Ace groaned, putting his head on the desk as the teacher asked boring history questions, his black as coal, hair covering his eye. As always, a beautiful blonde-headed girl shot her hand to the sky, smiling like her face was stuck. It wasn't a bad smile, it was the kind of smile that made your heart melt. Or at least that's what boys Ace say they do when they're near her. "Ugh seriously, no one else. Fine, Madilyn?" the teacher scolded the class. Madilyn replied in her so sweet that you could get cavities just by hearing it, voice. ``Um I believe that Alexander Hamilton was George Washigntons right- hand man. ANd thanks to his friend, Marquis de La Fayette, he stayed the right hand man until Washington resigned from presidency." "Correct, as always," the teacher said under her breath. *RING!* "Ugh finally," Ace thought. He packed his bag and walked outside to the bus. He walked in and took an empty seat. No one wanted to sit next to Ace, he was just too weird, and edgy. But as Madilyn stepped into the bus, all eyes were on her. Guys were drooling over her, girls were jealous, but everyone almost fainted as she asked Ace, "Hey, is this seat taken?" Guys were about to push the person next to them off the seat and run up to her and say, "My seats open!" Ace just glanced at her and shrugged. "Yeah." "Awesome!" She sat down, Ace scooting closer to the wall. The rows had 2 seats each, which made Ace feel awkward. He's never had anyone sit next to him, except for in class, where no one had much of a choice. "Hi, I'm Madilyn!" she said, looking like it's nothing to start a conversation with the edgiest guy in the entire school. "Yeah, I know. You're the girl that lights up the room." He said with his hands closing and opening. "You, really think that?" She asked, curiosity getting the best of her. Ace nearly blushed, quickly saying, "Oh no, I mean you have a perky personality, all the guys are saying that." After an awkward, "Oh, okay," from Madilyn, Ace introduced himself. "Yeah I know, you're the guy that has a cloud of thunder above your head." Ace stared at her, as Madilyn quickly added, "That's what all the students say. But, I don't think that. I think you just need someone to talk to." Ace thought about it, before asking, "So, why'd you sit here with me, wouldn't you rather sit next to one of the jocks?" "What do you mean?" "Well, it's just that you're so perky, you could be a cheerleader in an instant. And don't they hang out with jocks?" "Cheerleaders are just overly perky girls who cheer just to attract dumb and shallow guys. I'd do anything not to be one." "Oh. Cool. Great confidence." Madilyn just sat there, and now it was Ace's turn to start up a convo. "So, do you know what the theme for the School Dance will be?" "Um, I think it's Disco, but honestly, I hate that. It's too-" "Old." They both looked at each other, before Madilyn softly said, "Jinx." Ace made a face, and turned his head to face the window. "Sorry, Ace." Madilyn just sat there, relaxing herself. And in a few minutes, that girl was dead asleep. Ace didn't mind, she didn't do anything: didn't snore, didn't move. She just sat there, air pods in her ear, probably listening to music. Ace sat, facing the seat in front of him. They'd only been in the bus for like 3 minutes. When they reached 5, the bus took a scary turn. That turn moved everyone, including sleeping beauty. Madilyn didn't move much, but her head did fall onto Ace's shoulder. Ace panicked, what was he supposed to do. Guys started getting crazy jealous, girls gossiped, but no one even thought about taking pics. After another 5 minutes of Ace falling asleep on her head, she yawned, Ace moving his head as she woke up. "I'm sorry, did my sleeping annoy you. It's just that My house is far. Anyway, this is my stop. See ya tomorrow!" She didn't wait for a reply, leaving Ace's wave hanging.
