Harry woke up with Minerva draped over him. Her hands fisted into his shirt and her face buried in his neck. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her nearer still. She shifted slightly in her sleep but didn't wake up.

A voice clearing their throat gained his attention. He looked towards the door and saw the resident healer with a smile on her face. "It's good to see your awake," she said softly. "How do you feel?"

"Like I have been hit by the knight bus," he answered honestly.

Poppy snorted in amusement. "That's what you deserve for taking on LeStrange and Riddle simultaneously. You have several more scars to add to your collection but with a few potions you will be right as rain."

"Was she upset when she woke to find me gone," Harry asked the healer. They had developed a friendship since his return to the castle and he considered her a dear friend. He had found her dry humor and no nonsense attitude endearing.

"More worried than anything," she answered her young friend. "Min has discovered how to use your bond to help you. She pushed all but 5 percent of her magic to you. I could only assume it was during your fight with Riddle and LeStrange."

"Bloody hell," he exclaimed. "Is Min and the baby okay?"

"They are both fine although Minerva is back to limited magic use," came the answer. "You both will need to practice using the bond with Helen or me nearby. Both of you fools would likely give all to the other. We need to find out how to control the timing and amount of energy you transfer to each other."

Harry nodded his head. "I promise Poppy. I would be devastated if something were to happen to either of them."

Poppy nodded her head in approval and left the couple to rest. Harry pressed a kiss to Minerva's forehead and drifted off to sleep.

"Damn it Minerva," Harold shouted as the Scottish witch sent a couple of fireballs his way. "Do you have to get so bloody close?"

The witch in question smirked at her dear friend. "I would apologize but I am not the least bit sorry," she taunted.

Harry and Hermione snorted in amusement at the two. They were currently in the Room of Requirement with a few key members of the Order and a few trusted Aurors. Moody had begged Minerva to demonstrate her abilities and improve morale. She had finally agreed to it but only if Harold were her opponent. She trusted him to watch the spells he threw. Her pregnant belly presented a large target!

Harold quickly cast 4 powerful spells at Minerva and was amazed she held them at bay with a protective barrier of flames. Suprise showed on every face including Minerva's. "How did you do that?" he demanded.

"I am unsure," she confessed.

"Try it again," Alastor hollered as he studied her hand movements amazed by her ever-growing abilities.

Harold sent another round of spells towards Minerva. Gasps sounded as Minerva seemingly produced the protective barrier of flames without lifting her wand. "You didn't use your wand," Harold said in wonder.

Minerva ignored his words and looked to Harry in suprise. Alastor saw the silent communication taking place between the two and quickly cleared the room of those unaware of Harry and Minerva's relationship. "What happened," Alastor boomed once the room was cleared. "How did you do that?"

"I felt Harry's overwhelming desire to protect the baby and me before I could lift my wand," Minerva answered. "I believe Harry caused the fire protection barrier."

"Harry," Harold said baffled. "How did you manage it?"

"No clue," Harry confessed. "I just needed to protect them."

"Send the spells again Harold," Minerva said as she put her wand in her sleeve holster.

Harold was suprised by the request but trusted her judgment. He watched as she centered herself and laid her hand in her mating mark. He quickly sent the stunning spells towards Minerva and watched as the barrier of fire protection surrounded her once again.

"How did he do it," Alastor growled out in curiosity.

Minerva held her hand up to silence him and closed her eyes. She used their bond to mentally follow Harry's magic signature as it receded. Suprise appeared on her face as she discovered just how Harry protected her. "Harry used our bond to manifest an invisible Phoenix patronus that swallowed the spells then it evolved into the protective barrier," she relayed. "Please cast your patronus Harry. I want to see if your patronus has changed forms."

Harry did as his wife requested. A magnificent bright stag burst out of his wand. It ran around the room once before finding no danger and disappeared out of sight. "It's the same form," Harold said suprised. "I thought his patronus form would be a Phoenix."

Minerva studied Harry for a minute or two before speaking. "Alastor would you please cast the same series of spells at Hermione?"

Confused by the request, Alastor grumbled a bit. A series of spells shot out of his wand towards an unarmed Hermione. Suddenly a blindingly bright Phoenix appeared in front of Hermione and swallowed the spells traveling towards Hermione. Once the spells were gone, the Phoenix trilled happily and disappeared from sight. "Two patronus forms," Alastor said amazed. "I have never heard of such. I have heard of changing patronus forms but never multiple ones."

"Leave it to Harry Potter to do the impossible yet again," Hermione said with a brilliant smile.

"Well done Harry," Harold said with pride showing on his face. "Now how do we get you casting both patronus forms at the same time?"

Minerva just snorted out in amusement as she saw the look on Harry's face. "Twill be alright love," her thick Scottish brogue teased. "I'm sure a couple of senior aurors and on/off Unspeakable/auror won't be too hard on you."

Laughter errupted throughout the room at Minerva's unexpected teasing. It doubled as Minerva pressed a kiss to Harry's lips and told him to "have fun" as she walked out of the room.
