The war on Thanagar was over. Baldur had quelled the troops and destroyed their weapons. The Imperial Fleet was reduced to space debris.

The surrender was made to Baldur. A hulk of a man who could best any five of them in combat. The Thanagarians were not pleased when this warrior knelt before the small human who probably didn't have the strength to lift a weapon.

Harry was fine with showing them his weapon. Even an Nth metal weapon won't hold up against a lightsabre.

Harry had consulted with Shayera and recruited a few trustworthy individuals to act as government for him. In the meantime he had utilised the Green Lantern corps to approach the conquered planets of the Thanagar Empire and to ease them into the realisation that they would no longer be oppressed.

Harry wasn't going to release them from his rule, he just wasn't going to force them to adopt a foreign culture or prevent them from flourishing.

Back on Earth things were calming down. Jason and Victor focused on the new heroes arising and everyone else stuck to preventing crime in their cities.

The intel from Atomica and the Outsider revealed that the duplicate Lex was actually their incarnation of Shazam, although it was reversed to 'Mazahs'. Billy had spent five minutes just trying to pronounce it before deciding Shazam was much cooler.

But there were still adventures, tasks, battles…

"Today is a grand day." Harry declared as he stood before his troops. "A day that we shall remember for many years to come."

"Uncle loves to give his speeches." Loki snickered as she stood with Clark and the other castle residents behind the Aspect.

"Does he care if his audience isn't interested?" Clark asked.

"Of course!" Lorna grinned. "It determines whether he'll entertain them or bore them to death."

"Remember, Harry spent millions of years alone." Jean told them. "When I met him he had developed a habit of talking to himself. He would recite speeches, literature. He'd watched and read everything hundreds of times. He knew them all by heart."

"The only thing he likes better than giving the speech is butchering the ones he memorised." Dani laughed.

"Hank used to love listening to those ones." Amara smiled in fond remembrance.

Their attention was brought back to Harry and his audience.

"Uncle Harry?"

"Yes Thor?" Harry seamlessly stopped his speech as the little goddess raised her hand.

"Can we ride now?" She asked somewhat eagerly.

"You don't want to listen to the rest of my speech?" Harry pouted.

Thor shook her head, her long blonde pigtails flying.

Harry sighed. "I'll have to remember it for the future.

"Very well, ladies, grasp the handles!" He ordered.

Thor, Jessica, Kusano and Maddie tightly gripped the handlebars of their brand new bikes.

All around Clark phones were brought out and pictures were taken as Harry started to teach the children how to ride a bike.

"You realise we can view our own memor-"

"Shut up Clark." Kyla elbowed him as she stared at the screen on her phone.

Clark frowned as he noticed a certain Amazon's soul, even if he couldn't see them.

"I asked Odele to photograph the event." Aphrodite whispered in his ear.

"Clark?"

He turned as he felt Musubi tap his shoulder.

"Can you teach me to ride a bike?" She asked hopefully.

"I can try." He smiled at her.

%

Being a farmer was what Clark thought his life would be. He had been raised and trained to be a farmer. And he was a farmer.

He was also a business man. He owned and ran one of the most successful business on the planet. He was practically brothers with the owners of the other two most successful business.

Today was a big day. On the steps of LuthorCorp, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent stood alongside Lex Luthor and announced their first major joint business deal. The portal doors were now ready for mass production and sale to the public.

There had been a lot of opposition to the doors at first. Complaints about jobs being lost in the transport and oil industries, security issues around homes and international borders… there were quite a few good issues raised… but far too many pointless ones.

Clark had a response for every argument. The doors had been debated and discussed by his family and company for years now.

Countries like America were putting heavy taxes on the sale of the doors, mainly because there was no way they could tax their use. Other countries were eager to get rid of cars and actually had tax incentives for people trading their driver's license for a door.

But now, in Metropolis, on the steps of LuthorCorp the three titans of industry shook hands with smiles in the bright flashes of photography under the starry night.

After the press conference they headed inside and up to Lex's office.

They made it half way up in the elevator when the building shook and the elevator plummeted. All three men suited up as Superman stopped the lift's descent.

They quickly made it outside to find panic as people fled falling debris from a massive hole in the side of the building.

"Internal or external?" Batman asked quickly.

Iron Man's sensors scanned the hole. "External. A strong possibility it was an attempt on one of us.

"Security feeds show a man in a fully body suit leaping off a building and diving towards LuthorCorp. He exploded just prior to impact."

"A suicide bomber?" Superman frowned.

"No… the man himself didn't explode, he created the explosion."

"A meta." Batman growled.

"Erm… Lex, I can remember your vault." Superman said worriedly.

Iron Man sucked in a breath. "That means it's been breached. Both of you stay here, I don't know if anything will affect you if it is released."

Iron Man vanished.

"A vault?" Batman asked Superman.

"It contains some fairly dangerous stuff. Lex told me about it and then had the Fidelius cast. The idea is that if I remember the vault it has been breached."

"Couldn't have installed a trip wire?" Batman smirked.

"The stuff in the vault is so dangerous that Lex wanted a foolproof way for me to be alerted if it is breached." Superman said seriously.

"Batman, leave the area or put on a hazmat suit." Lex ordered over the comms. "Clark, the Amazo Virus is loose."

"Amazo? As in…?" Batman asked as he activated his suits containment features.

"An organic virus meant to combat any illness. Like the Amazo android it learnt how various diseases worked and how the body fought them, it could mimic them and then aid the body in fighting back."

"But it didn't work?"

"It would supress and destroy meta-abilities. All subjects died. But on subjects without meta-abilities it would generate abilities… and then kill them."

Batman was confused. "This doesn't sound like something Lex would test on humans and rodents don't have meta-abilities."

Superman scoffed. "The clone."

Batman sighed in understanding. Lex's clone had developed and tested it.

"He was trying to find a way to kill me. He managed to dose me but my system fought and won."

"I don't remember you being dosed."

"We only found out when Lex went through the clone's notes. The virus was useless against me.

"The major concern is that the virus is airborne." Superman frowned.

"Why hasn't Lex developed a vaccine?" Batman asked.

"He's been working on it, I assume. We need a way to contain the city."

Batman sighed in resignation. "Lois and Kyla are going to kill me."

%

"Seriously? Again?" Kyla demanded as she looked up at the sky with Lana and Lois.

A semi-transparent beam of white energy was being directed from space. It fanned out and encompassed the whole city of Metropolis.

Once again, the city was under a bubble.

"It was pretty effective the last time." Lana shrugged.

"Yeah, but why do we always get stuck inside?" Lois grumbled.

"Because you hate working the command center." Lana grinned. "Come on, what's the big deal? At least we know this isn't a malicious attack. It is a preventative measure to stop the spread of the virus."

"Are we sure this suit will hold up?" Kyla asked as she pulled at the skin tight white fabric that covered her. It was a body suit that covered them completely.

"Bruce designed it and tested it." Lois responded, still grumpy over the new dome. "We all know how anal retentive the bastard is."

"Did he have to make it so revealing?" Lana was not pleased that it left nearly nothing to the imagination as they had no clothes on underneath.

"So what's our job? Crowd control?" Lois asked.

"Find the infected and stun them." The Cuckoos instructed mentally. "Bring them to the football stadium where Harry will fix them."

"No reasoning and asking?" Kyla asked out loud.

"No time. The virus works quick. We have tracked thirty dead already."

%

Whilst the Amazons were essentially running rampant through the city War Machine was working with Supergirl and Cyborg to deal with the cause of the explosion.

"We're really sure I won't get infected?" Supergirl asked nervously. She was only in her costume which left her head completely exposed.

Even Cyborg had generated additional armour to cover his entire body.

"Supergirl, chill." Cyborg assured her. "The worst that happens is that you get infected. Then Harry will just build you a new body."

"Superman has been here since the initial outbreak. The virus can barely stick to his skin." War Machine added.

"Yeah, Kal is a god. He can generate an electrical field to sterilise himself." She scowled.

Cyborg placed a comforting armoured hand on her shoulder. "Kara, both Jason and myself are monitoring our vitals. We can track the virus and it is not affecting you."

"When this is done, you could always have Harry or Superman build you a new body anyway." War Machine offered. "It's actually really refreshing. Lana described it as leaving a full service spa."

"This is really uncomfortable."

The trio turned to see The Flash and Hawkgirl standing there. The Flash was in his costume but with added plastic face masks that Batman had designed.

Hawkgirl was in a full white body suit like the amazons. It was also tightly wrapped around her wings.

"How can you fly?" Supergirl asked.

"Magic." Hawkgirl was clearly not happy. "I swear I'm going to forget I can't use my wings and fall to my death."

"I'll catch you." The Flash promised. "So, have you managed to find anything?"

"We just got here. But there is a body ten meters that way." Cyborg pointed into the building as they stood on the edge of the massive hole.

"Alright. You boys head in and clear the area."

"What about us?" Supergirl asked as the young armoured men left.

"I don't think it would be smart for Hawkgirl to go in there yet in case her suit rips. As for you, Lex is a scientist. He always warned Clark to stay out of his labs. He probably has kryptonite in there."

"What?" Supergirl's eyes went wide.

"Scientist." The Flash reiterated. "Lex likes to learn and create. He's probably got half a dozen projects on protecting you and Supes from the stuff."

%

"Any progress, Lex?" Harry asked the formerly follically challenged man as he entered the advanced labs in the castle.

"I have half the solution. The half I am missing is how to make it bind to human cells." Lex said as he looked at a screen showing a microscopic view of the virus. "If you can't figure it out then I might need to call for help from Scott's world."

"Hey, boss, could I get a boost?"

The two men turned to see Deadpool on the floor.

Well, half of Deadpool. He was missing both legs and an arm. His costume was completely burnt off along with most of his skin.

"Wade? What happened?" Harry asked as he began running diagnostic charms.

"I was being paid to assassinate Lex Luthor. Figured I play along, track him and see if there was anyone else being paid the same.

"I saw someone take a swan dive off a building, I thought they were suicidal so I figured I'd do my good deed for the day… but they blew up. When I came to, I was like this. The old healing factor seems to have kicked it."

"It's still there." Harry assured him as he began regrowing the limbs. "It is just slow. It looks like you were attacked by the Amazo Virus and your healing factor was focused on stopping that before fixing everything else."

"Huh… how long was I out?" Deadpool frowned.

"It's been one of those days." Harry sighed.

"Deadpool, can I take a blood sample?" Lex asked as he held up a large needle.

Deadpool whimpered. "Needles?"

%

"Doctor Potter, thank you for coming." President Horne shook the man's hand and guided him to the couches in the Oval Office. "Could you give me your take on what has happened and how things are progressing?"

"In short, an assassination attempt on Lex Luthor seriously damaged one of his labs and the sterile vaults. A dangerous virus was released and the already on the scene members of Shield initiated quarantine procedures.

"The entire city of Metropolis was quarantined and the CDC was called in along with the National Guard to initiate evacuation of uninfected civilians.

"As of this moment, Lex has developed a cure and it is being dispersed into the air. Metropolis will need to be quarantined for at least a week whilst the buildings are sterilised."

"Can you explain the nature and origin of this virus?" Horne asked.

Harry sighed and sat back. "Several years ago, Lex Luthor was murdered by his father and replaced with a clone. That clone immediately cut ties with us. You might remember his sister, Tess, going on the news and condemning him. He also took back the Luthor name that our Lex had abandoned when his father cast him out.

"That clone worked with the US Army to create methods to kill people like Superman. Including the Amazo Virus. The Virus itself was not meant as a weapon but a cure for all human illnesses.

"Anyway, that is where the virus came from and when I brought Lex back and killed the clone, Lex discovered the work the clone had been doing and started to work on undoing it all."

"And the reason it was being kept in a populated city?" Horne scowled.

"Why do we keep samples of Smallpox in Atlanta?" Harry shrugged. "There were plenty of failsafes, but at the end of the day, a big enough explosion is gonna beat quite a lot."

Horne was clearly not pleased but knew he couldn't really push.

"Someone needs to be held accountable. I just don't know who." Horne muttered.

"That's easy." Harry grinned. "The arsehole who hired an assassin to murder Lex Luthor and the idiot assassin who decided to do it with a massive explosion with no care for innocent casualties."

Horne nodded. "It is the fall out from the virus that I am concerned about. Questions will be asked."

"Tell the truth. At the same time, maybe you should see about moving any other dangerous elements away from populated areas.

"You know, viruses, explosives, insane prisoners with penchant for breaking out and murdering hundreds."

Horne sighed. It was an old argument that the whole world was privy to. It began with the previous administration. "Again, it is a matter for state government. It is why only some states still have the death penalty."

"Alright." Harry folded his arms. "Just remember that for the future."

Horne grimaced. He'd become familiar enough with Doctor Potter that he knew the man was going to rock the boat.

"Ah, Mademoiselle Lang, welcome, welcome!"

"What is going on Jason?" Lana narrowed her eyes at her ex as she walked into the French restaurant in Beijing. She was wearing a very expensive long black dress that the Cuckoos and Kazehana had just shoved her in.

Jason was dressed in a tuxedo with a long tailed coat like a maître d'hotel. And doing a horrible French accent. "Mademoiselle, I am your humble servant." Jason clapped his hands and Lana raised an eyebrow as Kara walked up in a somewhat indecent French maid's outfit. She did not look happy.

"Ah, please see Mademoiselle to 'er table."

"Do you want me to slap him?" Lana asked the younger blonde.

Kara sighed as she gestured with her head for Lana to follow. "You're an Amazon. You'd take his head off as easily as me. I'll ask Vic to do it later."

They ignored the gulp behind them.

"So what is going on?" Lana asked as she was led into the restaurant.

"You are being set up on a date." Kara finally smiled.

"Ok… I'm guessing it's with Clark."

Kara turned and glared at her. "It was supposed to be a surprise!"

Lana laughed. "Kara, there is no way that Kyla would set me up with anyone else. She would find out if anyone tried and she would raise hell.

"Secondly, I can feel Clark nearby."

"You can feel him through an indirect soul bond?" Kara asked curiously.

"I can feel all of them. I can feel Harry, Dani, Lorna… anyone in our interconnected web."

"Yes, yes." Came the impatient voice of Kyla Kent as she came up in her own maid outfit. "Most favoured of our goddess, an example for all Amazons. Stop keeping our man waiting!"

Lana moved through to the private room at the back, which was fairly pointless as the restaurant was empty. She found Clark sitting at a table for two in a suit and tie. He hated tuxedos.

"This can't be your idea." Lana looked at him curiously as he held her chair for him.

"The date? Listen, I can be romantic. I just wasn't sure you were ready for a relationship like this."

"No, the whole French restaurant in China."

"Apparently this is all Jason. He said, and I quote: 'Always keep them guessing.'"

Lana breathed in deeply as she rolled her eyes. Typical. "You remember my first date with Jason?" She asked.

Clark snorted. "How could I forget? I was there."

"Yes, in a Chinese restaurant in Paris. I asked Jason why he would bring a girl there for a first date. His response was that smirk and the same line. Always keep them guessing."

"Ah." Clark smiled in realisation. "I like my friends."

"Yes… despite how annoying they can be." Lana returned the smile.

"So… are we starting over… or picking up where we left off?" Clark asked.

"Clark, I regret nothing about our relationship. Not even breaking up with you. But throughout it all I also never regretted knowing you or loving you.

"I say we just… escalate our current situation." She smirked as her foot slipped up his leg under the table and she teleported them out.

Kara was left staring at them as she was about to approach with a menu. "B-B-B-ut-"

"Is he ever gonna make the first move?" Kyla sighed as she stepped up behind the confused blonde.

"What? What happened?" Jason asked as he poked his head around the corner. "Oh… that was quick." He nodded appreciatively at the now empty table.

"But we did all this work for nothing!" Kara exclaimed in annoyance.

Jason turned that appreciative look on her. "I wouldn't say 'nothing'."

"I'll leave you to it." Kyla laughed as she teleported out.

"So… it would be a shame to let all this go to waste." Jason indicated the table.

Metropolis was finally back in working order. It had taken nearly two weeks but it seemed like nothing had changed. The death toll was comparatively small to what it could have been, merely a few hundred.

But now there was a serial killer on the loose and it had caught the attention of Shield.

Superman, Batman, The Flash and Cyborg had joined Shazam in Philadelphia. They were standing in an apartment living room, several meters away was the recently murdered body of a woman. The sun was due to rise within the hour.

"She's the sixth 'Myrna Black' killed in the past 48 hours." Batman reported. "And the sixth time Cyborg detected a boom tube."

"Shaz, you ok?" Cyborg asked a clearly uncomfortable Shazam.

"Never seen a dead body before." The boy in the body of a man admitted.

Cyborg patted his shoulder. "Stay tight and we'll talk later, cool?"

Shazam nodded somewhat shakily. The former footballer had taken a shine to the often impetuous and rude hero.

Cyborg led Shazam over to the other three. "I've got nothing specific on any Myrna Black. The most prominent is a heart surgeon in Mexico.

"But… there is a 'Myrna' in the Amazon archives."

Cyborg now had their complete attention.

"She was their top assassin. She vanished a long time ago. Soon after they settled on the island."

"Any chance you can track your followers?" The Flash asked Superman hopefully.

"I can find my bondmates, I'll go and check with Aphrodite about what she knows." Superman said as he teleported out.

"I'm picking up reports of more murders of women called Myrna Black." Cyborg frowned. "And I can feel the residual effects of the boom tubes."

"We could send the Amazons and Sekirei to make contact with the women." The Flash suggested.

At that point Wonder Woman teleported in. "I received instructions to come as there is a possible Amazon involved?"

"Myrna Black?" The Flash asked.

Wonder Woman frowned. "I do not know that name. We do not use surnames as you do."

"She's listed as an assassin in the Amazon archives." Cyborg projected the data above his arm.

"We can ask Phoebe, this is before my time."

"The Cuckoos?" The Flash asked.

"Oh, no, the Queen's handmaiden." Wonder Woman corrected. "She served my mother before Amara."

At that moment The Flash seemed to go rigid, his back arched, his face to the ceiling in agony. A light emanated from his mouth.

"Flash!" Shazam cried as he tried to move forward. He was held back by Cyborg who was clearly just as distraught.

Then things became horrifying. Fingers emerged from The Flash's mouth, not pulling his mouth apart, but pulling themselves out, a whole new person was emerging.

The Flash's body warped painfully to accommodate the new being. Then an explosion of force sent them flying out the building and onto the street.

Soon, there was a statuesque woman with grey skin, black long hair with one side of her head shaved holding a vicious scythe. She looked so pleased.

And not in a good way.

She looked down at The Flash and smirked. "First blood."

Her scythe lowered to his chest but he went sliding across the floor to Shazam who grabbed him and vanished.

The woman raised an eyebrow at the actions. "Teleporters… this is going to be so much fun."

The members of Shield slowly stood.

"Identify yourself." Batman ordered.

"You are human among the others." The woman regarded him. "Even still, you could cause me serious trouble.

"So you hurt first."

And that was when Wonder Woman came hurtling in with a kick to her face that sent her flying.

It barely fazed the woman. "Diana, my mother told me all about you.

"My Amazon sister."

"You claim to be an Amazon, but you attack your princess? Will you attack your Queen? Your god and goddess?" Wonder Woman demanded.

"And so many more." The woman promised. "Where is it?" She frowned. "Where is the ring bearer?"

"Right here." A giant green fist slammed into the woman sending her flying. Hal Jordan floated down. "Can she fly?" He asked Wonder Woman.

"I have not seen her do so. She claims to be an Amazon, but I don't know her."

"Then let's pull a Clark Kent!" The Green Lantern picked the woozy woman up in a green sphere and shot up into the air. Wonder Woman followed.

"Batman, you ok?" Shazam asked as he returned.

"I'm fine. You did good work today. How is The Flash?"

"I don't know. Harry started working on him but… I have never seen him this pissed. He said he wanted me to go back as an Avatar… what did he mean?"

"The Flash is the Avatar of Time. You are an Avatar of Magic. Harry looks out for all the Aspects so he is working on The Flash. Whilst he is busy he wants you to try and sort things out here."

"So… no pressure then?" Shazam gave him grimacing smile.

"Nobody works alone." Batman assured him.

An explosion of green lit up the night sky.

"The woman has disabled the Green Lantern." Cyborg reported as he stared at the sky. "Wonder Woman has him. The woman is falling to the ground. It will be terminal for a human.

"She is not human."

The woman landed in an explosion of concrete. Seconds later she strode out. "Where is Power Ring?" She demanded.

"Dead." Batman retorted. "Along with the rest of the Crime Syndicate who came here. Are you one of them?"

The woman gave a derisive laugh. "Those simpletons? Where is the ring. I don't need the host."

"Gone. Destroyed." Batman answered.

"You lie."

Batman shrugged. "If you say so. Now are you going to surrender or fight?"

There was a shaft of blue light between them and a new player arrived, sitting in a large futuristic chair and wearing a black body suit with illuminated white highlights.

"Grail, do not do this. I have observed these people. They can kill you and they will kill you." The man stated.

"Is that desperation I hear, Metron?" The newly named Grail taunted. "You won't interfere. You are too spineless."

"I have already interfered." Metron stated. Everyone was blinded by a bright light emanating from the chair.

When it cleared, Metron and the heroes were gone. Grail sneered and spat at the place where the chair had hovered before she turned and moved off.

%

"Where are we?" Cyborg asked curiously.

"This is actually my hangout, Vic." Shazam was clearly as surprised as the rest of them.

"I've brought you all to the Rock of Eternity because it is hidden from their view." The Metron stated as he hovered in his chair.

They were in a large room with a circular depression in the middle and pillars around it.

"Who are you?" Wonder Woman demanded as she helped Green Lantern to his feet.

"I am Metron. An observer. I observe all there is and was in the universe."

"You obviously didn't pay close enough attention."

The heroes visibly relaxed as Harry walked up behind the man with a sneer, The Flash at his side.

The Metron's chair darted away so it could see the new man and the heroes. "I… I do not know you." He frowned.

"All you need to know is that I am pissed. An Avatar of Time was attacked. Time is pissed. Death is pissed. Magic is pissed. Love is pissed.

"Love! Do you know how bad things have to get for Love to get the hump?"

"Who are you?" Metron asked again.

He was ignored as Harry turned to the heroes. "That bitch is still in Philly. Worse, she's actually managed to bring the guy who decimated Earth-3 here.

"Find them. Kill them. We can't risk the cage on them." Harry ordered.

Surprisingly, Batman was the first to teleport out. The Flash went with them leaving Harry staring at the Metron.

"I don't care if you don't want to get involved directly. But don't you ever remove them from their duties again without their permission." Harry warned before he too vanished.

Metron was confused. "I was trying to help." He muttered to himself.

Philadelphia was a mess. The woman, Grail, had managed to call the being known as the Anti-Monitor to their world. The same being that nearly destroyed the Crime Syndicate.

The sun was eclipsed by the moon and the sky was red.

To make things worse, they had challenged Darkseid and the bastard had brought friends.

"Where the hell is Kal?" Wonder Woman demanded as she sliced through para-demons and some form of shadow soldiers that the Anti-Monitor called forth.

A massive boom filled the air and Darkseid vanished from the battlefield as everything fell to the ground and buildings practically exploded with the force of the sonic boom.

"No!" Grail screamed in rage. "Bring him back!"

Everyone pulled themselves off the ground. Even the Anti-Monitor was clearly shocked that Darkseid was so easily dealt with. But the battle soon resumed.

"I love this sword!" Supergirl cried happily as she sliced through shadows and para-demons with the sword Bruce had forged with Hephaestus and Apollo.

"Just remember your training." War Machine called back as he unleashed every weapon in his arsenal.

Batman fought his way to Shazam who was blasting and hitting at anything nasty. "Shazam, we need more light."

"Dude! I'm making a ton of it!" The Avatar of Magic groused as he sent another blast of lighting at a shadow demon.

"Watch me." Batman instructed. He closed his eyes and focused on his memories of happiness. The loving embrace of his parents and Alfred. His brothers and sisters on Shield. The woman he was falling in love with.

"Expecto Patronum!" Batman roared. A massive bat made of white light and the size of a car erupted onto the battlefield. The shadow monsters began to retreat leaving Batman and Shazam free for a few moments.

"Whoa."

Batman placed a hand on Shazam's shoulder. "Find your purest thoughts of love and happiness. Your parents. Your friends. That which makes you warm and gives you comfort. Then say the words. Expecto Patronum."

Shazam closed his eyes. He knew how to find his power. To shape it. Harry and Xander had tutored him personally.

"Expecto Patronum!" A massive and familiar tiger burst forth from the lightning bolt on his chest roaring angrily. "Tawny? He… He isn't made of light." Shazam frowned.

"But he is emitting it." Batman turned to the boy/man. "You are going to make Harry extremely happy." He smirked. He didn't tell him that he was going to be the Aspect's new guinnea pig.

There was another sonic boom that sent everyone flying as Superman slammed into the ground, hammer in hand and made of lightning.

Silence reigned as the heroes and villains picked themselves up.

"You are a being of great power." The Anti-Monitor frowned. "I was told that Darkseid was the ultimate power of this universe." He sent a dark look at Grail who gave a look of 'don't ask me'.

Bolts of energy began to light up the sky like lightning.

"Guys… somethings wrong." The Flash said worriedly as he began to shake.

"Being of speed." The Anti-Monitor said, never turning his eyes from Superman. "If it is to bend to my will… Death needs a host."

A shadowy black figure shot out of nowhere and engulfed The Flash who screamed in fear and pain.

In less than a second The Flash's suit was pitch black, his lightning bolt was now a void of pure energy.

Superman turned and strode up to the new being. "Avatar of Time, I sense an Avatar of Death imposed upon you. I apologise." He inclined his lighting head. "As the Right Hand of Death, I offer you the position as an Avatar of Death. You are always welcome. Speak with your Aspect. I will remove the Avatar of Death if you choose."

"We accept." Came the immediate response of The Flash.

Superman placed a hand of energy on The Flash's shoulder. "Welcome."

The black drained away from The Flash's costume, but the lightning bolt remained the void of energy. He breathed in deeply and smiled weakly at Superman. "I do walk around with the mark of Death."

"And you were always welcome to do so." Harry said as he walked up with Death's Hand at his side.

"Master, do you wish for me to end this creature?" Death's Hand rasped as it regarded the Anti-Monitor.

"No. Deal with the girl. Bring me her soul."

Death's Hand shot towards the grey skinned woman, his lightsabre igniting.

A shadow loomed over him as a massive griffin descended with a woman on its back. Wonder Woman and Shazam immediately intercepted them leaving Death's Hand unimpeded.

Harry turned to the Anti-Monitor. "Creature of evil, you have attacked an Avatar. I would leave your fate to my brother… but I am not that selfish."

All around them individuals appeared from nowhere. They wore all manner of clothes and styles and carried weapons from many cultures.

"All of existence stands against you… they will show you no mercy." Harry teleported out with The Flash and Superman. The gods charged.

%

The trio reappeared nearby where Wonder Woman was locked in battle with the woman and Shazam had the griffin in a headlock.

"Is he immune to sleep spells?" Harry asked curiously.

"I… er… never tried." Shazam added sheepishly. "I figured you had it all handled so I should have some fun."

Harry shrugged. "Carry on."

He then approached where Wonder Woman was clashing swords with the woman. "Hold." Harry ordered.

Wonder Woman immediately leapt back and away leaving the woman confused. "She claims to be the Myrna we sought." Wonder Woman explained.

Amara appeared in her white bodysuit with an entourage of Amazons and most importantly, Dani. "Explain yourself. You attack your princess."

"She attacked me! And I left the island long ago. Long enough that a new Queen rules." Myrna scoffed.

"Actually she was defending Death's Hand." Harry responded.

"He was attacking my daughter!" Myrna looked to where Grail was trying to fend off the wraith with the lightsabre. She clearly wanted to aid the grey skinned female.

"Your daughter?" Harry regarded the fighting duo. "Brother, bring her here."

Superman vanished with a gust of wind only to return in less than a second, Grail was confused as she knelt on the floor.

"Must you interrupt my fun, Master?" Death's Hand grumbled as he teleported next to them.

Harry ignored him. "So tell me, what lunacy would cause an Amazon to raise a monster like this and then unleash it on the world?" He asked Myrna.

"She is Darkseid's daughter. I raised her to kill him. I raised her… better than this." Myrna said sadly.

"Maybe you should have raised her with basic common sense." Death's Hand mused.

Grail snarled and leapt at the cloaked spectre only to be thrown back into the ground by Magma in full lava form. Several swords and spears were also pointed at her throat.

"My Lord." A deep voice sounded. Myrna jumped, her sword raised defensively as she recognised the Greek God of the Underworld standing there. "The creature is defeated. My fellow gods and goddesses are now amusing themselves with the shadows and para demons.

"The sun gods stand ready to eliminate the shadows on your command… but… it would spoil their fun."

"We'll wait until we finish here then." Harry chuckled.

"My Lord." This time it was Hel who appeared and knelt reverently. "Many mortals have died today. Your avatars wish to know if you want them sent to the otherside?"

"No. Have them judge the souls and divide them appropriately. Send any who are problems to me."

"Hades, this is Hel." Superman gestured between the avatars. "Perhaps you could work together, maybe Hel could act as something of a liaison whilst you serve your exile."

Hades grumped. "Kal, our Aspect was attacked. As was an Avatar. My exile was imposed by my brother. A threat to existence supersedes that."

Superman just chuckled.

"I would be happy to serve." Hel inclined her head.

Hades frowned. "Goddess, you are an Avatar of Death. Show pride in your position."

Hel looked a little taken aback.

"Hel, if he gets out of hand, just find Aphrodite." Superman offered, ushering them off as Hades gulped.

"So… what to do with these two." Harry mused.

"This one attacked an Avatar. The Avatar of Time." Superman glared at Grail.

"Then her fate is sealed. She will be placed in the cage."

"Please! Have mercy, she has tried to be good." Myrna fell to her knees. "She is tainted by the blood of Darkseid."

"There are some who could receive parole." Superman offered.

Harry scowled, he turned back to the battlefield. "HADES!"

A few moments later and the god returned. "My Lord?"

"This is the child of an Amazon and this is her mother. Take them. We will see if they can be rehabilitated."

Hades grimaced.

"Consider it punishment for breaking your exile."

Hades sighed and grabbed the girl and her mother, vanishing.

"Harry… what about this one?" They turned to see Shazam sitting on the floor next to the griffin. Tawny on his other side.

"Make sure he behaves. Otherwise… you've got another new pet."

"Rosa is gonna kill me." Shazam groaned.

"Doctor Potter." They turned to see Steve Trevor walking up. He was shielding his eyes from Superman's brightly lit form.

"Steve! What brings you to hell?" Harry grinned.

"I'm here to find out what is going on and to report back to the President." Steve was dressed for combat and had a rifle slung over his shoulder.

"Try again. Jon knows I'll be around soon to brief him." Harry smirked.

"My duties are to investigate meta-human activities." Steve tried to glare, but squinting harder was all he could manage.

"Well, pull out your magnifying glass and crack on."

Harry teleported them out, leaving the Colonel fuming.
