Bastion and Ruby were more than a little caught off guard by the ambush, but once they understood what was happening, they sprung to action.

Surrounding them was a group of about a dozen and a half Elves. Of all the pokegirls to be ambushed by, Basiton was not expecting Elves.

Elf, the mystic forest pokegirl. These pokegirls are commonly found guarding in and around the woods. They're one of the only pokegirl species that are allowed to own homes, live in towns, and be treated as a normal human even when uncaught and feral, as they naturally retain most of their mind. Aside from their bows, Elves channel magic attacks through nature.

"Apologies ladies," Bastion said, his hands up to show he meant no harm, "Did we wander into your territory by mistake? Sorry if we did, we didn't see any signs or guards. We're just on our way to Celadon city."

"Sorry pretty boy," one of the Elves, the leader of this group going by her size and seeming magical aura, said as she trailed her bow on Bastion, "You aren't heading anywhere."

"Seems we've got some bad apples," Ruby said, "Afraid words won't do much good here."

"So you've got some brains on ya. Won't do you much good though." The leader said with a laugh, "On my mark girls."

Bastion and Ruby moved fast, respectively letting out Aiko and Chiara, and Cora and Lela before the Elves let loose their arrow barrage.

Bastion's pokegirls blew away the arrows coming for their tamer with water and first while Cora and Lela used their blades to block and destroy the ones that came Ruby's way.

"Think you can get enough chemical into the air to affect them all?" Bastion asked Ruby.

"If I build it up, but I'll need time." Bastion nodded, letting out Amia while Ruby let out Ray and Natalie.

The leader Elf, who Bastion recognized now to be a High Elf, cursed as she ordered the others to take them down.

High Elf, the warrior Elf pokegirl. This evolution of the Elf, triggered by diligent training and battling, are often found in the Elf Courts that litter the forests of the world. They act as the higher ranking soldier, defending the Elf Courts and being sent with small groups of Elves to investigate issues in the forest.

She was the target, Bastion was sure of that. The Elves would battle until conscious or dead unless she gave the order to halt; and she was likely the only one who knew why they were being attacked in the first place.

"Defend Ruby," Bastion ordered for the pokegirls while he himself rushed forward.

Arrows blew, magic bolts were fired, and even plantlife sprung up to swing at Bastion and the pokegirls.

Chiara's fire and Lena's fast bladework proved to be the most helpful for the moment, blocking and burning away any threats that got too close to the Nymph boy.

Aiko, being the highest in level, brought Ruby close to her body, defending him from behind with her shell and from the front with her watery blast attacks.

Amia countered the plant control of the Elves with control of her own while Cora, Natalie, and Ray used blade, claw, and fang to halt any of the Elves from moving in close.

However, as Bastion moved forward, using his agility, graceful movement and nimble body to bob and weave through attacks, he realized that only some of the focus remained on Ruby.

Most of the Elves, including the High Elf he was gunning for, kept their focus on Bastion as he moved away from the group.

Was he the true target of all this? Given his origin it wouldn't shock him, but for what reason and how they could have even known what he was he couldn't begin to assume.

He only got within ten feet of the High Elf before the vines and roots of the High Elf's plant control snared him, holding him in place as the High Elf approached with a smirk.

"Not the fastest job I've ever had, but still one of the easiest." She taunted as she knocked an arrow.

The arrow began to glow with magical and elemental energy as she leveled it at Bastion, aiming for his heart.

"Why are you doing this? What have we done to you?" He questioned, growing suddenly desperate at his vulnerable position.

She laughed, "Ain't about what you did. Sorry pretty boy, but orders are orders."

Bastion started to brace himself, then relaxed, a grin forming across his face as he sniffed the air.

His feline nose picked up on the chemical spreading through the air before the High Elf felt it; but its effects began taking hold before she could fire. He could see her grip on the bow starting to waver as she began to sweat.

"W..what in the the.." Was all she could manage as her body began to squirm. Ruby might not be as powerful as a Nymph's lust chemical, but he could certainly get damn close.

Around them, the Elves had all been afflicted, fidgeting from the growing beat within their body, only not descending into an orgy by the High Elf's orders. Bastion allowed his own lustful aura to the mix, focusing it all on the High Elf.

She only lasted a few seconds; which was admittedly longer than a human or standard Elf would have ever managed.

The arrow ceased its glowing as it dropped uselessly to the ground, the vines unbinding Bastion and setting to stripping him down as she pounced on the neko boy.

Seeing this broke the resolve of the other Elves, and what had moments before been a collection of assassins was reduced into a woodland orgy.

They'd be sure to question the cause... after some, ahem, interrogating.

"Curses!" She hissed, swiping everything off the table of stone with which she'd been planning. "Foolish.. foolish." She chided herself.

She should have known better than to trust a simple Elf Court to handle the demi-legendary. The boy may be a mockery, she thought, but he already have a team of eight; to say nothing of his human ally and their own team.

She would need more to put Bastits' mistake in its place, of this she was certain. She would need to put her faith in her own kind if she was to take care of this. Yes.. best she call in her own.

"You won't last long boy," She said, glaring at the image of Bastion her magic crystal depicted for her. "So enjoy you're little journey while you still can."
