ENTRY 12
HERE'S YOUR SIGN

Among my travels, I saw a street sign that made me laugh. I knew that it would be the perfect gift for my husband who is well known for doing things that are...well...stupid.

Figuring that the best holiday for him to be given the gift would be today.

Valentine's day.

I laugh at myself for the brilliance of it.

Grateful for the spot I have in the living room, looking in the shed that has so many memories attached to it, enjoying that I will be adding a new one.

His motorcycle roars as he parks it next to the garage.

He makes his way into the shed. The same shed that we spent a good chunk of our teenage years in.

Being weeks shy of nine months pregnant with his twin puppies, I was not able to hang out there like I used to. Being the Alpha's wife has its advantages.

(Thanks Embry and Quil for hanging it for me, why it took both of them, I have no idea.)

I hear the radio sound and it almost makes me upset.

Then I hear radio silence, followed by a roar of laughter.

A few minutes later, he comes running into the house we once shared with his father.

"I take it I missed something, didn't I? My sweet wife." I laugh.

"Why would you think that, dear husband?" He smiles the trademark smile that tends to get him out of trouble.

"There is a sign that says 'DON'T BE STUPID' in the tree line. Right where I would see it." That makes me laugh so hard I cry.

And peed myself.

Or was that my water breaking?

"I have no idea where that came from. But I think your cubs are coming." I said that as a joke, knowing he hates me calling them that.

"Nope. Pups. My pups. Alright, sweetheart. Let's get you to bed. I will call Sue to come over."

I get to bed and my wonderful husband called Sue Clearwater, who's surprised the pups waited this long.. The new Shamen, not Quil, but Leah Clearwater, is chanting nearby.

Something about our next Chief needing some brains.

Several hours and pushes later, cries are heard through the small cottage.

Our next Chief, Sarah Renee was followed by William Charles.

Of course, Leah loved that our next chief was a girl.

As am I.

Jake says he gave me my Valentine's Day gift when he got me pregnant.

I am too tired to argue with him. Giving birth to twins is hard work.

Thankfully, both Sue and Leah smack him.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
