Several months later, a beautiful baby girl was born.
"I know exactly what her name should be!" Varian said.
"If we're naming her after a famous alchemist, then no," said Cassandra.
"Well, shit," Varian said, "That idea's outta the way."
"I say we name her Alissan. Her name will be spelled with homage to both of our spellings," Cassandra said.
"Alissan the young alchemist," Varian said, "That has a nice ring to it."
"No, you idiot! Don't go teaching her alchemy!" Cassandra said.
"Why not? Alissan has my hair and eyes," Varian said.
Cassandra crossed her arms. "There's no getting past you, is there?"
"Nope!" Varian said, "And I guess your hot self is gonna have to live with me for the rest of your goddamn life."
"Damn straight," Cass said through gritted teeth.
"Is something wrong?" Varian asked.
"No, no. I'm fine," Cassandra said, "I just need some time to think."
"OK then. I guess I'll leave you to it," Varian said, cracking his knuckles, "Now to continue my work!"
