Chapter 5:

I'll Be Damned (Damon, Cisco, and Frost)

Damon came to Cisco to help him break in Caitlin's apartment. He didn't want to do this but he had to. Frost wasn't easy to track down unless she wanted to be found and the last time totally blew her off.

"This is so wrong." Cisco whispered. "I feel bad for doing this."

"This is on me, buddy. Once she comes back as herself she'll understand."

Cisco put on his vibe glasses and was ready to open a breach to Caitlin's apartment. Damon let out a sigh and hoped it would be worth it. He felt bad to do so but he needed answers. He tapped Cisco's shoulder to tell that he's ready.

Damon jolted a little when Cisco opened a breach with his vibe powers. "The world has changed so much huh? So I just need to jump in this." His hands pointed to a breach in front of them. "This is absurd."

"Hey you said you used to be involved in the supernatural world. This isn't more absurd than whatever you had." Cisco murmured. "So just get in the breach. I guarantee your safety."

"Woah!" Damon jumped and tried to balance himself when he suddenly appeared in Caitlin's apartment. He almost hit a table. It was quiet and dark as if she barely came home anymore.

Damon turned on some lights. "Well, little sis, let's find out what you've been hiding. Sorry in advance."

He went directly to her main room. At first he only found her things in her room which were clean and neat. The bed was cold and never made. Damon sat for a while on her bed and breathed in some air. He then found a big white teddy bear near the pillows. It was the bear from their first prize ever at the carnival.

"I will not give up on you, Caitlin. I would do anything to get you back and make sure you get the life you deserve." He hugged and kissed the bear then put it back on its place. "And all the happiness in the world is what you deserve."

"Caitlin, I'm back. " Damon was going to do his errand but he was told by Caitlin's foster mom that Caitlin ran away and back to the apartment. Damon had to go back soon when he was just crossing the town line. "I know you're here, little cupcake."

When he got no answer, he went to her room. She might hide in there and cry herself to sleep like she used to do whenever she was sad and lonely. Damon was ready to surprise her but he didn't find her.

"I bought cupcakes and frozen yoghurt for you. If you don't want to, I'll have them for myself." He teased her because he was sure she was there. He looked for her everywhere, under the bed, underneath the sheet and last in the wardrobe. He eventually found a 10 years old girl hiding between clothes.

Damon bent down near her. "Don't eat the cupcakes and yoghurt. They're all for me." She said, looking up on Damon who looked at her with a smile. "I don't want you to leave me." She attacked him with a hug.

The last spot he searched was her wardrobe. He took a deep breath before he opened it. Some things never changed. Damon found a very detailed storyboard with a timeline. Caitlin used the inside of the wardrobe like a case board. He threw all of the clothes there to see it clearly.

"I'll be damned." He cussed. It's a complete timeline of her life that was mostly related with Damon. She remembered everything that he had compelled her to forget. She kept track of how he didn't age a day and how it didn't match the years with his look now. She put on every photo they had on the timeline board.

"How does it feel to find out all your lies get busted? But that's not as bad as finding out your whole life and bond was built on lies." That voice shocked Damon.

Damon turned around and begged. "I can explain."
