The rocks began to break and no one knew why. Rapunzel had not yet been able to fulfill her destiny, as the Moonstone was taken by Cassandra four years ago. With the Moonstone gone, the black rocks had no reason to stay. But what did that mean for the Sundrop? That was a mystery she was about to find out.

"Are you sure you want to leave the castle?" Eugene asked.

"Yes, I need to go find Varian," Rapunzel said, "Just hang tight and watch the girls, OK?"

Alka and Bandit looked up at their father. Alka, the oldest was eight years old whereas Bandit was three years younger. But despite being 8 and 5, the sisters got along perfectly.

"Alright, girls. Let's play Chase!" Eugene said, "Your mother won't be long. She's just going to Old Corona."

Rapunzel walked through the remains of Old Corona, but found that she was going in circles. The black rocks, sensing her presence, grew in her way.

"I can't let you in, Rapunzel," said a voice, "Unless you've found a way that we can help my dad together."

Rapunzel was relieved. "Varian! Thank goodness I found you! I need to ask you something!"

Varian smiled. "Sure. What is it, Rapunzel?"

"Do you know anything about the Moonstone?" she asked.

"No, I'm sorry," Varian said, "But I'll keep looking for information."

"Uh, can I come with you?" Rapunzel asked.

"I-I don't know," he said, "I haven't really been the best friend you've always wanted after my father disappeared. And since you didn't help me, you're to blame!"

"Varian, I thought you changed!" Rapunzel said.

"I might have been sorry then, but it's been four damn years and I still can't find a way to save my father!" Varian shouted, crying, "I thought if I go after the Moonstone, I would finally have what I need!"

"You're just hurting!" Rapunzel cried, "Let me help you!"

"What the hell can you even do?" Varian shouted, "You ignored me during my time of need for your frickin' kingdom because that Corona comes first bullshit! I've had it, Rapunzel! Get the hell out of here! Now!"

"But I - - -," she said.

"Now!" Varian shouted, "Don't test my frickin' patience!"

Rapunzel left, running home in tears.

"Now that she's out of the way, I can grab the Moonstone and free my father!" Varian declared, "It's all I can frickin' do!"
