Chapter 13

Payback's a bitch.

"Are you sure that this is okay?" Rukia asked Riruka.

They were both chatting under the blankets, it was midnight and Hisana went to sleep a few hours ago. Riruka thought that it was the perfect time to plot their revenge against Inoue Orihime and, while she didn't know the girl personally, she always took to heart whenever someone would hurt her best friend. It didn't matter that she hadn't seen Rukia in the last century, she could tell that nothing had changed between them.

"It's okay," Riruka assured her "you'll give her a chance to apologize, that's the first part of the plan" she explained "if even after that the girl insists on making you miserable we'll go with the other part of the plan..."

"Total annihilation" Rukia said frowning.

"That's what you call it," Riruka said "but we better keep everything between us because you make it sound like we're planning a murder."

Rukia sighed.

"Is it fair?" she asked quietly.

"Is it fair for her to leak your identity? To create pure mayhem and chaos inside your brother's office?" Riruka asked back "you know, I'm even tense about what we'll read tomorrow on the internet and the newspapers! Hisana-san will be tear to pieces by the press since apparently she's now your mother..."

Rukia winced at that.

"And that's just one side" Riruka continued "the press will probably say something about how the Kuchiki clan forced her to hide her pregnancy to avoid the scandal, your brother won't have it easy either."

Rukia buried her head on her pillow.

"I should've stayed in the lamp..." she groaned "but still, I don't want to be girl who goes around plotting the dismissal of her enemies I mean, I'm not the same as her."

Riruka shrugged.

"You'll just make her say the truth" she reasoned "that way your brother will understand what happened, don't you want him to know?"

"I do" Rukia said without hesitation "I cannot stand the thought of Nii-sama angry at me" she closed her eyes while ignoring the tears that wanted to come out "I need him to understand why I did it."

"Then?" Riruka asked.

"We'll do it" Rukia said decisively "I'll do it for my family and for me."

"That's the spirit" Riruka praised her proudly.

"Sometimes is hard for me to believe that you're the smartest boy of your age I've met" Byakuya said coldly as a maid left two tea cups on his desk.

"Did you just compliment me?" Ichigo asked happily with widened eyes.

"Don't make me regret it" Byakuya warned him.

The maid bowed and left the studio.

"So..." Ichigo said while taking his tea cup "am I fired? Am I going to face some punishment for hugging you?"

Byakuya simply stared at him as Ichigo took a sip of his tea. The orange haired boy thought that perhaps Byakuya didn't mind the hug so much, he wasn't completely naked when it happened and they have known each other for a long time it wasn't as if...

Ichigo gulped.

"Is the tea poisoned?! Am I going to die?!" he asked panicking.

Byakuya sighed.

"I wish," he admitted coldly "unfortunately I love my sister so I cannot kill you, I will consider poison once you set her free."

Ichigo chuckled weakly, he didn't know if Byakuya was kidding or not but he supposed that he could worry about that later, they had more important things to discuss for now.

"Listen, Byakuya" Ichigo said "I'm going crazy, it's not even been twenty four hours but I..."

"You feel the need to see her face, to hear her voice and, even if you were denied the pleasure to touch her, you just want to make sure that she's okay and smiling" Byakuya stated while resting his chin on his hand.

Ichigo gaped at his boss.

"Amazing," he exclaimed surprised "you put it into words!"

Byakuya nodded.

"I was in your same situation a few years ago" he said "I can tell that for you to come all the way here, and for you to believe that you could fool my security team, you are seriously into deep."

Ichigo frowned.

"Is it all because of the master and genie thing?" he asked quietly "am I going to feel normal after setting her free? I... I want to know if these feelings are the real thing, I have never felt like this."

Byakuya crossed his arms, seeing his younger self reflected in Kurosaki Ichigo had him feeling something he couldn't name, was it pity? Empathy? He wasn't sure, he also doubted he wanted to know, but he didn't want to torture the boy and, for some sick and twisted twirl of fate, he was the only one who could give some explanations to the orange haired boy. This was truly bothersome.

"Your feelings are real," Byakuya said and Ichigo's eyes widened "there's a certain degree of possessiveness and dependence that comes with your role as a master but that's all, the magic does not force you to fall for your genie."

Ichigo hid his face on his hands.

"Fuck..." he muttered "the first girl I'm crazy about is my boss's little sister, what kind of unlucky asshole am I?"

The most unlucky one Byakuya thought.

"You know," Ichigo said "I think that the reason why she got me feeling like this is because she's something I've never seen before" he reasoned "I want to..." he gulped and avoided Byakuya's gaze "I want her everything, and I want to give her my everything, does that make sense?"

Byakuya kept quiet.

"I mean," Ichigo continued "I don't want anyone else to discover how fucking magical, fun and sexy she is. I'm the one who found her, isn't it my right to have her by my side? To enjoy her undivided attention on me?"

Byakuya already knew what the boy's next words were going to be.

"She's mine" Ichigo concluded.

Byakuya sighed.

"Half of what you just said is the master talking," he said "the other half is you, I'll leave it up to you to decide which is which."

Ichigo groaned.

"How do I get rid of the "master" thing?!" he questioned "it's annoying as hell not to be able to understand my own emotions! Besides, I don't want to behave like a caveman around her, I just want an honest and normal relationship!"

Byakuya knew it was a long shot but it was worth a try.

"Set her free," he exhorted him "it's the fastest way to get rid of your role as a master."

Ichigo scoffed.

"How long did it take for you to stop being a master? A few days?"

"One year," Byakuya answered "that's how long we were together as genie and master, after deciding my second wish I set her free."

Ichigo gaped.

"What? Why did it take so long for you to decide your second wish?"

Byakuya rose an eyebrow at Ichigo.

"Have you decided your second wish?" he questioned but didn't give Ichigo a chance to answer "no, you haven't because you, like me, have everything you need and you are not a mindless victim of the greed that consumes most human beings. You're privileged."

Ichigo nodded.

"It would be completely different if you were poor, avaricious or a bad person" Byakuya reasoned "but that's not the case and Hisana and I are thankful for that."

Ichigo frowned.

"You said that Hisana-san endured a lot of masters, right?" he asked "how... I mean, I don't want to pry but how was it for you? How... how does the man who has everything ends up falling in love with a genie?"

Byakuya sighed.

"Considering how you've been taking care of my sister I think it's fair for me to tell you my story" Byakuya said "I trust that everything you hear will be kept a secret."

Ichigo nodded and Byakuya started to explain.

Rukia tiptoed into her sister's bedroom with Riruka behind her and once she saw what she was looking for she smiled victoriously, it was a good thing that Hisana was a heavy sleeper. She walked towards the bedside table and grabbed Hisana's cellphone and, once she made sure it didn't have a password, she left the room.

"Now," Riruka whispered "look for the boy's number and once he accepts we begin our master plan."

Rukia nodded as she searched for the number.

The next day Ichigo found himself drinking coffee at the Kuchiki mansion while a maid served him breakfast. He felt as if he had been run over by a truck at high speed, Byakuya and Hisana's history was amazing and interesting, no wonder why those two were crazy in love.

Byakuya had told him to wait for him so they could go to the office together, which was weird and nice at the same time, so Ichigo decided to check the news while waiting and he regretted that decision almost instantly.

BREAKING NEWS!

Our favorite clan around town had an amazing secret!

As many of you probably saw yesterday Kuchiki Hisana, the current lady of the Kuchiki clan, admitted to have a daughter with Kuchiki Byakuya, our favorite businessman and head of the Kuchiki clan.

This came as a shock because, for as long as we've kept the couple on the spotlight, we've never seen Kuchiki Hisana pregnant! So, was the child adopted? We DON'T think so! If you see Rukia (the Kuchiki heiress) next to Hisana we can tell that those two belong to the same family! Which led us to the conclusion that they hid the pregnancy and the child's existence.

Why?

Could it be that she was a mishap before the marriage? Could it be that they didn't intend to keep her? I guess we'll never know! But, considering how old-fashioned and traditional the Kuchikis are, we are betting that Kuchiki Ginrei is not exactly happy with his great granddaughter (quite sad, uh?).

Now we wonder, what does Kuchiki Soujun, who is right now living overseas, think about the whole thing? Perhaps Kuchiki Rukia was living with him? Did he send her to her parents because he couldn't control her? Or because he got tired of dealing with a young girl? Perhaps none of the grandparents wanted her.

We're sorry for her and for Hisana, who obviously was denied the pleasure of being a mother all of these years, unless she didn't care at all.

Shall we investigate? Don't worry, we'll keep you informed!

And for those boys who are wondering, the not so lucky heiress stated that she already has a boyfriend but don't worry! We'll work hard to discover who this boy is!

Stay tuned!

Ichigo groaned. He was begging, imploring that Rukia and Hisana didn't see any of this but what worried him the most was Byakuya, he would definitely throw a fit over the whole damn thing and Ichigo couldn't blame him.

"Explain it again," Rukia said as she watched TV with Riruka "all of these people are…"

"Part of a talk show" Riruka said as a maid pour orange juice for them "they have people over and discuss celebrities, events, politics…" she waved a hand "is mostly bullshit, are you sure you want to watch it?"

Rukia nodded. It wasn't as if really wanted to see, she personally didn't care what humans thought, but they had already said that they were going to discuss the Kuchikis and, Rukia thought, that listening to them would give her a more firm resolution to do what she was planning.

Riruka shrugged.

"I guess it's a good thing that Hisana-san is taking a shower right now," she muttered nervously "oh! It's starting!"

Rukia gulped as the host of the show received two men and one woman. Rukia's eyes widened as she recognized her as one of the reporters that interviewed her in front of her brother's building. Was it Rukia's imagination or did she look eager to start talking?

"So," the host started "Ellen you were one of the lucky ones who saw the little heiress yesterday? What did you think about her?"

"Well," the woman said, clearly proud to be on national television, "leaving aside the fact that she was obviously looking for the attention she didn't get at home…"

"I'm killing that bitch!" Riruka declared hotly as Rukia gasped.

"She's pretty enough," the woman continued "quite unique eyes, skinny and short. Just like her mother, if she can be called that after obviously not being with her for years, but…" she lowered her voice "I'm worried about her, did you see her nose? Something happened to her."

"Worried?! She just insulted me and now she's worried?!" Rukia asked offended.

"Are you suggesting abuse?" one of the other guests asked "that's quite harsh, she said she woke up from the wrong side of the bed."

The other male guest scoffed.

"Sure," he said sarcastically "she comes for the first time to live with her family and suddenly she has bruises? We've seen that history with other heiresses before, haven't we?"

The host laughed.

"Now, now…" he said smiling widely at the camera "why don't we stop being so harsh with the Kuchikis? They must be going through a lot, after all the young daughter just came back and with a boyfriend? Kuchiki Byakuya might lose his composure over something at some point."

"Nii-sama would never hit me!" Rukia screeched while pulling her own hair "who are these people?"

Riruka was rubbing her temple while muttering obscenities.

"But what I wonder is…" the host continued "why would the family hide her? Didn't they miss her? How was Kuchiki Hisana able to stay away from her child for so long? That's quite heartless."

Ellen, Rukia and Riruka's new enemy, laughed.

"The Kuchikis didn't build a fortune by being soft, did they?" she wondered "besides, everyone wondered who Hisana was when she was first seen holding Byakuya's hand. She had no past, no acquaintances, for a peasant like her a pregnancy would secure the Kuchiki heir for her, don't you think? They got married quite secretly after all."

"Marriages with a genie are sacred, you ignorant ogre!" Riruka yelled at the TV "and Hisana-san is the most powerful genie of this century! Not a peasant!"

"Kuchiki Ginrei must've been quite unhappy," the host said chuckling "I wonder if Soujun was the same? Do you think he raised her?"

"If he did…" one of the male guests said "he must've gotten tired of her and sent her here as soon as he got the chance!"

"Grandfather would never get tired of me!" Rukia groaned "if he sees this he'll destroy all of you!"

"I hope he does…" Riruka said pensively.

Ellen pouted mockingly.

"Hopefully the mysterious boyfriend is giving her all the love she does not have at home!" she said smirking meanly "if she has a boyfriend at all…"

Everyone at the talk show laughed and that was the limit for Rukia, angrily she raised her hand and pointed at the flat screen with her index finger.

"Hadō number four! Byakurai!" she yelled and in a second the TV was completely destroyed.

Riruka sighed.

"So, are we still going to destroy your enemies?" she asked.

Rukia nodded solemnly.

"Yes, we will" she swore.

Ishida Uryuu walked towards the office wondering if what he was about to do was illegal, would Kuchiki Byakuya fire him? Still, he just couldn't refuse after receiving Rukia's call last night, seriously, the girl was crazy but he had to give it to his boss, he really knew his sister, he implied how Rukia would be the one who would look for revenge on her own and he was not wrong. Uryuu didn't know whether to feel bad or at least some pity for Orihime. Looking at his phone and realizing how much the Kuchikis would have to endure thanks to the press in the next few days he got to the conclusion that he didn't give a damn.

Orihime deserved it.

"I was planning on enjoying the day somewhere else," Hisana complained while crossing her arms "why do you want to go to the office?" she asked.

Rukia shrugged.

"I just want to see Ichigo," she said "after that we'll spend the whole day celebrating."

Hisana frowned.

"Celebrating what?" she asked.

"That I'm with you two again!" Riruka said while putting an arm around Rukia's shoulders.

Hisana smiled kindly.

"Fine," she said "I guess we can…"

"Oh! But I need to see a friend first!" Rukia said interrupting her "I want to introduce her to Riruka!"

"Friend?" Hisana questioned.

Rukia nodded and smiled innocently. She felt terribly about lying to her sister but this was for the best, she had planned the whole thing with Riruka and after seeing how her family was now a hot topic at the gossip human shows and the internet she didn't have any doubts, she wanted payback. That's all that mattered to her.

Her brother and sister would finally understand.

Orihime Inoue was humming happily while preparing her lunch, it was going to be a quiet day at work, or at least that's what she thought. She imagined that after the Kuchikis became the hot topic of the day Rukia wouldn't dare to show up at the office. She smiled inwardly, now that everything was done she knew that Kuchiki Byakuya would be too busy dealing with the press than trying to find a culprit of her sister's situation, the one who leaked her identity to the press would be spared, she was sure.

Orihime jumped slightly when her doorbell rang.

"At this hour?" she wondered aloud as she walked towards her door and once she opened it her eyes widened.

"Hello, Inoue" Kuchiki Rukia greeted "I hope I'm not interrupting anything, I just remembered that you mentioned you had a sick mother and no electricity," she said smiling widely "I came to help you with that!"

Orihime gulped as she observed Rukia and the angry-looking pink haired girl that was behind her.

"Kuchiki-san…" she said nervously "this is not a good time, I was about to go to work and…"

"Oh! Don't worry, I'll talk with my brother!" Rukia said while trying to step into Inoue's apartment but the orange haired girl prevented her from stepping in.

"Seriously," Inoue insisted "this is not a good time."

Rukia frowned.

"Hey, bitch" Riruka said while glaring at Orihime "Hisana-san is waiting for us at the car, let us in, we won't ask again."

"I don't even know you!" Orihime told Riruka.

The pink haired girl smirked and before Orihime could react she pushed her inside the apartment and Rukia stepped inside after her.

"Hey!" Orihime said alarmed.

Rukia turned on the living room light and chuckled humorlessly as Riruka checked the whole apartment.

"No sick old ladies in sight!" Riruka informed Rukia "and the lights work just fine!"

"That's not a surprise," Rukia said through gritted teeth "my family's money is giving you quite the good life, uh?" she asked Orihime.

The orange haired girl gulped fearfully.

"You have five minutes to apologize," Rukia told her "otherwise I'll take drastic measures."

Orihime frowned as she pondered her options, she was not going to apologize to Kuchiki Rukia, not in a million years.

I bet you thought I had forgotten about genie Rukia, well I haven't!

I apologize, I wanted to write Byakuya and Hisana's side of the story but that drove me into a HUGE writing block, so I decided to leave it for later. As I told you before, I am not abandoning my stories so, if you're still reading this, I hope you liked this chapter.

I cannot wait to read your thoughts about this in case you're still around, kisses!

Pd. I apologize for my grammar mistakes.
