She had a feeling he was being honest. Hell, everybody knew Inuyasha's relationship with Kikyo hadn't been anything serious, and she didn't really care about his past. Still, Kagome was a bit hesitant. What did SHE mean to him?

- Look, Inuyasha, I… I'll be fine, ok? I have a lot of things on my mind, and I don't want to jeopardize our friendship. So just…

- Okay, if you need some time then sure. But please, Kagome, talk to me whenever you're ready.

He slowly closed the space between them, giving her time to back out if she wanted. When she showed no intention of moving, he grabbed her hand and pulled her closer, softly kissing her cheek.

- I need you in my life, alright? – his voice was low, almost a whisper. She could only nod, before turning around to leave.

A.N. Thanks so much for the couple of reviews on the previous chapter (they mean a lot!) and for reading me. I'll try publishing a few chapters these days before I go missing the next couple of weeks. I'll be going back to my country after almost two years, so I'll probably be spending a lot of time seeing people and eating a tonshit of mexican food :D
