Richard decided that in order for Sly to go to the arcade in public, he would have to disguise himself in some pretty decent clothing. Due to Sly being around the age of 21, there weren't a whole lot of outfits for Sly to choose from. Richard asked his parents if Sly could wear some of their old clothing. They said yes. So, Richard picked out some clothes for the raccoon to wear.
The outfit that Richard chose for Sly to wear was: a dark maroon hoodie with baggy sweatpants. He also put a digital watch on his left wrist. Sly was allowed to keep his Reebok shoes on. Richard looked over Sly's outfit once he got done changing.
"How do I look?" Sly asked Richard.
"You look awesome!" Richard said to the raccoon.
Off Sly and Richard went to the arcade. Richard told his parents that he was going to bring Sly to the arcade with him. His parents said OK, as long as the raccoon didn't attract any unwanted attraction. Before he left, Richard grabbed all of the quarters of of his piggy bank. He had a ton of quarters. He gave some of the quarters to Sly. They headed out the front door. Two people were waiting for Richard: a boy and a girl. The girl had sandy blonde hair. She had dark green eyes. She was Caucasian. She wore bright neon lime green dress jacket with acid washed jeans. The girl's name is Samantha Been.
The boy was Hispanic. He had curly black hair. He had hazel eyes. His name was Jack Blackwood. Jack wore a periwinkle Lacey shirt, with red Lycra pants. He wore Air Jordan sneakers.
"Hi, Richard." Samantha and Jack said to Richard.
"Hi, guys." Richard said to his two friends. "Guys, I want to introduce you to my new friend: Sylvester "Sly" Cooper."
Samantha and Jack looked at the raccoon in awe. The raccoon had grey fur. It was a male raccoon. The raccoon was wearing a dark maroon hoodie with baggy sweatpants with Reebok shoes. He looked like a 2D Ruby-Spears cartoon character.
"This raccoon is your friend?" Jack asked Richard.
"Yes, this raccoon is my friend, Jack." Richard said. "Got a problem with it?"
"Not really." Jack said.
"Where did Sly come from?" Samantha asked Richard.
"I come from Paris, France." the raccoon said.
Samantha and Jack were shocked by what the raccoon just said.
"Did that raccoon just speak to us?" Jack and Samantha asked in unison.
"Yes." Sly said. "I can speak."
"I know," Richard said to his friends. "My family and I were shocked when the raccoon talk to us too. Then, we got over it."
"Ok." Samantha and Richard said.
Richard got his bicycle out from the garage. He give Sly his brother's skateboard. Scott walked out the back door. It was a bright sunny day. He saw Richard and Sly coming out of the garage. He noticed that Sly came out with his skateboard.
"Hi, Scott." Richard said to his brother. "Can Sly use your skateboard? Him me and my friends are going to the arcade."
"Sure." Scott said. "The raccoon can use my skateboard as long as he doesn't break it. I paid $250 for it."
"Ok." Richard said.
Richard, Sly, Jack and Samantha all rode their bikes to the arcade. The arcade that they were going to was named: Joe's Joystick. Joe's Joystick was a popular arcade. It had everything. It had Donkey Kong, Joust, Robotron 2084, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Frogger and many other arcade games. It also had ping pong machines. The quartet made it to the arcade in about 10 minutes.
They parked their bikes and skateboard in the bike rack. They entered the arcade. Sly was blown away from the spectacle of the arcade. Dozens of kids and adults were playing arcade machines. They were playing games like Gorf, Missile Command, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Frogger and much more. Once the 3 humans and 1 raccoon got past the manager of the arcade, they all went their separate ways.
Sly went to the Frogger arcade machine. Samantha went to Ms. Pac Man. Richard went to Donkey Kong. Jack went to Centipede. Richard was a whiz at Donkey Kong. He played the game many times, even completed it a couple of times. He inserted a quarter into the arcade machine. The familiar Donkey Kong starting theme played. Donkey Kong was carrying a human princess in his arms. He reached the top girder and stomped 4 times, breaking the other 4 girders in the process. Then an image of Mario appeared. Richard started to play Donkey Kong.
Sly on the other hand was busy trying to figure out the controls of Frogger. Frogger, for those of you people who've never heard of the game, was a extremely popular arcade game in the 1980s. It was released just last year, in 1983. The goal of Frogger was to take 4 frogs to the river on the other side of the screen. The frogs have to traverse streets full of cars, and rivers full of lily pads and logs. It was fairly simple, for people who played Frogger before.
Pretty soon, Sly got the hang of playing Frogger. However, he eventually realized that his frog character needed to die because he didn't want to hold up the arcade machine. So, Sly let the frog character in the arcade game die three times. He got an average high score.
The arcade manger was perplexed by the strange creature. He wanted to alert the authorities, but he also didn't want to be locked up and his arcade shutting down. So, he decided to not do anything, in fear of losing his job and his arcade. Joe was a man in his mid 30s. He had owned this arcade since 1979. In a couple of days would be his 5th year opening anniversary. Joe had a mullet hairstyle that was platinum blonde. He had coffee brown eyes. He was Caucasian. His assistant was a black woman named Tanya.
All of the kids had a good time. A couple of hours later, Richard, Sly, Jack and Samantha went home. They had a blast at the arcade.
