June 19, 1984. Jackson, Mississippi. Day. The Human World.
Sly Cooper woke up. He was a grey male anthropomorphic raccoon. He looked to be around the age of 21-22 years old. The hot sun was beating down on his fur. The last thing Sly Cooper remembered before passing out was him fighting Cyrille LeParadox atop a blimp in Paris, France.
Sly Cooper was a master thief who came from a different world. A world that looked almost identical to the human world, except that the entire population of that world consisted almost entirely of anthropomorphic animals. Sly was finishing defeating LeParadox. Suddenly, the blimp went through a time vortex. Sly's vision was white. He didn't know where he was. The thieving raccoon didn't realize that he was in the human world in the 1980s. He had no clue that in front of him, stood a family of Caucasian humans standing shell shocked.
The family were the Kores, consisting of 3 males and 2 females. One of the males was a middle aged man with blood red hair that was short and straight. He had brown eyes, like Sly's. He was wearing a neon blue Superman T-Shirt, with parachute pants. He wore Converse sneakers on his feet. His name was Vincent Kore. Next to Vincent was his wife: Julisa Kore (nee Smith). Julisa was a beautiful woman in her mid forties with copper hair. She had blue eyes, the same blue eyes as her son, Richard, and her future grandson, Julius. She was wearing a neon pink T-Shirt with acid washed jeans. She wore leg warmers. Julisa also wore sneakers on her feet.
In front of the 2 adults stood 3 children: 2 teenagers and 1 pre teen. The eldest child was a girl. She had big, long beach blonde curly hair. She had hazel eyes. She wore thin rimmed glasses. Her name was Kristina Kore. She looked to be nineteen years old. Kristina wore a neon yellow hoodie over a mini-skirt. The middle child had Julius Kore's same exact hairstyle and color. He also had blue eyes like his future son Julius and his mother. This child's name was Richard Kore. Richard wore a He Man and the Masters of The Universe T-Shirt over denim jeans and red Reeboks. Richard was 12 years old.
The last of the Kore children was Scott Kore. He was 17 years old. He had jet black hair so dark that it would make Harry Potter jealous. Scott's hair was big and had a emo hair style. He had green eyes. Scott wore a flannel shirt over parachute pants. He was wearing generic shoes. All 5 members of the Kore family were in shock. They were looking at a raccoon. A anthropomorphic raccoon. The kind of raccoon that you would find in a Saturday morning cartoon.
The grey male raccoon had on all blue clothing: blue hat, blue shirt, and blue boots. The raccoon slowly got up from the ground. He was now standing. He grabbed his cane. Sly Cooper looked like a 2D cartoon Ruby-Spears character in this world.
"Hi, my name is Sly Cooper." The raccoon said in perfect English. The entire family freaked out. They slowly backed away. The Kore family had just gotten back from shopping at the local mall. They were not expecting to see a Saturday Morning cartoon character laying in the backyard of their house.
"Relax," Sly said "I'm not going to hurt you."
Richard went up to the raccoon and felt his pulse. This raccoon was real. It wasn't an optical illusion. A 2D Saturday Morning cartoon character really was standing in front of the Kore family.
"What are you?" Julisa asked Sly.
"I'm a thief." Sly said.
The eldest Kore family member went to get his rifle. His family would be damned if this cartoon character stole from his family. Vincent came back with a rifle. He aimed at the raccoon.
"If you try to steal anything from my family, your hands will be the consistency of powder." Vincent said to Sly.
"No worries." the raccoon said to the human man. "I only steal from other thieves and criminal gangs. I don't steal from ordinary people."
"Fine, but if I catch you stealing from people other than the people you say you steal from, your hands will be gone!" Vincent said to Sly.
"Ok." Sly said.
Vincent lowered his gun. Sly was welcomed into the Kore household. The kitchen was huge. It had a stove, polished wooden floor, a countertop, everything. Sly walked into the living room. The living room had a 24 in box television set. It had a Mattel Intellevision video game console hooked up to the television set. A TV show was playing on the television. It was Miami Vice. Miami Vice was a show about two undercover detectives and their extended team through the mean streets of Miami, Florida.
The living room had a couch and a rocking chair. He went upstairs. Richard led the raccoon to his room. Richard's room had movie posters covering the walls of his room.
Richard's room had a brand new Apple Macintosh computer. The Apple Macintosh computer had a keyboard and a mouse. He also had an Apple 2 computer. He had a 16 in RCA television set. It had many channels. Underneath the TV was an Atari 2600 video game system that was disconnected from the television set. Richard's room had white cardboard boxes that were full of many Marvel and DC comic books. Richard's room had a bed. It had everything. Richard even had a VCR hooked up to his TV. His desk drawers were full of cassette tapes from various musical artists like Van Halen, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, among several other things. Sly looked around Richard's room in amazement.
"What do you think of my room, Sly?" Richard said to Sly.
Sly was stunned. Most of the things in the room he was familiar with. The VCR, Apple Macintosh, comic books and movie posters were the things that Sly wasn't that familiar with. He wished his turtle friend Bentley was in this room. He would've had a blast.
"I think that this room is amazing!" Sly said happily.
"Cool." Richard said.
"I wish my friend Bentley was here," Sly said. "He would've love to hang out in this room."
"Who is Bentley?" Richard asked the cartoon raccoon.
The raccoon told the twelve year old boy everything: about his family heritage of thieving, how his parents died by the hands of a criminal group called the Fiendish Five, how he met his friends at an orphange, how he met Carmelita, everything. It took Sly almost 2 hours to explain the things that he went through and how he ended up here in the year 1984. When Sly was done explaing to Richard, he asked Richard,
"What did you think of my adventures?"
"Incredible!" the 12 year old boy said. "What's your name?"
"My name is Sly. Sly Cooper. My real name is Sylvester, most people call me Sly." the raccoon said. "What's your name?"
"My name is Richard Kore." Richard said to Sly.
"Nice to meet you, Richard." Sly said.
"Nice to meet you too, Sly." Richard said.
That's how a family of humans met a cartoon thief named Sly Cooper. Sly and Richard watched TV for now. Sly couldn't wait to explore the world of the 1980s.
