as the tears of grief and heartbreak began to breakthrough.
Who can fix all of this...who?
At the Johnson House, Candace was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for her husband and sons. She would have expected a call from her daughter while she's in college, but she knew college would keep Amanda busy.
Jeremy sat at the kitchen table, drinking his coffee as their blond-haired son darted downstairs, still in his pajamas.
Xavier yawned and rubbed his eyes. He smiled at his dad. "Morning. Happy Saturday."
Jeremy turned from his phone and smiled back. "And good morning to you too, son. Where's your brother?"
Xavier rolled his eyes. "Dad, you know Fred's a heavy sleeper, ESPECIALLY on Saturdays."
Jeremy laughed and Xavier took a seat next to his. His mother handed him a plate of bacon and eggs. She smiled and ruffled his hair. "Eat up." Before returning to the stove.
Before Xavier took a bite of his egg, he asked. "Hey, mom. So Uncle Ferb and Aunt Vanessa are...through?"
Candace looked over at her son and gave him a sad frown. "I'm afraid so, hon."
Xavier put his gaze down and looked rather bummed. It was bad enough he, his brother, and his cousin had to lose Winnie. The fact that his step-uncle's life is turning upside was too much to digest.
Then the thought suddenly hit Xavier. He rapidly ate his breakfast before hopping from his chair and up to the bedroom he shared with his brother.
He knew that the only way he could reach out to his family and most likely get this whole situation under control is to get ahold of his distraught uncle. He also knew the location of Ferb's apartment, but it was a 30-minute drive away. He's going to need a ride, and at 17-years-old, he STILL doesn't have a driver's license...but he knows someone who does.
Fred was snoozing when his brother began laying a multitude of slaps on his face. "Hey, hey, hey, bro, get up!"
Fred fluttered his eyes open. "Huh?" Once he realized it was just his brother, he moaned and threw a pillow at him. "Leave me alone, Xavier.
"Listen," Xavier began, "our whole family has fallen apart. We lost Winnie and Grandpa Lawrence. Aunt Isabella and Uncle Phineas are not together anymore and their lives have completely been shattered, and the same is for Aunt Vanessa and Uncle Ferb."
Fred sat upon his bed. He grabbed his comb that was on the nightstand to fix his messy hair as Xavier continued.
"We need to find Uncle Ferb."
Fred froze and put down his comb, staring at his brother as if he had seen an asylum escapee. "Are you nuts? He's a drunkard now."
Xavier gave Fred a stern glare. "I'm so sorry, but that just so happens to be our Uncle. He was the sweetest out of everyone in this family, and he just lost his DAUGHTER! Of course, he is going to resort to alcohol. He lost his baby and us...we left him. We abandoned him to fend for himself."
Fred widened his eyes. Holy cow! His brother had a point. He then raised his eyebrow and asked. "What can we do about it?"
"You have a driver's license, right?"
"Right?"
"Mom and dad are not busy today. We can take the car."
"Are you crazy?"
"We'll tell them that we want to take it for a spin around town."
"Alright, let's get ready then."
In a matter of ten minutes, Xavier and Fred were downstairs in the usual day-to-day attire that they wore as kids, except in bigger sizes to fit them.
"Hey dad, can we take the car out? We wanna go sightseeing towards downtown."
Jeremy raised his eyebrow at his sons before nodding, throwing his car keys for Fred to catch.
"Thanks!"
Soon, the Johnson brothers were out. Xavier hopped onto the passenger seat as his brother was in the driver's seat. They buckled up and Fred started the car, exited the driveway, and drove towards the inner city of Danville, perhaps the most insecure area in the entire Tri-State, so they can confront their uncle and repair their family.
To be continued...
