Author note: I know Glee has finished, but I would still like to finish this story. So here goes. My goal is to have this story finished before the end of the year. I'm also finishing my CSI:Miami story. Both stories have been written but need to by typed out.

I hope you like the rest of the story (all of which was finished during the fourth season of Glee).

Emergency Glee meeting

"Hi Rachel… I just dropped Mike off so I'm free...The Lima Bean? Okay." Tina shut her phone and started the engine. With one last glance at the Chang house she turned to the Lima Bean. After a short ride he parked at the Lima Bean. She saw Lauren walk over. "Hi Lauren."

"He Tina, you also got a call from Berry?"

"Yes, let's go in." Tina said, both girls walked into the bar. They quickly spotted Rachel and Mercedes sitting together. "Hi, why this Glee emergency meeting?" Lauren asked as she sat herself opposite Rachel, expecting her to talk. "We need to do something for the guys. It is totally unacceptable that they won't be able to play their big game." Rachel explained.

"Agreed, but how are we going to do that?" Lauren didn't like beating around the bush. Rachel first turned to Tina: "How is Mike?" Rachel asked before answering Laurens' question. Tina sat down and sighed: "I have never seen him so hurt and disappointed. He doesn't want to wear his letterman." Tina showed the girls the jersey. The other girls remained silent for a few moments. "It's the most coveted piece of wardrobe for the male McKinley students and he doesn't want to wear it?" Mercedes asked unbelieving.

"I know, he is so disappointed in his teammates. He always gives his all and he expects the same from his teammates. That they aren't willing to do that... They might as well have told him that the championship isn't important. While Mike knows it is important at least to him." Tina explained, putting the jersey over her legs. It still smelled like Mike. The slamming of Rachels' hand on the table broke the silence. "That's it. We need to do something for the guys. It is totally unacceptable that they won't be able to play their big game." Rachel said decisively.

"Agreed, but how are we going to do that?" Lauren asked, not prepared to beat around the bush.

"Well... I think it is safe to say that talking to the other football players is out. They won't listen to us." Rachel said, Mercedes and Tina nodded.

"Maybe we could give them a good shaking." Lauren suggested.

"And get beaten up as thanks, no I don't think so." Tina responded. Lauren shrugged. "Lauren, we are just four girls and the other three are not as strong as you." Tina reasoned. Rachel nodded: "We need to find a way in which the boys can play. Blaine and Kurt were here earlier and Blaine told us that to play we actually only need four more players. So maybe we could ask some of the other guys at school to sign up."

"Like who? The only boys I talk with are the boys in Glee." Tina said.

"Maybe the boys in the band?" Mercedes suggested.

"Why would they do it though?" Lauren asked.

"For the school?" Tina said weakly.

"Oh come on, nobody who goes to McKinley would ever do something for our school." Lauren commented.

"Well, I'm going to call the boys of the band, see what they'll say. Perhaps some of the guys on the wrestling team could help, Lauren. Who don't we just try and then we'll see." Rachel was already dialling on her mobile. Not really feeling confidently the other girls started dialling everybody they could think about. Half an hour later Rachel closed her phone, defeated, one glance at her frends told her all she needed to know. "No one." Tina said feeling down. She so badly wanted to help and to have to admit defeat came more as a blow then she wanted to admit. All she could see was Mike's face, the hurt and anger in it. Mercedes and Lauren also shut their phones. "Now what?" Mercedes asked. The four girls remained silent. Then Mercedes saw Rachel fidget with her phone. "Rachel, what is it?" she asked, because Rachel never fidgeted, except when something really important was on her mind. Mercedes saw her scrunch up her eyebrows. It took a moment before Rachel spoke up, uncertainly: "I was thinking, maybe ... no I'm sure we can't ... or maybe, it is high school football ... no it's crazy, it will never work..." Irritated Lauren stopped her rambling: "Berry, spit it out. What is your plan?" Rachel looked up, as if she only just realized the others were present. "Okay, the boys only need four more persons to play, right?"

"Yes, we know, that's the problem." Tina said.

"We are with four. Why don't we fill those places?" Rachel blurted out. The shock on the faces of her friends would have been comical if this had been a joke, but it wasn't and the others knew it. "I am pretty sure the other players have to be guys, Rachel." Tina said hesitantly, because she wasn't sure at all. "I'll dial Blaine, he'll know." Rachel immediately dialled and after a short conversation she put her phone down: "The remaining players can be girls." She looked around expectantly. "But we can't play football. We're not trained, we don't know how to play and have you seen those tackles?" Mercedes said.

"Maybe we don't have to play. The guys need four more players to field a regulatory team. What if we just lay down when they snap the ball?" The disbelief on the faces of the other girls started to subside as Rachel explained her plan.

"Well I'm going to play, I'm not going to lie down on the field." Lauren stated.

"Will coach Beiste go with it?" Rachel asked looking at Tina, clearly thinking Tina would know this. "I don't know, maybe if our parents knew and consented to this."

"I'll make up the papers and we'll have our parents sign them." Rachel said, already organizing everything. "Wait. We can't do this, the guys will be the laughing stock of the school. They can't win with us in their team." Mercedes said.

"You're right Mercedes, but they'll get to play. They have worked so hard to get here. I think playing is more important to them then winning." Tina reasoned, she really wanted the guys to be able to play, but she saw the hesitation in Mercedes. Tina looked at Rachel: "What about this: we'll keep trying to find others to play, we'll use this as a last resort. Okay?" The remaining three girls nodded solemnly.

"Okay, with that this emergency Glee girls meeting is concluded." Tina, Lauren and Mercedes rolled their eyes but as they saw the twinkle in Rachel's eyes they burst out laughing. As they laughed and the conversation turned to lighter subjects Tina thought about the three girls here who all genuinely wanted the best for their Glee boys. Rachel was often overbearing and pushing, but in times like these Tina was grateful for her pushy, get it done attitude. Besides, Tina had seen that in the last year some of the rougher and uglier edges off Rachel had been polished somewhat and she was really putting in an effort. The best point in this was her gracefully giving Tina and Mercedes a solo after sectionals. And her acceptance speech for the MVA award after regionals coupled with her song "Get it Right' had showed how much she wanted to change those ways. Sure she was still overly ambitious, but she was at least trying and Tina appreciated that. So when the girls left to go home Tina threaded her arm with Rachel's: "Thank you, Rachel." Rachel fondly looked at Tina: "You're welcome, Tina. Don't worry, everything will work out in the end."

"You don't know that." Tina pointed out.

"Well, it won't be for lack of us trying." Tina laughed: You're right. I'll see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." And with that Tina and Rachel walked to their cars.
