Mike? Our Mike? That Mike?
Kurt had to hurry to keep up with Mike, but he managed to keep up. "Wow, Mike, I didn't know you had that in you?"
"What do you mean?" Mike turned to Kurt seeming confused. Kurt saw none of the anger, just a whole lot of worry in Mike's expression. "The talk you just gave, Mike. Telling those football jocks what had happened today, defending the Glee girls."
"Oh that." Mike shrugged: "It had to happen. They are never going to learn otherwise. Considering what happened to you it should have happened earlier, I'm sorry." Mike alternated between looking in front of him and at Kurt. "Tina was in the girls locker room right? Or is she in de choir room?" Mike sped up a little. "According to John she is in the girls locker room."
"'Right." Mike turned to the door of the locker room, he quickly knocked: "It's Mike. Tina asked me to come, can I come in?" from inside someone called that he could come in. Not wasting time Mike opened the door and briskly walked in. "Tina!" he called, not really taking his surroundings in.
"Here, Mike." Brittany called, Mike saw the girls huddled in a corner. As he walked forward, Lauren, Mercedes and Rachel moved allowing him to finally see his amazing girlfriend, looking like a small hurt animal. "Hey T. I heard you wanted me." Mike said as he kneeled in front of her. Tina nodded. "Mike, it hurts so much. I can't move without it hurting." Mike softly laid his arms around her and hugger her carefully. As she laid in hi warm arms Tina felt her tears fall from her eyes, she was hurting and tired and now safely in Mike's arms she could finally just let herself go. Mike was here and everything would be all right.
Faintly she heard Santana aske Kurt what had taken so long. Kurt who had followed Mike tore his away from the couple and turned to Santana: "One of those Neanderthalers said something stupid and Mike had to set him straight."
"Karofsky?"
"Surprisingly…no." Santana raised her eyebrows. Kurt continued: "I was surprised also, but Karofsky, in this instance, tried to defuse the situation. He was probably afraid of what Mike would do if he was pushed any further. You should have seen it. I have never seen Mike so angry and affronted."
"Mike? Our Mike? That Mike?" Santana pointed to Mike who was softly shushing Tina.
"Yes Mike. He defended you all. He was amazing." Kurt said, before he could continue Coach Beiste and John came in. "How is miss Cohen-Chang?" Coach Beiste asked the room at large. "Better now Mike is here." Quinn said. Coach Beiste walked to them and when she stood beside Mike and Tina and saw Tina's face, she said: "Oh dear, how are you Tina?" Mike answered, when he saw Tina tired face: "Hurting and tired, but she'll live, coach." Mike looked up at his coach. She smiled and stroked Tina's head reassuringly: "Well, she couldn't be in better hands then yours mr. Chang. Please take care of her."
"I will, coach."
"Oh…and that was some speech you gave. It gave your teammates much to think about. I'll see you both later."
"Thank you coach and you'll see us later if not tonight then Monday." Mike then turned all his attention back to Tina. Coach Beiste had one last thing to say before she left: "I want to thank all of you girls. Without you we couldn't have won. So thank you." The girls accepted the thank you's and saw coach Beiste leave.
