The mansion became a frenzy when the party returned with an extra inhabitant and four cars full of shit Sophie-Anne said she couldn't live without. Talbot silently fumed as he watched the gorilla's carry in bird cages, suitcases, furniture and whatever else Sophie-Anne was able to shove in with her.
Aurea entered the home, smiling sadly at Talbot as she took a seat on the bench seat in the foyer, watching Talbot's calm begin to fray. Russell walked in some time later with Eric, humor passing between the two before Eric disappeared into a separate room, quickly passing a glance towards her.
Aurea was exhausted. She was too tired to get up and follow him, though she should. It could be the only time they had to talk or stick their tongues down each other's throats. But she was still mad at him, sort of. She leaned back against the bench and crossed her legs, watching Russell try and calm Talbot as Sophie-Anne screeched from above.
"You never said she was going to live with us!"
"She's my wife, Talbot! We just acquired Louisiana, I figured you'd be excited!" smiled Russell.
"Excited?! Franklin's brains won't wash out of the linens, I had to have werewolves buried under the gazebo and that Sookie bitch staked Lorena!" raged Talbot.
Aurea raised an impressed eyebrow. She had to give it to Sookie, Lorena was a mess and a pain in the ass. Good riddance to that crack pot. And hearing Tara staked Franklin made her swell up with joy. Tara was always a tough bitch. The house surely had its drama while they had been away.
Aurea caught sight of Eric as he stopped himself from entering the foyer when he saw Russell soothing Talbot. It was obvious Talbot was not happy about anything right now, and Eric began to see a small glimmer of a plan. His eyes then caught sight of Aurea, seated on the foyer bench looking as beautiful as ever, even if she had that slightly pissed off look still on her face. He sent her a wink before looking back towards the glowering couple.
"Things are going to be getting complicated soon." whined Russell. "I'm afraid I acted somewhat implusively while I was away."
"What did you do?" asked Talbot, fearing the answer when Russell hesitated. "Spit it out."
"He killed the Magister." piped Aurea, drawing her finger across her neck and feeling somewhat jovial at Russell's sudden glare from over his shoulder. "Beheaded."
"Yes, thank you, my dear." snarled Russell, earning a small smile from Aurea. "Leave us."
"Are you out of your fucking mind?" screamed Talbot. "The authority will never stand-"
"Fuck the authority!"
Aurea rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath as she walked across the foyer to where Eric was hiding.
"He sounds like a fucking broken record." she whispered.
"Would be wise to not poke the bull, lover." whispered Eric, still watching the two spat.
"Should listen to your own advice." she snarled, looking back at him. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me about Pam."
"I said not now." growled Eric, looking back at her with order. "She's safe now and the only thing left for us to do is finish what we've been working towards our entire life. Now be quiet and let me think!"
She stepped back as he snarled at her, his anger misplaced if the look she gave him was anything to go by. She crossed her arms in annoyance and with a slight huff turned away from him, leaning against the dining table. Eric watched her before looking back towards Russell and Talbot, finding the perfect opportinuty to but in.
"Excuse me for interrupting, your majesty. There's a were-bitch in your study." responded Eric, catching Aurea's attention.
Talbot, having enough of Russell's slights shooed him away, running off to take care of Sophie-Anne, bless his heart. Aurea didn't want to see or hear that bitch ever again. Nails on a chalk board. Russell motioned for Aurea to join him as she followed him to his study, the skanky, foul smelling were-bitch in tears. Aurea had had enough drama for one day as she plopped herself down into one of the chairs.
"What's wrong, pumpkin?" asked Russell.
"They killed my Cooter." she cried.
Aurea snorted before quickly covering her mouth to prevent any additional drama from unfolding. Cooter, what the fuck kind of names did the south bore? She felt Eric's fingers graze across her shoulders as he came to stand next to the fireplace.
"I'll rip their fucking heads off!"
"Good grief." mumbled Aurea.
"What do you think Northman?" asked Russell, turning everyones attention to the tall drink of water by the fireplace.
They were both aware of the colossal shit storm Sookie had rained down on this house while they were away. She was so good at that. And they both knew shit like that never went unpunished, especially given who they inflicted the shit storm on.
"I do love a good head ripping, but I would advise caution and give careful consideration to the heads in question." offered Eric.
"The Stackhouse girl? She is something isn't she?" mentioned Russell.
"She fucked my ex-boyfriend and made him shoot my fiancé." whined Debbie. "She's a cunt."
"I think you just have terrible taste in men." replied Aurea.
"What the fuck did you say?"
"Aurea my dear, please." sighed Russell before motioning Debbie to leave. "Go on."
They waited till Debbie left before Russell turned his eyes back to Aurea, calculation but humor being thrown her way.
"Must you provoke her?"
"It's just too damn easy." smiled Aurea. "Not much else to do around here other than listen to Talbot reminisce about the same foyer tapestry for the 12th time."
Russell chuckeled as Eric stepped forward, catching both attentions.
"Respectfully, your majesty, I don't think it wise to bring Sookie into this mess." he said, catching and feeling the heat wave of annoyance on his back.
"That's precisely why I need her. I may have inadvertenly started a war tonight." replied Russell. "Ms. Stackhouse may be my secret weapon."
"Sookie's abilities are unpredictable at best." countered Eric. "And even so, is that not why you have Aurea by your side? For moments like this?"
Aurea could peel her jaw off the floor and roll it back up with what Eric just said. Was he really selling her out, keeping Russell's focus on her instead of fucking Sookie? Wasn't the whole role here to try and get her back, out of this fucking nightmare? She saw red.
"Excuse me, Mr. Northman but I am more than some fucking tool here." she fumed.
"And I do not doubt that, especially given how beautiful you look when in action." he winked at her.
Fucking winked.
Russell seemed to be enjoying the play between the two of them which seemed to work in Eric's favor. Eric let his gaze linger a little longer for dramatic effect before turning back to Russell, who quickly made his way to Eric's front.
"The question is, can I trust you?" he asked, sizing up Eric. "You turned from your queen and released your feisty little ward and can't help but feel a strong hard on for my little pet over there. How do I know you won't sell me out as well?"
Aurea was happy she didn't need to breathe because it was moments like this where she would have. The tension was building, Russell seemed to be on to him and possibly the relationship between the two of them. Aurea stood still on her feet, watching the silent exchange between both men.
"Because I have been searching for you for a thousand years." replied Eric, causing Aurea to feel her stomach plummet to the ground.
Was this it?
Was this the moment Eric decided to snap and take revenge? Lord she hoped not. Would be the stupidest thing he could do with all the nutcases in the house at the current moment. But when he lowered himself to his knee, declaring Russell a true leader, she felt the wind rush out of her sails. She was so over this tornado of a day.
Eric vomited his loyalty, his happiness, his excitement of being able to follow someone like Russell. He even threw Godric under the bus just to make his point across. Aurea placed a hand to her stomach as she watched Eric refute everything he had vehemently believed about Godric just for the sake of placating and winning over Russell. It made her sick.
"I must say Mr. Northman, you certainly could charm the pants off a magician if you so looked at them in the right way." smiled Russell, stepping back and leaning against his desk.
Eric stood to his feet and felt Aurea shift behind him as the room fell silent, nothing but the soft cracks of the fire filling the space. Russell smiled at the two of them before nodding his head.
"It has been quite the day and I fear it's only going to continue. Let us rest this day, and start fresh tomorrow." said Russell, standing to his feet.
Aurea glanced between the two before turning to head to her room. Her feet stilled when Eric's voice broke the silence.
"I do have one additional favor to ask of you, your majesty." replied Eric, looking back at Aurea. "Alone."
Aurea furrowed her brow before looking to Russell, seeing him nod his head in agreement. She locked eyes with Eric once more before she shuffled out of the room, closing the door behind her. She settled herself on the bench right outside instead of heading to her room. Usually she would have split as soon as Russell let her go but since Eric was living under the roof, she found herself staying as close as she could without suspicion.
She closed her eyes and cleared her mind, trying to force her way into the room to listen to what was being discussed. She heard nothing. No voices, movement or anything, just slight whispers that were too soft to hear. She went to stand but the study door opened and Eric walked out, his eyes settling on Aurea before walking towards the stairs and out of her sight.
"Come in, my little creampuff."
Aurea stood and wiped her hands down her dress, a dress that had seen better days. She fiddled with her hands before stepping inside, closing the door behind her. Russell stood by the fire, his eyes reflecting the intensity of the heat before looking over to her.
"Mr. Northman has expressed an interest in you my dear."
"Wh—um…what?" she asked, thrown back by the statement.
"Oh now, don't be so shy." laughed Russell. "I've seen the way he looks at you. Like the first time I saw Talbot. Oh, gives me goosebumps!"
"What…what did he say?" she asked, trying not to sound too excited and frightened at the same time.
"He, very politely may I add, asked to spend the night with you."
Aurea choked on absent breath as Russell giggled like a school girl. The confusion on her face was thankfully not an act and Russell was none the wiser. What the fuck was Eric up to?
"And…I'm sorry." she laughed. "What am I supposed to do?"
"I will tell you, my dear." said Russell, walking over and holding her hands. "You are to go to his rooms, and spend the night with him. Just as he asked."
"What?" asked Aurea, incredulously.
"Oh come now. I know I haven't been the best King to you and have quite a few times denied you things that you wanted, never let you have fun. But my dear, I feel this is your opportunity."
"You're whoring me out, is what you're doing." stated Aurea.
"Partially, only because he is someone I need on my side and if this is what he asks to stay loyal to me, I don't see the harm." smiled Russell. "Besides, I've seen the way you look at him too. I'm gay, not blind."
Aurea wanted nothing more than to spend every waking moment with Eric till the sun came up, but the timing and the way it was done threw her for such a loop that she had no idea what to do with herself. She felt slightly offended if she was being honest. She wasn't sure why, Russell was giving her an open opportunity to fuck her husband, and she didn't want it.
'I've officially lost it.'
"Now my dear, I'm not taking no for an answer. Understood?" stated Russell, standing tall and pushing her towards the door. "You do whatever he wants because remember, this is about us and our survival! And to have a little fun as well. Make me proud."
She watched Russell smirk at her before pushing her out of his study, closing the door behind him. She stood there frozen for a few minutes. Not entirely sure what the fuck had just happened. In a daze she made her way up the stairs, her body feeling frozen at what was happening. Russell was whoring her out to continue to gain favor to keep Eric on his side, she was nervous as fuck and wasn't too thrilled with spending the night with her husband, and lastly, what level of planet bullshit had she landed on.
She was so caught up in her thoughts and the ache in her feet that she didn't notice the door to her right open and an arm reach out and grab her, hauling her into the room and against the wall as the door slammed shut behind them.
His lips were the only thing she registered as the familiar shape, feel and desire they pulled from her shocked her brain into the present. The longing feeling of him washed over her and through her like the waves on the beach when she was 16, and almost drowned. Her hands made their way to his chest before two bolts of energy flew through her palms and landed Eric against the opposite end of the room.
"Kinky." smiled Eric, fangs distended from pleasure.
"What the actual fuck, are you doing?" she whispered.
"I though being a clever mastermind in order to be able to fuck my wife who left me to 'find herself'." He finished with air quotes.
"Oh, so you're being sarcastic now." she said, removing her shoes and throwing them at him. "You could have killed us both!"
"Russell is easy to read and easy to persuade. One or two flirty words of encouragement and he's in my pocket, letting me do whatever and whomever the fuck I want." he said, walking slowly over to her. "Now I thought you'd be happy we could have some alone time."
"At what fucking cost?" she asked. "How do we know this won't blow up in our face?"
"If I didn't know you better, I'd say you were avoiding having sex with me." he said, his eyes boring down into hers as he stepped closer. "What is this really about?"
"What I just fucking said. You even mentioned we were so close to getting what we want and you go ahead and pull a stunt like this? Not knowing if it would blow up in your face! Russell hasn't given me anything since I've been here, nothing. You show up and he's suddenly on cloud nine about whoring me off to you. That doesn't strike you as a bit strange?" she fumed.
"Not at all, especially when he brought it up."
"What?" she asked, more confusion pouring through her.
"I had asked a simple question, and it was Russell who offered for me to have you." he replied, pushing a curl behind her ear before running his hand down her jaw. "I didn't hesitate, and I refuse to hesitate anymore. Now I want you, naked, on this bed, while I ravage you."
Aurea felt her knees buckle like they always did when he took control. Nothing could ever change that, no matter how pissed off she was, he could make her fall over the edge with just his words.
She suddenly felt nauseous and disgusting. She hadn't showered since yesterday, had been in filth for the better part of the night and was sure she had blood in her hair. She was also nervous. Last she had seen Eric, it hadn't been the best situation, and she had started to doubt herself if he still wanted her like he though he did.
"Don't." he warned, seeing her turn in on herself.
"Why?" she began to cry. "Why do you still want me?"
She felt tears fall from her eyes as they stained the white dress and the floor below her. She hid her face behind her hands as Eric wrapped her up into his arms, rocking her back and forth and he buried his nose in her hair.
"I'm sorry." she cried. "I've ruined everything."
"No." he said, pulling her face into his hands and catching her eye. "I wouldn't waste my time on this if it was ruined."
"I should have never left." she cried, wrapping herself around him once more.
"No, you shouldn't have."
Aurea pulled away and punched him in the chest before Eric leaned down and captured her lips against his. Her mouth opened automatically and their tongues entwined in a dance that had been missed. He pushed her body against his and into the wall, his body trying to meld with hers. Her arms were locked around his neck as he lifted her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. He pulled back slightly and locked eyes with her.
"Everything that's happened, everything we've said, is over. It will always be you and me. Understand?" he whispered, resting his forehead against hers. "No more tears, no more regret. It's behind us."
"Me and you." she whispered, running her hands along his jaw. "I love you."
"Will you let me make love to you now?" he whispered, running his lips against her neck.
"Please." she whimpered when his lips met that certain spot he knew passionately.
Eric lifted her away from the wall and into the bathroom. He sat her on the counter and turned the water to scalding before floating back between her legs and capturing her lips in his. Hands were everywhere as clothes were ripped and torn, no care to preserving them any longer.
Eric set her on the floor and led her into the shower. Her back was against the wall before she could blink and Eric molded against her, his hands running along her sides before resting on each side of her head. He met her eyes with a smirk before he dropped to his knees. He took one of her legs and hung it over his shoulder as his lips and tongue when to a place he had missed most dearly.
Aurea's head fell back against the marble of the shower with a thud as Eric's tongue tasted her for the first time since she had left, and it was the best homecoming she could think of. Her body was on fire as Eric brought her close to a feeling she had longed for for what felt like an eternity, but just before she could revel in euphoria, he pulled away eliciting a small whimper from Aurea.
"You don't think I'd have you over the edge so quickly did you?" he said, standing to his full height before capturing her lips once more.
He pulled away and washed away the blood in her hair before quickly washing her body, taking joy in every single inch of skin he had been denied. Once the steam melted their skin, Eric shut the water off and carried her to the bed, dropping her unceremoniously onto the covers.
"Such a gentleman." she laughed.
"Not tonight." he growled, crawling over her until he sat between her legs.
She could have came then and it wouldn't have mattered because this man did things to her she could only dream of in another life. Their lips crashed together before he finally ended their agony and entered her, long and slow. She groaned deeply in her throat at the feel of him, her nails digging into his shoulders as she pulled him closer to her. Slowly and deliciously he fucked her, his dead heart feeling full as she wrapped herself around him.
"Enough." she whimpered. "Fuck….me."
Eric grinned evily as he crashed his lips to hers, slowly picking up his pace, his thrusts harder and deeper without any care. It had been too long and they needed that connection. He was almost undone and all it would take would be one look from her, but she needed more. He wanted her with him. His tongue darted along her neck as his fangs nipped her skin. He heard her whimper and knew it was what she needed for her to fall over the edge. With one final thrust his fangs sank into her neck.
Everything around her exploded. Her vision went black, her hearing went silent, and her entire body felt like it was on fire, electricity burning through her skin.
It took a few minutes for her faculties to come back and notice Eric slowly kissing every inch of her. She closed her eyes, relishing in the familiar lips as they laid claim to what they owned. It wasn't long before she began to feel the familiar tug. She grabbed Eric by the neck and threw him onto the bed. She climbed onto his hips and leaned down. Eric went to meet her lips but she denied him, that familiar smirk finding its way to her face.
"You belong to me."
"Yes ma'am." he smirked.
Much of the day was not used for sleep and once or twice they called for refreshments to replenish their stamina. It wasn't long before sunset Aurea found herself falling victim to sleep. She had no control over the exhaustion she had before and after her time with Eric. She was sunk into the pillows of what used to look like a bed, the sheet laying ghostly over her hips as her back lay open to his fingertips.
He had found her and he would meet the true death before he lost her again. He set a soft kiss to her shoulder before brushing away the beautiful lavender hair that he missed so much, his voice only a slight whisper in the air:
"I love you."
Sorry Sorry Sorry for the long delay in posting. I'm not too thrilled with this chapter, mostly filler. Enjoy!
