Journal Entry. March 1986. The Kore Household.
Richard P.O.V.
It has been 2 years since my entire family was murdered by the Furious Five. I miss my mother, father, uncle George and aunt Patricia very much. I am disappointed that Sly Cooper caused my family to die. Shortly after the Bar Mitzvah Massacre 0f 1984, I was interrogated by the police. I told the police everything about the raccoon known as Sly Cooper. I told the police that the raccoon was a nice alien and that he was not hostile. I also told the Jackson Police Department of my involvement of the Furious Five heist.
Since I was too young to go to regular jail, I had to go to a Youth Correctional Facility for 3 1/2 months. I was released under good behavior. My sister Kristina acted like a mother towards me, since she was around 19 years old by then. Now, she's 21. She had to raise me, my brother Scott, and my cousin Freddy. Despite the fact that Sly inadvertently killed my parents, I still found Sly to be a good friend of mine in the short period together. I recently found out that the members of the Furious Five disbanded.
Clarissa Glass was released from prison a couple of weeks ago. She raised her kid in a new neighborhood that is located somewhere in Delaware. I recently heard that she got married to a rich guy. Clarissa eventually became a very famous fashion designer, more famous than Gianni Verscae and Guccio Gucci.
Ricky Spanish was sentenced to five years in jail. He will most likely rot in the jail.
Leonardo Payne was released from jail. He moved to New York, where he became an officer for the New York Police Department, a profession that would later go on to his nephew Max Payne. Max Payne would go on to work for the NYPD as a detective, before his wife and baby daughter was killed in a similar fashion to Frank Castle's family.
Tyrone was sentenced to death by lethal injection for the crimes he committed.
Victor was the only member of the Furious Five to not be captured by the Jackson Police Department. He evaded jail time and lived off the gird. His current fate is unknown as of my journal entry. I hope Sly has a good future.
Epilogue. August 23, 2018. 32 years later. Scott Kore's residence, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Julius Kore hated basements. They were old, dirty, disgusting, displeasing and most all boring. A lot of people kept a lot of their old things in basements. Like old Marvel and DC comic books, VHS tapes, Laser discs, etc. Their was not really a whole lot of stuff that was worthwhile in basements. So when Julius was asked by his uncle Scott to help him clean out his basement, Julius was not interested. But, Julius soon realized that helping his uncle would be a good opportunity for them to bond. So here Julius was, helping his uncle clean out the basement of his house.
He was sifting through a batch of old Marvel comic books. The comic books were mostly Thor, Spider_man, The Incredible Hulk, Ghost Rider and Iron Man comics. Julius was an avid comic book collector. He was a huge fan of Marvel Comics. He was a huge fan of characters like Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Shang-Chi, Blade, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and a bunch of other Marvel heroes. He was also a big DC fan too. He had already sorted out which DC comic books that he wanted to keep for himself. The rest would go to Goodwill, a donation store.
Julius was astounded by the amount of Marvel comic books that his uncle Scott had in his possession. He had so many Marvel comic books that it would make the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest comic book collection.
"Damn, you have tons of Marvel comic books here, uncle Scott." Julius said to his uncle Scott. "You have enough Marvel comic books to fill up an entire library!"
"Yeah, I do have a pretty big Marvel comic book collection." Scott Kore said to his nephew. "I collected so many Marvel and DC Comics comic books that my friends used to call me "The Marvel DC King." I had to sell many of my Marvel and DC Comics to various donation centers."
"Ok." Julius said to his uncle.
Once Julius had picked out a few comic books that he wanted to keep for himself, his uncle Scott put the box of Marvel Comics away. Julius went upstairs and put the comic books on the living room table. He then went back downstairs to finish cleaning out his uncle's basement. He came across a box of old VHS tapes. Julius took a look inside the box of VHS tapes. There was tapes of familiar movies and TV shows, like First Blood, Rocky, The Terminator, etc. He gone through the box until he found 2 VHS tapes near the bottom of the box. He picked up the tapes.
One of the 2 tapes was called: Sly Cooper 1984. The other tape was called: The 1984 Bar Mitzvah Massacre. Julius was confused by the titles of the tapes. Sly Cooper was a popular video game character that was created by a video game company called Sucker Punch Productions (which has no relation to the 2011 Zack Snyder film Sucker Punch) in the year 2002. It was originally created for the PlayStation 2 in the mid 2000's. 5 years ago, there was a fourth Sly Cooper game called: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time that was released in 2013.
Julius was a big fan of the Sly Cooper franchise. He had been playing the games ever since he was six years old. He looked at the title of those tapes. It was impossible. Sly Cooper was created in 2002, not 1984. If Sly Cooper was created in the 1980s, every Sly Cooper fan would know about it.
Julius stood up. He noticed that his uncle Scott was gone. He probably went upstairs, taking a break from cleaning the basement. Julius turned on his miniature flashlight. The beam of light illuminated the dark basement room. He found an old TV with a VCR already hooked up to it. Julius walked over to the TV and turned it on. The screen was blue. He put the first tape into the VCR. He pushed the play button. The tape started up. The tape showed grainy footage of Sly Cooper in a suit and tie.
The raccoon had his hair nicely combed and trimmed. Julius noticed that Sly didn't wear his signature donimo mask. He wore his natural furred mask. Sly was in the bathroom. He was getting ready for the Bar Mitzvah coming up. Julius's family was Jewish. Sly's suit looked almost identical to the suit that Sly wore to Rajan's ball in India in the second Sly Cooper game. He wore khakis. He walked out of the bathroom. The raccoon walked downstairs to the living room.
A timestamp in the lower right corner read: Oct 31, 1984. 8:30 P.M. The cameraman walked downstairs with Sly. The entire Kore family was all dressed up in suits and dresses. There was Victor and Julisa Kore, along with Scott and Richard. There were several other people in the living room too. Victor's Brother, George Kore and his wife Patricia Kore was there, with their 6 year old cousin Freddy Kore. George was wearing a dark green suit. Patricia was wearing a pink dress. The living room had party decorations and a large stereo.
The stereo was blaring the song: "Mary Jane's Last Dance" by Tom Petty. A few minutes later, Sly and the Kore family gathered together.
"Tonight is a special night." the unseen cameraman said. "This is a special night in which Richard becomes an adult."
Julius's father's name was Richard. He saw thousands of photos of his father when he was a kid in the 1980s, as was his uncle Scott and aunt Kristina.
Richard looked suave and handsome. He wore a suit like the other people in the Bar Mitzvah party. The entire family held up their wine and champagne glasses together in cheers. Suddenly, gunshots could be heard. A group of 5 men burst in through the door and started to shoot at the family. Julius was shocked. He watched his entire family being slaughtered on tape before his eyes. He watched the entire thing. After the tape ended, Julius ejected the VHS tape.
He was shocked at the fact that his favorite video game character, Sly Cooper, caused almost his entire family to die at his father's Bar Mitzvah party in 1984. Julius sat there stunned. He now hated the Sly Cooper game franchise. Julius went upstairs, leaving the tapes behind him. He now realized that Sly was more than just a video game character. He was a murderer.
The End.
