DevilishPixelation1006: I'm not going to say anything except for the fact that I started grinning like a maniac when I read your review.

Last chapter, I said that 2021 is going to suck. I just now realized that the Snyder Cut, the new Among Us map, FNAF Security Breach, Black Widow, the new Batman movie and I think Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 are all coming out this year. Maybe it won't be so bad after all. Also, some language in this chapter. Why am I giving a warning? Because it's not going to be censored this time.

Song of the Chapter: There He Is by Hans Zimmer

I own nothing but the story.

Spider-Man was pissed.

It seemed that someone had seen him accidentally break the window at Stark Tower and the public now believes him to have broken into Stark Tower like a criminal.

Okay, technically, he broke and entered, but it was an accident. It seemed like few people actually believed he was a hero anymore, and instead screamed and ran when they saw him.

He was on his way to school and saw a car chase happening. He jumped onto the car of the criminals, and punched a hole in the roof of the car. Then he made the opening larger. The thugs looked shocked to see him, but quickly pulled their guns. Suddenly, he felt something hit him in his arm from behind. He looked back and saw that one of the cops had their gun drawn as well. They shot again and hit him in the left thigh. He suddenly lost his grip on the car, and flew onto the sidewalk. He got back up as the symbiote helped him heal faster, and jumped onto the police car.

"In case you idiots haven't noticed," he said, looking at the police from the other side of their window, "I'm trying to help you. SO DON'T SHOOT AT ME!"

He shot a web at the back left tire of the thugs' car, and it stopped in its tracks, turning and hitting a lamppost. The criminals sat in their car, dazed, but Spidey jumped on the roof of the ruined car and reached into it. "Hey, guys!"

He threw the one in the driver's seat at a building, shooting some webs that stuck him to the wall. He picked up the one in shotgun and threw him on the sidewalk, webbing him in place.

"Whoa!" said someone behind him. He turned around and saw Eddie with his camera. "That was amazing, Spider-Man, can you - can you stand still?" Spidey shot a web at Eddie's camera and threw it against the wall, shattering it to pieces. He walked up to Eddie and said "You tell that no-good, lying little shitbag Jameson that I don't appreciate him saying what he's been saying about me."

"What the fuck, man?!" Eddie said angrily. Spider-Man shot a web and swung off, but he could hear Eddie bring out his phone to take pictures.

Spider-Man jumped down into his alley and the symbiote changed into normal clothes. He walked out and into the school. He entered the school and saw Ned. "Hey, man," he said.

"Hey, um, you haven't been letting what the Bugle says get to you, right?" Ned asked.

Peter smirked. "No, why?"

Ned pulled out his phone. "Well, what you did this morning is trending everywhere right now, and it seemed a bit extreme."

Peter groaned. "Listen, I just don't appreciate what they've been saying about me."

"That's kind of what I meant when I asked if you were letting it get to you."

Peter didn't respond to that, and Ned said "Listen, how about after school, we can build that new Mos Eisley. I just got it, and it'd be cool to - "

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Busy."

"With what?"

Peter groaned again. "Ned, do I really have to explain every facet of my life to you?" Ned looked a bit surprised by that and said "No, no you don't."

"Then stop asking me."

They walked to class, where they saw MJ and Eddie already there. "Hey," Eddie said, a bit grumpy.

"Are you alright?" Ned asked him. Eddie shook his head. "I think Spider-Man's upset with how the Bugle's making him out to be some sort of menace."

"I wonder why," Peter said sarcastically. Eddie glared at him and said "Look, I just wanted to have a job and make some money. And it's not like I choose the headlines, I just take pictures."

"You could stop taking them."

"I can't stop taking them, I - " he stopped right there and didn't continue.

There were a couple moments of silence before MJ said "So, um, Peter, did you change your hair?"

Peter shook his head. "No, why?"

She pointed to it with her pencil. "Oh, it's just a sort of a dark brown today."

Peter looked at his reflection in the window behind him and saw that she was right. Instead of light brown, it had changed to dark brown. "Huh," he said, "that's weird."

The day went by fast. It was a Friday, and Peter was itching to get back outside and swing around. He ran outside, and suddenly felt a leg trip him. He looked up and saw that Flash was standing above him, laughing as usual. "How do you always fall for that?" he said, laughing loudly. Peter shoved Flash and said "How about you just don't do it. That'd be pretty nice."

"Oooo, look who's suddenly developed a backbone!" Flash said, going to push Peter, who grabbed his hands and threw them away. He grabbed the collar of Flash's shirt, lifting him up a bit, and said "I've developed a lot more than a backbone."

That seemed to frighten Flash, and Peter dropped him.

"Are you okay?" said a voice as he walked away from Flash. It was MJ. He smiled and said "Yeah, why?"

"You just intimidated Flash. That's not really something you do."

"Intimidated? That's a bit of a strong word, don't you think?"

"It's literally what you just did."

"Listen, Flash is an asshole. I think he deserved it."

"There are other ways for him to receive his comeuppance. I don't think what you did is the way he should."

"I put him in his place. Is that really a problem?"

"Yeah," she said, "it actually is."

He didn't respond, and she put her hand to the side of his face. "Is that symbiote affecting you in a bad way?"

"No," he said quickly. "I'm fine. And I've gotta go.''

She nodded. "Right, the whole Spider-Man thing."

He nodded and ran into an alley. His clothes changed to his suit and he started his usual crime fighting routine. It was very uneventful, and people's reaction to him swinging near didn't help his attitude. Very few people were happy to see him anymore.

He decided that the people of New York were being good that day, apart from the car chase, and swung over to the tower.

"Hey, kid," Mr. Stark said when he saw him. "How was your day?"

His suit changed back to normal clothes and he sighed. "I've had better."

Mr. Stark frowned. "What's up?"

Peter went over to the table to help Mr. Stark. "It seems like almost everyone in the whole city is afraid of Spider-Man. Even the police shot at me."

"What? Are you okay?"

Peter nodded. "Yeah, the suit helped me heal."

Mr. Stark nodded. "That's good. But if I'm being honest, throwing someone's camera at the wall and cussing at them isn't really going to make things better."

Peter sighed. "Maybe not, but I don't really appreciate Jameson turning pretty much the entire city against me."

Mr. Stark was silent before saying. "Here, next week is a compound week. Ask if you can come early. As long as you get your aunt's permission first, of course."

Peter nodded. An early week at the compound could probably lift his spirits. He helped out Mr. Stark a bit more before going home to ask May if he could stay at the compound. She said yes, and he packed up his bag and made his way over to the compound. He slingshot himself to the compound and landed at the front. He changed the suit back to his normal clothes and let FRIDAY scan him at the door. He walked in and saw everyone hanging out in the living room.

"Peter!" Mr. Stark said, raising his arms. "Good to see you! Your room is still in the same place, and, uh, yeah. You can go and set up in there."

Peter nodded and went to his room. He set down his bag and laid down on his bed. It was a long day.
