CAP: 6

"Identity"

The sun illuminated a new day in the valley of peace. Mei got up slowly from her bed, she continued with her head full of doubts and uncertainties because she did not know anything about what had happened so many years ago and she also had no idea of the direction that her training was taking. .

She sat up determined to ask Po directly and walked to the kitchen only to find the panda sitting there with his eyes closed, as if in meditation.

- "Master I ..." - Po interrupted her raising his hand towards her, he opened her eyes and spoke to her.

- "I know what you're going to say, I was thinking all day and night yesterday" -Po made a sign with her arm for the feline to take a seat. - "After seeing your performance yesterday I decided to take your training seriously" - the feline wagged her tail from one side to the other, it seemed that at last things were going to start moving. - "That's why, when you finish having breakfast, I'll show you a very important place." With that, Po took a sip of he's tea.

When they both finished, the panda guided the feline to a place far from the palace, to an area that was on the edge of a forest.

Air filled the lungs of Mei Ling, who for some reason found herself strange. There was something in that grass, in those split and cracked trees, in the forest, she wanted to run, jump, hit and release her energy. She seemed to have some kind of link to that place.

Po watched her out of the corner of his eye and smiled.

- "What is inherited is not stolen" -Po said as he sat on the floor and crossed he's legs.

- "What do you mean?" - Asked Mei confused as she walked to the edge of the forest and analyzed the trees.

- "Your mother, master Tigress, used to train here" - Po revealed

Mei Ling was surprised when she saw the markings on some of those trees.

- "So mom ..." -

- "Yes" -she was interrupted- "For many years of her life this place was her sanctuary" -

Mei was amazed, she felt that she was progressing.

- "Tell me Mei, what do you really want?" -

Her question took him by surprise.

-"What do you mean?"-

- "Why did you come this far by yourself? What do you hope to achieve?" -

- "It is obvious, to become stronger" -she replied without thinking

Po opened his eyes and focused his gaze on her.

- "If only that is what you want, you should have stayed with your mother, she and your father are much more than capable of teaching you to strengthen yourself" -

- "It's just ... I don't know, they didn't teach me anything new, I just want to fight better" -

Po shook his head - "Kung fu isn't about that" -

- "What does Kung fu have to do with me?" -

- "I don't know Mei, what does that have to do with it?" -

- "You want to make me angry" -

- "Ah, so you know what I want ... but what do you want?" -

- "I already told you what I want ..." -

- "No, you just gave me a couple of empty answers" -

- "What do you know master? Nothing!" - Mei raised her voice.

- "If I don't know anything then why did you look for me?" -

-"I..."-

-"Yes?"-

-"I..."-

-"AHA?"-

- "I don't know what I want" - Mei Ling said looking at the ground.

Po watched carefully.

- "Kung fu is all I know, everything they taught me, for years I tried not to disappoint the expectations of mom and dad, trying to fulfill what they wanted. And one day I thought ... what do I want? To my misfortune the answer did not come, finding out things about mom I discovered that she used to know the great dragon warrior, you master, and I thought that perhaps the greatest figure in the world of kung fu, the only world I know, could offer me the answers I want ... "-

Po walked over to her and put her hand on the feline's shoulder, who looked up. The panda smiled calmly at him and spoke - "Only you can find those answers, but I will try to be your beacon in this moment of darkness" -

Mei felt those words resonate within her.
