I've got the Whole Universe…and an awful lot of running to do!

Relieved the route towards the Source chamber were easier to get to now the doors were open, and she remembered the route there anyway - Jenny ran to the fusion-drive transport ship berthed near the chamber while Cline and one of the Hath ran after her after she had woken up after she had absorbed a mixture of her father's regenerative energies and the Source's own energy to effect a basic 'regeneration' of her own without changing her entire appearance while she resorted to a basic healing coma in order to recover from the injury she'd taken from Cobb when he'd shot her.

She could hear them in the distance behind her, but she wasn't worried about that, where the Source was kept in stasis until it was needed to start off the colonisation and terraformation of the planet; a part of her was tempted to just stay on Messaline for a little bit longer so she could witness the once barren planet transform into a paradise, but she wanted to get away from the planet instead.

Jenny had inherited a good deal from her father, and while she was sure he had left in the TARDIS - she knew the Progenation machines genetically transferred memory from parent to offspring, so she wasn't surprised she knew of the existence of the TARDIS, along with some of his memories even if she was a long way from understanding them all - Jenny was positive he was not going to come back.

Why would he? As far as he, Donna, and Martha were aware, she was dead. There was no reason for them to return, and while she was sad about that, Jenny saw it as an opportunity. She knew her dad had left Gallifrey centuries ago, stealing the TARDIS in the meantime in order to escape and travel the universe, and he had made quite a journey for himself.

While it would have been fun for her to see and experience the universe the way he had, travelling in the TARDIS especially with all the good memories he had of the old Type 40 timeship, Jenny actually saw it as a great opportunity; if her father could grow as a person after taking a ship of his own, visiting hundreds of worlds and hundreds of time periods, why couldn't she do the same thing?

As she raced through the launch bay, she stopped for a moment and stared up at the fusion-drive transport, discovering that the original colonists to the planet had crewed a number of small shuttlecraft down and the ship she, her dad, and Donna had seen earlier was just one of many but there hadn't been time to further explore the bay, and she grinned. She had no idea what she would see and where she would go, never mind what she would actually do and whom she would meet on her travels, but Jenny was looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead.

Running to the boarding door Jenny raced through the airlock and closed it off before she headed for the control deck, and she found and slid into the comfortable single chair on the control deck before she examined the controls briefly. She might not have seen the controls of the ship before, but Jenny believed her father's mind had transferred significant knowledge of the controls of a simple spacecraft like this while she was sure she could hear the faintest sounds of footsteps outside.

In just a matter of seconds, Jenny had the engines powering up while she checked the systems; the transport rocket might not have been operating for the past seven days, but it looked okay to her, the transport showing it had an almost full fuel supply but she was hopeful she could find a way of topping it up later on while Jenny prepared to leave the planet of her birth…

"Jenny? What're you doing? Come back!" Cline's voice asked over the intercom.

"Sorry, can't stop!" Jenny grinned happily as she continued to flick the switches in preparation for her long voyage before she smirked cheekily. "What are you going to do, tell my dad?"

"But where are you going?"

Jenny spoke as she settled back into the chair, taking the steering controls tightly as the shuttle lifted off, feeling the gravity field in the cabin stopping the g-force from pressing down on her as she checked the computers and instrumentation. Her course was set; the computer had a good selection of navigational charts of the regions near the planet, including one where the nearest inhabited star system was; she couldn't think of a better place to start. "Oh, I've got the whole universe! Planets to save," her smile widened as she felt the ship shake with the force of the engines, "civilisations to rescue, creatures to defeat…and an awful lot of running to do!"

The shuttle broke free of the atmosphere and Jenny gasped. It was one thing for her to see ghosts of planets, stars, moons, wormhole reefs taken out of her father's memories, but seeing the black vista of space was breathtaking for her. She tried to count how many stars there were in her current view, but she quickly stopped after two hundred and ninety-four, there were just too many of them out there for her to muster the effort.

Jenny promised herself she would one day visit many of the planets and star systems out there. Piloting the shuttle of Mesalline's orbit, Jenny suddenly lost control of the shuttle.

"What?" She asked aloud and she tried to regain control, but nothing worked. She tried flicking a few switches, but again nothing happened and the transport slowly moved forwards, and when Jenny stopped trying to regain control of the shuttle she saw from the monitors and instruments the computer was guiding the ship somewhere, adjusting their position using the thrusters and the engine. She looked up and saw a number of ring-shaped objects in a higher orbit.

The transport slowly moved towards one of the objects, continuously adjusting its heading before it docked with one, and Jenny looked at the monitors and saw readouts for MAGLEV SEALS ENGAGED before the ring slid slowly down the line of the transport until it was clamped into place.

Jenny's confusion gave away to a smile when she saw the monitor readout WARP RING POWERING UP; JUMP IN ONE MINUTE.

When the transport jumped into warp drive, Jenny sat back in her chair. She might have missed out on an opportunity to travel with her father in the TARDIS, but she still had a ship and while she wasn't sure if this ship would be hers for good, it didn't really matter to her.

She was still going to go out, save civilisations and battle monsters, and run around a lot.
