x"Batman, always good to see you. Gotta ask, though: Why have you brought a demon into my home?" Harry asked with absolutely no concern as he observed the black clad bat standing next to the demon in medieval clothing.

"This is Etrigan, he was merged with a man named Jason Blood. Jason Blood served under King Arthur but betrayed him. As punishment Merlin forced Etrigan on him until he had defeated his lover, Morgaine Le Fay."

"Arthur was my uncle and Merlin was my dad." Harry smiled. "Technically."

The Batman actually paused to process that statement. He eventually dismissed it as inconsequential to the current issue.

"It was not the Arthur or Merlin of this world." The demon said dismissively in a gravelly voice. "Le Fay still lives and still I suffer the curse of Blood.

"I told the Batman what I know and he insisted on telling you. Heed me now or leave me to-"

Etrigan froze as a sharp blade appeared at his throat, a purple light was just visible out of the corner of his eye.

"You do not make demands of Death." Came the icy tones of Miya Howlett. "You are a foul beast and you should be on your knees, begging my husband's forgiveness for even being within his line of sight. Be assured that the Batman and I shall be discussing this later."

"Number One, you know I wouldn't be here with a demon if it was a situation I could handle." Batman countered calmly.

"Which is why this creature's head is not already rolling at my husband's feet. Explain the situation quickly so we can be rid of this demon."

"Etrigan says that Le Fay is searching for the Philosopher's Stone. It is said to have the power to manipulate time and reality."

"Hmmph, a bit different to the stone I knew." Harry mused. "What do you know about this Le Fay?"

"A powerful witch who has managed to attain a form of immortality, she-"

"Not a witch." Harry said as he stood there with his eyes closed. "Magic can't sense her. She must be a sorcerer or something. She probably gets her abilities from demons or natural energies."

"She also has a son, Mordred. He is nearly as old as his mother now as he is also immortal."

"Is there a reason you haven't been able to kill her?" Harry asked Etrigan.

Miya lowered her sword, but kept it ready.

"The witch has an amulet that alerts her to my presence. I cannot get near her."

"Two words: Sniper rifle."

"Bah! You think a sorceress of her might and power would be stopped by little pieces of metal?" He sneered.

"Considering that the impact from the world's highest calibre sniper rifle could explode her head… yes." Harry countered. "But even so, a less powerful rifle could temporarily incapacitate her so you can move in for the close quarters kill."

"Do you have any advice or suggestions?" Batman asked.

"Find the stone." Harry instructed. "Give all your intel to the team then you head a secondary team to track down Le Fay. Then, if you haven't found her or can't take her down on your own, issue a challenge for the stone."

"A challenge between whom?"

Harry rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

%

"I hate you." Clark grumbled as he stomped up the steps of the expensive mansion. With him were Diana and John Stewart.

"Kal, it is unseemly for my god to make such outrageous lies." Diana smirked.

"Jason was more than willing to come with you. You didn't need to drag me along."

"If we brought Teague here, we'd never get him to leave." John said as he nodded to the scantily clad women who opened the doors for them. "And I need you here to stop Diana from going on a rampage."

"I am not that bad." Diana objected. "Xander has been educating my sisters and I on the cultural differences. I do not approve, but I am fully aware that this is entirely their choice."

"See?" Clark turned to John. "You don't need me."

"Mister Kent! Princess Diana and Mister Stewart!" The three civilian clad heroes looked up to see an old man in silk pyjamas and a smoking jacket. "We are thrilled and honoured to have you here!" The man beamed as he descended the ornate stairs with two scantily clad blonde girls on his arms.

"Thank you for seeing us so quickly, Mister Hickman."

"Please! Call me Harv." The man interrupted Clark.

"Thank you, Harv. We really do need to speak in private. It is regarding your early years as an archaeologist." Clark said with a pointed look.

Harv frowned, he turned to the girls and gave them light slaps on the bum. "Go on girls. I'll be out soon. Maybe I can convince these three to join us at the pool."

The two girls giggled and skipped out.

"Follow me." Harv instructed as he led them through several doors to his study. He indicated them to sit on his couches as he took the armchair.

"We'll cut to the chase, Harv." Clark began. "We believe you discovered the Philosopher's Stone and have been using it. So long as you haven't been using it to abuse others then we have no issue with you.

"But the bottom line is that it is a dangerous artefact and someone very dangerous has begun looking for it. We need to fully assess it and either lock it away or destroy it."

Harv sighed and leant back in his chair. "I suppose it is for the best then. I certainly don't need it to maintain my lifestyle."

"What did you use it for?" John asked curiously.

"Money." Harv shrugged. "At first it was just money to live. Then money to take my wife to fancy restaurants. I guess I Iost my head a bit after I found out about her affair and I went a bit wild with the money. I bought a nice mansion, clothes, hosted parties… somewhere along the line it became about the girls."

"So you didn't use it control the girls? Or-"

"What?!" Harv was nearly on his feet in anger. "That's disgusting! The worst issues I've had with the girls is jealousy and bullying.

"Besides… I didn't even know that was possible." He admitted ruefully.

They jumped to their feet as screams sounded from outside. The three heroes immediately activated their costumes.

Harv was slightly confused as he followed the superheroes out to the grotto where the girls were supposed to be relaxing in the hot tub. The knowledge of who wore those costumes was now hidden to him.

Floating above the now deserted grotto was Morgaine Le Fay, dressed in gold coloured armour with purple silk sleeves. Her face was covered in a gold mask.

"Morgaine Le Fay, surrender peacefully." Green Lantern ordered.

He quickly threw up a shield to deflect the bolt of energy sent his way.

"Wonder Woman, take Mister Hickman and get the stone." Superman instructed.

He felt Wonder Woman vanish as she teleported out.

"The stone is mine!" Le Fay declared angrily.

"Stand down." Superman ordered.

He too had to deflect a bolt.

"Allow me, Kal."

Superman stepped back as the ebony haired Loki stepped up between the two men. She was dressed in a tight-fitting, floor length black dress with a slit from the waist down and an elaborate horned headpiece. A staff was in her hand.

"Give me the stone or I will destroy this city!" Morgaine screamed.

Loki drew back her staff like a javelin and threw it straight at Morgaine's head. The staff hit Morgaine clear in the face, cracking the mask.

"BITCH!" Morgaine screamed in rage and pain.

And then she vanished.

Loki sighed as she summoned her staff. "That's the problem with these so-called 'super-villains'. They have no honour in battle. They flee at the first sign of defeat."

"Wonder Woman should have the stone by now." Superman assured the Goddess of Mischief. "We can set a trap so she can't escape."

Loki fixed Superman with a serious look. "Kal, did you feel the energy she was using? It was dark and tainted. It did not have the feeling of the divine. She is either a demon or allied with a demon."

%

"It is true." Jason Blood confirmed. He had shed the form of Etrigan and was now seated at the table in the Great Hall with the others. Blood was much more easy to talk to than Etrigan. "It was demons that accounted for most of the army Morgaine used to assault Camelot.

"Perhaps had I paid more attention to that, I would not have betrayed my king." He grumbled to himself.

"Harv Hickman has relinquished the stone and all his research related to finding it." Diana reported. "I am unsure what to do with it as when Mister Hickman picked it up he… became younger.

"We both believe this is a result of his realising the true powers of the stone. He has asked only that we provide witness, should it be needed, when he attempts to prove his identity to the various authorities."

"At this point I would hand it over to Clark, Dad or myself." Harry advised. "There isn't anything that stone can do that we can't replicate via magic. It will be fairly pointless in our hands."

"What then shall you do with it? Lock it away? Destroy it?" Blood asked curiously.

"I was thinking of making it the first item for study in the Phantom Zone." Harry smiled happily. "I'm sure we can find some decent scientific minds to prod it and discover what makes it tick."

"To what end?" John Stewart enquired. "Like you said, you can replicate everything it can do."

"Yes, but maybe not how. It isn't magical in the sense that it draws its power from me, so what is powering it?"

"Did you have anyone in mind?" Bruce asked.

"Dani, for sure. Also-"

"Moonstar? Mirage?" Chloe asked gobsmacked. "The certifiable nutjob who is constantly pulling pranks and turning Jonathan Kent into a parody of her people?"

Emma chuckled as she saw the aforementioned nutjob being held in place by a smiling Amara. "Chloe, Dani's mutant ability is to manifest the deepest aspects of your mind. Your fantasies and nightmares. She trained hard to control that ability so she wouldn't scare everyone to death."

Chloe just gestured to her torso. "Nutjob."

Considering Chloe was now wearing an animal skin bikini with a feather in her head… Dani wasn't doing herself any favours.

"Let's move on." Clark said hastily as he sent a finite at his friend. "What should we do about Le Fay? We could set a trap or just head straight in and get her."

"You know where she is?" Jason Blood asked with clear amazement.

"I hit her with several tracking charms, a nano bot tracker from The Vision, one of Bruce's trackers and a seed from Alec."

"When did you have time to do that?" Diana laughed, she was very impressed.

"I might not be as fast as Barry, but I am faster than most." Clark shrugged.

"Where is she?" Laura asked.

"London, the Natural History Museum."

Xander sucked in a breath. "That's pretty close to a lot of important places. Doing it during the day would cause thousands of casualties. Even at night the property damage could be astronomical."

"Let's arrange a place to fight her." Laura suggested. "I'll go in, leave a message and challenge and hopefully she'll show. I'll stick around in case she doesn't and you can come in and we'll end her."

It was a large open space just to the north-west of Pen Ponds in Richmond Park, London. It was midnight and the only light came from the ambient light of the city and the moon in the sky.

Loki was standing there, waiting patiently with the Philosopher's Stone in one hand and her staff, planted in the ground in the other. A small light illuminated her, emanating from the head of her staff.

The small area was suddenly lit up with a bright light as Morgaine Le Fay appeared, at her side was a small boy with blonde hair who looked to be about twelve.

"The coward." Le Fay said derisively. "Too afraid to face me in front of witnesses."

"I just didn't want you cowering behind innocent civilians." Loki smirked. "Besides, I'm not the one who ran from our first encounter. You take one little stick to the face and you go running for your mommy."

"Silence wench!" The boy sneered. "I'll have you as my personal maid before this night is done."

"And my uncle will have your soul." Loki countered.

"Hand over the stone, girl." Morgaine ordered. "Do not make me torture you for it."

"Girl?" Loki challenged. "Perhaps I should introduce myself. I am Loki Odinson, daughter of Odin Borson, Princess of Asgard, Goddess of Mischief and Lies."

As she spoke she flared her own power, lighting up the entire clearing.

"And I am Morgaine Le Fay, daughter of the Elder Folk, I have held the lives of men in my hand for millennia, since Atlantis fell.

"If we are done with the pointless posturing, shall we begin?"

"Of course, but one moment, please." Loki said politely before turning to look behind her into the darkness. "Uncle, what of the boy?"

Heavy thuds shook the ground as an orange glow hovered nearby. It grew closer and Mordred, the boy, paled. Standing just outside the light was a massive black dragon.

"The boy is as evil as his mother." Came the deep and gravelly voice. "End their lives so I can cleanse this realm of their tainted souls."

Loki curtsied and turned, throwing her staff straight at the dumbfounded pair. As it travelled it sharpened and transformed into a spear that pierced the boy in the head, felling him instantly.

It took Morgaine a good few seconds to realise what had happened before she screamed in rage.

"I SHALL GUT YOU!" She threw bolts of energy at Loki in rapid succession.

Loki didn't move as the bolts impacted her position, obscuring her in a field of debris.

Morgaine didn't let up until she could barely stand. She fell to her knees over her son's body.

She never saw the blade that took her head.

Loki stood over the cooling bodies of mother and son, her staff in one hand and a sword in the other. "It is done, Uncle." She said quietly.

"Who do you think would like to house these two?" Harry asked his goddaughter as he grabbed the souls, making them visible. They were heavily scarred and deformed.

"You aren't going to destroy them?" Loki was surprised.

"Eventually. But your father pointed out to me that if they don't suffer for their crimes then others will merely step in to fill the void."

"What is going on? I leave the store for a few minutes and now I've got people playing with souls?"

The Aspect and goddess turned to see an ebony-haired, pale skinned girl glaring at them. She was dressed all in black. Tight black trousers and a black halter top. A large ankh pendant hung around her neck and she held a black parasol in her hand.

After a few seconds Loki turned to Harry, seemingly dismissing the girl as a threat. "This one feels very powerful, Uncle. Although, not very bright or observant."

"It's not like I take out a full page add in the Inter-Dimensional Times, ya know." Harry grumbled.

"Hey! I'm talking to you." The girl said irritably. "Now put the souls down and step away."

"Teleute? What do you think you are doing?"

Into the midst of this small group appeared Clark with the tall and imposing Hades. Hades was shocked by the girl's presence as well.

"Doing? I'm stopping this fool from getting in more trouble than he's worth." She paused and then gave him a suspicious look. "Weren't you exiled?"

"Teleute, you are attempting to stop our Aspect from doing his work!" Hades hissed. "This is Lord Death. This is his Right Hand, Kal-El."

"What? Why would the Aspect come here?" She asked in disbelief.

"Hades, as you're here, would you mind housing these two souls for a few millennia?" Harry asked the Grecian God. "I've decided to allow some punishment instead of simply disposing them."

Hades looked at the two souls with disgust. "My Lord, you aren't expecting me to… rehabilitate them, are you?"

"No, course not. I'll destroy them when their time is done. This is just a matter of setting an example."

"Oh." Hades looked rather relieved. "I must confess that there have been some rumblings of discontent amongst your avatars about the possibility of the underworld pits being empty."

"Hmm, I should probably check in on the gods of the other reality as well then, make sure I didn't piss them off too much."

"Hey! Is someone going to explain what is going on?"

"Christ Tel! Just how obtuse can you get?"

Harry was aghast at his baby sister's entrance. "Luna! Language!"

"Buzz off Harry. You too, Hades. I'll explain things to Tel and send her along for a debrief."

It was more than hour later that the team and assorted residents were assembled in the Great Hall. The attention of the various attendees was split between the demon Etrigan, the knight Jason Blood and the Avatar of Death, Teleute.

"Alright, let's start with the easy one." Clark began the meeting. "Etrigan, what are your intentions now that you are free from Jason Blood?"

"To return to my home and avoid you all like the plague." The demon snorted. "I have no intention of enraging an Aspect."

"Ok, I assume you can find your own way home?"

"Yes, despite how long it has been." He turned to Harry. "I would, however, like to petition the services of myself and my realm as one of your underworlds. It is the only way I can see us not being targeted in the future."

"I'll arrange a meeting to discuss it." Harry gave a simple nod.

With that Etrigan turned and marched out of the Great Hall and the castle.

"Jason Blood, what about you?" Clark addressed the now curse free man.

Jason gave a tired sigh. "My appointed punishment has been lifted. But I do not feel I have fully atoned for my sins. My years have been spent searching for Le Fay to rid myself of Etrigan, not pay my penance.

"If your people will accept me, I will work with them to aid the people, as a knight should."

"We'll meet with some people and discuss it." Clark nodded. "Feel free to stay."

"And that leaves us with Miss Bossy Boots." Xander grinned, redirecting all attention to Teleute.

Unfortunately for the poor avatar, her pale complexion made her blush very prominent. "I said I was sorry." She mumbled.

"Just out of curiosity, where have you been? There have been numerous mass deaths since I arrived in this universe." Harry asked.

"My sister was murdered and my brother left us. I've been trying to find him." She said solemnly.

"My condolences." Harry said sincerely. "If there is anything we can do to help, please ask."

"Thank you, but I have been working on this for centuries and now that I am back I wish to focus on my duties."

"Is there any other pressing business that we need to discuss here?" Clark asked.

"Yeah, have you business types seen this?" Jason Teague asked as he tapped a few commands on to the holographic keyboard that each seat had.

The centre of the table emitted a holographic view of what appeared to be a scientific report.

"Has this been tested on anything?" Clark asked aghast.

The report on the 'Metamorpho' project by Stagg Enterprises was clearly distressing to all the table's occupants. It showed a computer generated model of a supposedly new compound that could mutate a person into a being capable of surviving the most hostile of environments.

"Clark, I'm going to need you to come and talk to the President with me." Lex said firmly. "If you can get the Japanese Prime Minister to come as well that would be great."

"In the meantime I want Laura and Logan to infiltrate Stagg Enterprises and confiscate everything relating to this project." Scott ordered.

"Whoa… that bad?" Lois asked.

Scott was considered the ultimate voice of reason and calm decision in the group. Even more than Clark.

"Take it from a mutant, that stuff could destroy lives."

%

Laura and Xander looked on in concern as Logan knelt on all fours, panting. Around them was a complete disaster.

They had discovered that a sample of the mutagen from Stagg Enterprises was being transported by train into the city.

A commuter train filled with unsuspecting civilians.

The sample was left in an unattended briefcase in the baggage compartment. It spilled and destroyed part of the carriage causing a derailment and crash.

Logan had been collecting the case when the crash occurred, he had been doused in the stuff.

Eventually the spasms and seizures eased off and he collapsed, rolling onto his back, exhausted.

"Do you know why diseases, viruses and poisons are worse than gunshot, knife and physical wounds, Old Man?" Logan wheezed from the floor. "Because you can see when the wound is closed and the damage is healed. You can see it happening."

"Or you could just have Harry build you a new healthy body." Xander suggested as he offered the short mutant his hand.

"What's the damage?" Logan asked as he surveyed the remains of the wrecked carriage.

"Two dead, sixteen injured. The train is a right off." Laura answered.

"I'm thinking we should grab Chloe or a telepath and have a word with Mister Stagg." He growled. "This stinks of some kind of sloppy set up."

%

"Good news: President Horne has set in motion the means to stop Stagg Enterprises dead.

"Bad news: We may have insulted him as we interrupted his meeting where he was starting those plans." Lex announced sheepishly.

Lex and Clark were sitting down in the castle common room at the end of the day. The usual suspects were already relaxing.

"Well, it had to happen at some point." Lorna sighed. "It's like they say; even a stopped clock is right twice a day."

"Unless it's digital." Lois countered.

"Or a sun dial." Dani grinned.

There was a moment's silence as they all attempted to figure out what would cause a sun dial to 'stop'.

"Clark, please don't play with the planets." Lex begged.

"I think, considering you are talking about 'time', Barry would be more of a concern." Clark scoffed. "But the Stagg situation is resolved for now."

"I didn't do it but my Aspect is pissed!"

They all turned to the newly arrived Flash.

"Because we were discussing a joke about time?" Lorna chuckled in disbelief.

"Joke? What the hell is wrong with the world today!?" The Flash demanded in clear agitation.

"Barry, what is wrong?" Harry asked seriously as he and Clark approached the Avatar. The others simply prepared to hear some bad news… as usual.

"Wrong? WRONG! I'm about to head home from work to catch a nap before patrol when everything around me starts to change!

"Suddenly everyone is sporting red arm bands with Swastikas! I asked what the hell was going on and suddenly I'm being arrested for treason!"

Clark immediately began issuing orders. "Laura, get on the net and see what is going on. Cuckoos, I need you in Cerebro… if you confirm anything The Flash has said then forget all rules you might have about protecting people's privacy.

"Loki, I need you to speak with Odin and see if he is affected or has any information. Aphrodite, same with Zeus.

"Amara, take the Amazons in the castle and check on Themiscyra. Dad, take the Sekirei and check on the farm and the Amazons there.

"Everyone else, suit up."

%

Whilst Superman had his team trying to establish the current situation, Harry went off to see what he could find.

First stop: The White House.

It did not look like he quite remembered. He was sure the giant Swastika flags on the building were not there last time, nor the soldiers in the guard tower.

He was fairly certain the tank was new.

Ordinarily Harry would leave this sort of thing to Clark and his team, unfortunately an Aspect was involved and that meant he was fully off the leash.

At the moment he didn't have any useful intel, he headed back to the castle.

%

"Barry, how is Time holding up?" Harry asked the jittery Avatar as he arrived in the Great Hall.

"Pissed." Was the terse reply. "Someone has rewritten the entirety of the past and as it wasn't you and it certainly wasn't me, Time is out for blood."

"Have you been able to determine the point at which things changed?"

Barry shook his head. "It's not like talking to you. The closest I can figure is it's like Aphrodite describes communicating with Love.

"Magic and Death Avatars have no idea how good they have it."

"We've confirmed it occurred before the end of the Second World War and after the turn of the century." Clark said as he joined them. "We think we have identified the individual behind it as well."

He handed both men a digital tablet each. Barry whizzed through his in a second. Harry was idly swiping through the pages.

"Vandal Savage…" Harry mused. "How far back have you traced him?"

"To a portrait from several centuries ago and vague references dating back even further."

"Did the Cuckoos have anything to say?"

"Whoever he is, he has managed to protect his mind so they can't find him. They are only able to track him through the eyes of others."

"And the other members of your team?"

"Only John Stewart was unaffected. He theorised that his ring protected him. The wards on the farm, Themiscyra and the Hidden City protected the residents. John went to check on Gorilla City."

"Do we have a plan? An idea? A rotten tomato would do in a pinch!" Barry asked as he fidgeted.

"Focus, Barry." Harry said sternly. "This is your domain. Your Aspect. You should take the lead. Clark and I will follow your instructions."

Unfortunately, as infinite and patient as Time could be… the same could not be said for its Avatar. Barry closed his eyes and Clark stumbled as the universe came to a sudden stop.

Barry's eyes snapped open. Only the three of them were not frozen. He turned angrily to Harry. "We get Vandal, we pump him for every bit of information we can and then we undo this."

%

It had been quite comical to see Clark walk back into the castle a few moments later with Vandal Savage under his arm, stiff as a board. He hadn't bothered with his suit as there was no one to see him.

"One Savage, as ordered." Clark quipped as he carefully stood the frozen in time immortal.

Vandal Savage was a tall, broad-shouldered, dark-haired, bearded man. He was wearing a blue uniform with no insignia, just that disgusting red, white and black armband.

Barry punched the man in the chest, the effect was that he became unfrozen and flew back into the couch behind him.

"Guards!"

"No one here but us, Randy." Harry smirked. "Barry, we need either Diana, Chloe or a 'Path."

Diana, Chloe and Emma where suddenly all there looking confused.

"Darling, please tell me that Barry has not fallen off the deep end." Emma asked Harry with a weary sigh.

"He's just a little strung out." He assured them. "Di', could you tie him up? We need to know everything he knows so we can fix the timeline."

Diana just nodded and quickly had the man tied up.

"Potter." Vandal spat. "I wondered where you and your 'heroes' vanished to. I thought I had perhaps changed enough that you were never born."

"Randy, you'd have to go back a hell of a lot longer than you did to achieve that." Harry snorted.

"Let's get this sorted." Chloe said firmly. She stepped forward sending a questioning look to Emma.

"Ready when you are, Miss Sullivan." Emma smirked.

Chloe gave a cheeky grin. "Thank you Miss Frost.

"How did you change the timeline?"

"I developed a time machine and went back to Germany, 1930. I helped Adolf Hitler achieve his goals and then betrayed him." As he finished his answer he became disconcerted as he realised he had spoken against his will.

"That's all I need to know." Barry said firmly. "I'll-"

"Take Clark and Logan and go and apprehend Savage as he exits his time machine." Emma finished firmly.

"I was going to let Barry take the lead on this one, Em'." Harry said uncomfortably.

Emma simply turned and looked at Barry expectantly, one eyebrow raised.

Child, adult. Mortal, god. Avatar, Aspect. None of that mattered when faced with pissing off a woman like Emma Frost.

"What she said- Let's go Clark!?" Barry gulped.

There were a few seconds of waiting before Clark and Barry walked back in. Clark was carrying Vandal Savage over his shoulder like a sack 'o spuds.

"Why did you leave him alive?" Diana asked.

"I wanted to try and do a soul merge and I'd rather risk it with this monster than one of the Kryptonians." He said as he dropped his package next to a horrified Vandal Savage.

"The world is back to the way it should be." Barry announced. "I've un-paused time."

"What happens with Savage?" Chloe asked.

"Once Clark has finished his experimentation he gets his own cage next to Minaka." Harry said, his tone brooked no argument. This was considered an attack on an Aspect.

%

"Look Boss, I understand your word is law and all that, but you are making some real bad waves around the workers."

Harry raised an amused eyebrow at Teleute as they casually strolled around the castle grounds. "Define 'bad waves' and 'workers'."

"Your avatars." She amended. "I'm- I was the chief avatar-"

"Still are." Harry interrupted casually.

"Erm… thanks… anyway… well, you heard what Hades said. The pits aren't getting filled. But it works for the opposite end too. The heavenly realms are getting empty."

"What?" Harry asked in befuddlement. "I only work with the evil souls. I rarely interfere with the average soul… face it, if I get involved with the 'average' soul, they can no longer be classed as: average."

"I dunno what to tell ya, Boss. I've only been back a week and it feels… empty."

"Let's get another opinion in here." Harry suggested.

"What now, Harry? Oh, hello Teleute." Clark greeted his brother and his avatar.

"Tel says things are feeling wrong. Like there aren't enough souls in this world." Harry explained.

Clark casually transfigured his business suit to his more common jeans, t-shirt and shirt. "Hel hasn't said anything. But let's be honest, she is clearly still skittish.

"Odin hasn't had any complaints about Valhalla.

"Who, specifically, is making these complaints?" He asked the Avatar. "Maybe we can talk to them and trace the problem down that way."

"Me, for starters." Teleute frowned. "I don't do anything really active, but I feel like I've been doing less than I normally do since I got back.

"Part of that could be because the Boss is so close here."

"Why don't you head back to Scott's world and check in with your avatars there?" Clark suggested to his brother. "Ask if they experienced anything similar and if things changed when you moved here."

"Yes Sir!" Harry saluted before vanishing.

Teleute stood there, staring at where her Aspect had just stood. Clark just sighed.

"The Boss… He's not… all there, is he?" She asked tentatively.

"Mainly by choice." Clark grumbled.

%

"C-Chloe?"

The blonde looked up from her computer to see the unassuming Andrea at her door. "Andrea, come in." She smiled.

"Can we talk about, secret stuff?" The raven haired woman asked with a pointed look around the room.

"Sure, this room is always protected. It's why you'll often see Pauline in here when she's with someone like Clark or Harry."

"Right… look, I have a really big and stupid favour to ask." She said uncomfortably.

Chloe couldn't help the amused look. "Big and stupid, huh?"

Andrea slouched and scowled. "Look, can you and your friends handle Suicide Slums this weekend?"

"Sure, there are always Amazons and Sekirei in the area, they try to stay out of your way."

"Thanks." She said with clear relief.

"So… got a hot date lined up?"

Andrea officially hated Smug Chloe. "I want to spend some time with Smokey."

Chloe just laughed.
