Okay, so it's kInDa BeEn A wHiLe? XD. Sorry 'bout that.
Guest: Thanks! Hahahaha. No.
MarellaIsTheBest: I think I answered over on Break the Rules.
Jem: Yeah, I think I've read those! Biana is totally the best. That's why she's my wife.
MarellaIsTheBest: I wrote this one first, lol. A lot of people do know who she is, but no one in the series really knows her all that well. The extent of the depth Shannon gave her was "Oh she likes fashion and makeup and beauty but she's kinda tough lol." ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CANON. Yes, multishipping is very, very, very nice.
breakinhearts: No problem! Biana is *swoons*. The others should totally get more attention, but especially Biana because I'm IN LOVE WITH HER. Thanks!
L: Thanks! Take on her character? Pfft, this is 100% canon.
BORING: Sotam. On request from writinficsandbreakinhearts for Sophie and Tam telling their kids about how they got engaged. I took some artistic liscense, this is how they started dating, but I hope it's good enough! Enjoy!
Lying in her bed, Aster grinned up at Tam. Her smile, wide with the two front teeth missing, and her brown eyes- just like her mother's- alight with joy, was nearly enough to melt Tam's cold, dead heart. Daddy, can you tell me how you and Mommy fell in love?
Sophie draped the covers over her daughter and swept a lock of hair out of her face, the one Tam still found breathtakingly beautiful after all those years. I thought love was gross?
It is! Aster said, smiling wider. It's also super boring, so it'll help me fall asleep!
Tam laughed. Well. Whatever works. Would you like to start out, love?
I would, said Sophie, nodding. She swept the strand of hair behind her ear again- it had fallen loose. When I was a teenager, about fifteen or sixteen, I was in love with two different boys- Uncle Hunkyhair and Uncle Wonderboy.
I thought his name was Uncle Funkyhair? Aster asked, brow furrowed. Sophie glared at Tam, and he sheepishly tugged at his bangs.
What?
Sophie sighed and rolled her beautiful brown eyes. But Uncle Hunkyhair and Wonderboy ended up marrying each other, and not me. At the same time, your dad liked a girl named Biana, but she liked Aunt Linh instead. I decided I loved Uncle Hunkyhair more than Wonderboy, but he didn't love me in a kissing way anymore.
And if there's one thing everyone should know about your mother, said Tam, putting his arm around his wife, she doesn't admit defeat easily.
Yeah, Aster pouted. She always convinces me to clean up my toys, even when I don't want to.
Well, someone has to convince you! Especially since your father would probably let you get away with it. Sophie jokingly glared at Tam.
She has good puppy dog eyes! Tam exclaimed as his defense.
Sophie gave him an odd look. Since when do you like puppies? Tam shrugged.
Keep telling the story! interrupted Aster.
Tam nodded and continued. Since your mom was so determined to make Uncle Hunkyhair like her, and I wanted Aunt Biana to like me, we decided to work together to make both our dreams come true. We made a plan to pretend date each other, and our respective crushes would realize they were jealous and really in love with us. Of course, that didn't work out so well. But over time, we came to realize that we loved each other now and not Uncle Hunkyhair and Aunt Biana.
At one of our Foxfire dances, said Sophie, taking over the story, when I was eighteen and your dad was nineteen-
-So, like, a million years ago? Aster joked.
Tam shook his head. No, just a couple thousand.
Really?
No, said Sophie. We're still pretty young!
I find that hard to believe.
Well, it's the truth, said Tam. Now let your mother finish the story.
Fine.
Thank you, Sophie said. Now, at the dance, during a slow, romantic song where I must have tripped at least five times and stepped on your dad's feet a dozen more, he asked me whether I wanted to be his real girlfriend. I said yes, and we lived happily ever after.
Sophie and Tam shared a long look. Her eyes never failed to amaze him- chocolate brown, with flecks of gold shining in the light. He could stare into them for hours and not get bored, but his eyes drifted down to her rosebud lips, red from a makeover of Biana's and curled into the hint of a smile. Tam longed to kissed them, and did just that, forgetting that anything in the world existed except for his wife, his amazing wife. How had he gotten so lucky as to marry Sophie Foster? He could barely believed he'd once loved Biana instead of her. She was perfect.
Finally, after a kiss that blew Tam's mind like always, they separated out of a need for air. Sophie fixed her messed up golden curls, the ones Tam had just run his hands through, before glancing over at their daughter. She was fast asleep, holding Ella and snoring lightly. Tam followed his wife out of the room in a tiptoe, careful not to wake up Aster.
I guess we were boring enough to make her fall asleep, Sophie joked, once they were safely out of range.
Tam shook his head. Loving you is never boring, Sophie Foster.
I don't even ship Sotam and this is probably OOC but wHaTeVeR. I'm not sure what I was doing with the italicized dialogue format but I weirdly? Kind of? Like it?
Anyway, I'm not writing for KOTLC as much, and I'm busy with school (bleh) so I'm not taking any requests for oneshots. I'll continue trying to work on some of the ones I already have, though.
Please review!
