"What do you even need the Moonstone for anyway?" Cassandra asked.
Varian grumbled. "How many damn times do I have to tell you this? I'm frickin' desperate for anything to save my father!"
"Hmm, yeah. That sounds like a hell of a sob story," Cass said, "Here's your precious Moonstone."
Varian was overjoyed. He finally had it—the key to saving his father!
"Since we have no idea what this does, and I'm not so sure myself, there's no harm studying it, right?" Varian said.
"Knock yourself out," Cassandra said. She looked at Varian. "Say, you want a kiss?"
"I'm busy," Varian said, blushing.
"Sure you are," Cassandra said.
As Varian studied the Moonstone, trying to figure it out, Cassandra grabbed his belt.
"Cassandra, what are you doing?" Varian asked with a straight face, "If it's pantsing me for the hell of it, don't frickin' do it."
But Cass didn't listen, still keeping her grasp. Varian's belt began to loosen. "Cassandra, y-you can stop now!" he said, embarrassed, "Y-you're loosening my belt!"
Right at that moment, she pulled it out of the sockets. Varian blushed, reaching for his belt back.
"C'mon, Cass! Give it back! It's embarrassing enough having a girl see my underwear!" Varian cried desperately, still blushing with embarrassment.
But he didn't get it back. At that point, both red in the face of anger and embarrassment for something he had no idea why Cassandra wanted to see, he glared at her. "I know this is private property, but you're gonna damn well pay!"
Cassandra chuckled.
"You really think this is funny?" Varian said, "You just frickin' exposed my whole underwear! What the hell?"
"It's not like it hasn't shown before!" Cassandra said, blushing.
Blushing, Varian snatched his belt. "Only by accident!"
He then pulled up his pants and put his belt back on. Glaring icily at her, he said, "Never do that again!"
Cassandra smiled cheekily. "Only when you're ready for sex."
Varian's face turned red. "S-sex!? N-no!" he cried, "B-but then w-we've gotta get married... I-I really don't want to be exposed..."
"And neither do I," Cassandra said.
"You know I won't forgive you for this," Varian said, "But it was quite a treat that I wasn't expecting. Really embarrassing, but whatever. It's behind us now."
"Make up your mind. Are you going to forgive and forget or not?" Cassandra said.
"As much as dignity is important, it's not like it hasn't happened before when I was younger," Varian said with a laugh, "And damn, was I embarrassed! So yeah, it's behind us now."
"Good," she said, "Did you find anything out about the Moonstone?"
"Patience, my darling," Varian said, "Alchemy isn't magic. It takes time, dammit!"
"Then I'll wait," Cassandra said.
Not too far, Eugene had reached his birthplace—the Dark Kingdom. He entered the castle to try and find the Moonstone so that he could fulfill his destiny once and for all.
