Chapter 22: My name?
Well we're back
YAAAAAAY
*makes weird happy sound*
Let's doo thiiiiis
"Do you know when I will take over?"
"I don't plan on thinking about it."
"Well let me answer it for you."
"..."
"Soon."
The escapees crashed on the tarmac ground as they landed in the middle of the city. Bypassers looked at them strangely before continuing on their journeys. Rai groaned in pain as the Absol's horn poked dangerously at his abdomen, her body sprawled upside down on his belly and groin. Zara rubbed her head vigorously before groaning in her own language. Jessie was still in shock, her eyes still wide with panic as she took sharp breaths with her petite mouth.
Lucy was knocked out as her soft head collided on the hard floor, creating an almost cartoon-ish sound as she did so.
Bonnie scrambled to her senses, being the first to stand up and recover her bearings.
"Wh-where are we?" She looked around, gazing past the blur of trainers and citizens alike.
"Eterna city, looks like it." Rai groaned.
The group got their bearings as the mass mob of civilians avoided them like land on a river. The Absol remained quiet and distanced herself from the group as Rai checked up on each member.
"Are you alright?" He said.
"Yeah."
"I have an owie."
"Mm."
"I'm alright, thanks."
Rai looked at the alabaster creature near his friends, he observed her state, her mane, her face. She looked terrible at best, her trembling body proved as evidence. He approached her being, taking careful and slow steps towards her as he remained as neutral as he could.
The Absol watched him carefully, her body tensed, ready to dart away from him once he makes a rash move.
Rai spoke no words as he came closer and closer to her, keeping his face straight and his body language as neutral as can be whilst he approaches. The Absol shifted backwards centimeter by centimeter at each step he took.
Within inches of her, he stopped and kneeled. His arms stretched out to grab her, but they never fully did. They just hung there in the air, paused as if it is waiting for permission to advance. Rai nodded at his gesture, signalling her of his intentions. She quickly recognized them, but held her ground.
"I'll wait until you come to me, but please hurry, my arms will hurt soon." Rai said. All eyes faced her as they waited for her own response. Zara gestured for the Absol to go ahead rather brashly, and Jessie observed quietly.
Lucy, on the other hand, did the pokemon's work for her, taking of her paws to Rai's hand forcefully.
"Let master hold you! he's very soft." She spoke.
"O-okay." She replied.
Rai heard her voice and was held back. It had such a regal tone to it, yet nothing was regal about what he looked at.
With the utmost care, Rai picked her body up and cradled her in his arms. An overwhelming odour expelled from her fur, which seemed to intensify to her lower body. Rai could smell it as he stood up with her in his arms. The stench smelled sweetly with slight spiciness as it tingled inside his nose. Rai couldn't help but to involuntarily blush as the Absol stared deeply at his eyes with her blood-red that shone like rubies.
"Where are we going?" She spoke softly.
"We're going somewhere safe."
After taking the Absol to the pokemon center to get healed alongside Rai's team, He took her to a nearby lake for her to wash.
Zara insisted on hunting for Magikarp within the shallow waters, but Rai reprimanded her just before she left. Lucy managed to obtain a rod from one of the trainers who were fishing nearby and played with it, throwing the string in the water and sometimes the tip of the rod too since she had no idea on how to use it.
Zara saw the 'heinous act' and decided to take action, snapping the rod in half.
"My super rod!"
"Kid, you have to learn fishing in a more physical way. That stick won't help you reel in the big ones anyway."
"B-but..Roddie!" Lucy's lips quivered, ready to release a torrent of wailing.
Lucy bawled on the edge of the lake, holding the golden bits of the rod as she swayed back and forth on her body.
Jessie watched another trainer and his Milotic gliding across the waters. She could see them snake through the waters gracefully at swift speeds and with such grace that all she could do was sit beside the lake and be filled with awe.
Bonnie was meters away from the lake, hiding in a bush. Just the sight of the sapphire liquid made her body shiver.
Rai was near Jessie and was standing on the shallow lake, waiting for the Absol to jump in. His clothes and cloak were situated near Jessie, who guarded them terribly.
The Absol was adamant about staying away form the waters. She dipped her paw to test it, but she immediately retracted upon contact. Her intentions were made clear, but Rai wasn't going to leave her untidy state like that for long, if at all.
"Come on, it won't hurt you." He reached his hands out re-assuringly once more, only for the Absol to face away from them, disinterested in his offer.
"I'll drown."
He sighed.
"Lucy! Come swim with me." Rai called to his pokemon.
Lucy's distant bawls came to a slow close, as did her rocking. She walked along the banks towards Rai and the Absol, passing Jessie, who was in a frozen stupor. Lucy clung to her snapped rod. as she approached them, her eyes strained from crying and her fur matted due to her tears.
'How the hell did she get a super rod?' Rai thought as he saw her standing beside the Absol.
He walked towards the bank and held his hands out for Lucy to jump to him. She reluctantly placed 'Roddie' beside the Absol and jumped in the shallow water, creating a small splash which struck the Absol, much to her dismay.
Lucy doggypaddled towards Rai as he held her close.
"There, if she can do it, then you can." He nodded to the spectator with Lucy in his care.
Hesitantly, she dipped her paws into the water. The touch of her claws caused small ripples in its surrounding area, forming rings upon rings of water around the place of origin.
She scrunched up her face, probably due to the initial temperature on contact.
Sighing, Zara jumped out of the lake and sped towards the Absol, who was testing the waters constantly.
"Here, let me help you!" In one swift movement, Zara grabbed her hind legs and chucked her into the shallow water
"Nyah!"
*splash*
Limbs thrashed about, screaming was heard, water splashed about, facepalms went all round.
"Get it off! Get it off! Ahhh!" The Absol screamed.
"Or, you can just stand up." Rai deadpanned.
Lucy quietly giggled at the amusing Absol who was screaming in 'danger' on knee-high waters.
"It's all around me!"
"Yes. Water is all around you." Zara replied.
Rai neared the absol and preceeded to clean her thoroughly, splashing water on every dry surface in her furry body. Although she thrashed around as Rai cleaned her, she managed to calm down as time went by through the procedure. By the third minute she had already calmed down and was purring lightly at his touch.
All of the slime, dirt, grease and other fluids washed away onto the lake, forming an iridescent ring around her. Zara winced and Lucy was more than happy to distance herself from it, but Rai soldiered on, feeling that more cleaning had to be done.
Meanwhile, Bonnie watched the activity from afar, shivering for no apparent reason. Her sights veered over to Jessie, who was in a world of her own at that current moment. She abandoned her grassy recluse and decided to sit next to Jessica.
"They look wonderful, don't they?" Jessica said.
Bonnie looked at her direction to see the Milotic and what was supposedly its trainer. It lovingly nuzzled his cheek as he fed it a blue object, which it happily ate. The trainer saw the Gardevoir and Blaziken from afar and waved his hands in the air to greet them, in addition to the Milotic who waved its tail. It shone in the sunlight, blinding those who saw it at a certain angle.
"That golden tail sure is shiny." Bonnie giggled as she saw Lucy flailing about after looking at it, presumably due to her being blinded.
"Heh yeah." Jess replied as she stared at the gleaming scales.
"What else are we going to do in Eterna Rai?" Bonnie asked.
"Well, for one thing, we have to go to a gym." Rai replied. "I have yet to claim a badge, you know."
"Sucks to be the gym leader who has to face against us" Zara chuckled.
"Indeed. Most trainers would still be starting out at this rate, and we missed Oreburgh too." He said. "If only we had a flying pokemon..."
"I want to fly, master!"
"I'll find a flying type pokemon for you then."
"Yay!"
The Absol remained silent throughout the bland conversations of the group, opting to lag behind them as they spoke. Unfortunately for her, Rai caught sight of her actions, even with Lucy sitting behind his head.
"Hey, what are you gonna do when we finish the gym?" He asked.
"Uh..um..."
"Didn't you live in that shelter? Should we just take you back or what?"
"No! not there!"
"Where else are ya gonna go kid?"
"I...don't really know."
"Wanna come with us? We won't harm you, and I'll feed you. You won't have to worry about any guys apart from me." Rai smiled.
"Why did you say that?" Jessica asked.
*sniff* *sniff*
"She's in heat."
Embarrassed at the correct accusation, she looked away with flushed cheeks.
'Well it explains the scent I got when I held her...' Rai thought.
He paused beside a building, where his group soon promptly followed. They used its shade for a short rest as they talked things out. The Absol was comforted by Bonnie, who took care from the crescent horn she wielded on her head, carefully aiming it away from her breasts.
Lucy took a short nap beside Zara, wherein she disappeared within her bushy crimson mane. Jessie followed Rai inside the bue-roofed building, helping him with whatever duties he had to do.
"What happened at Saviors shelter?" Bonnie asked out of the blue.
"N-none of your business." The Absol replied.
"We were chased by an Arcanine and his buddies, I think we do have some sort of business in this matter."
"Well...From what that creature said earlier: I'm in heat, which makes me a prime target for obvious reasons."
"Wow, you must have it rough out there."
"Move far enough from the shelter and away from the spectators near the fences and you can do anything in those fields."
"So that's why they chased you."
"Exactly. I just hope that the child we left behind made it out alive. Grawler can be pretty mean to humans of the same gender."
"C-child?"
Bonnie's eyes shrunk to the sizes of pricks at the sudden realization.
"Dear Arceus...we forgot...we forgot..we forgot Ka-"
"We're back!"
Rai and Jessie exited with his bag filled to the brim on his shoulders and one of his hands holding what seemed to be an inversely-coloured pokeball. The Absol eyed it curiously.
Rai kneeled down to the Absol, pokeball in hand and a smile to come along with it.
"May I?"
She stared at him, and he stared at her.
"If it means being safe, then go ahead."
Slowly, the premier ball came close to contact, ready to capture Rai's 5th pokemon.
But suddenly, he retracted it.
"Come to think of it, I've never gotten your name. What is it?"
"My name?... I don't think I have one."
"Then, to commemorate this capture, I'll give you your first and only name then!"
"What will it be?"
WEEEEE'REEEEEEEE BAAAAAACK BABYYYYY
*sigh*
Sorry.
Christmas took alot of my time and on top of it all i decided to take a break for a while.
But I'm back! and ready to make you guys/gals happy!
Also, I've started on making a short dialogue right before the start of each chapter which wwill be something that happens later in the story.
(something major or just something to excite you for things to come)
I found out a major plot event that I can intertwine with the characters whilst I was training my shiny Lucario (relatively superior IV too :D) in platinum.
Mustard Cario looks terrible, I must say.
Until then.
