The Malfoy's. They are rich, have a remarkably high status, and are of a Sacred 28 bloodline. But this all had changed with Draco and Astoria. But, before we dive in, let's learn a little bit more about out main characters.

Draco Malfoy. He.. well, he was different than most expected. The Slytherins (his hogwarts house) expected a proper pure-blood of him, and that's what he acted like. But, should you get to know him, you would learn that he didn't really care about blood (pure, half, mud). He only pretended to care for his reputation. He was also really smart too.

Draco always said he didn't do his homework, and pretended to pay no attention in class. But in reality, he really did enjoy school, and did his best to be good at it. And on that note, Draco Malfoy would have been top of his class, had it not been for Granger. He was also a book worm. He spent every night in his dorm room studying, or reading books. Most of them classical, like Shakespeare. Despite having a bad past, Draco pushes past that and decided to become a healer at St. Mungos, where he has been working at for the past 16 years.

Astoria Greengrass was two years younger than him. He was in his third year when she was sorted into Slytherin, the same house as her older sister Daphne, and Draco himself. She was top of her class, with Ginny Weasley right behind her. She was pretty, and dated boys like Theodore Nott. She never had any long lasting relationships until Draco though.

Scorpius Malfoy was sorted into Slytherin, just like his parents. He's ticked his dad off a few times too. First, when he became friends with Albus, Harry Potter's son. Next, when he started dating Rose Weasley, Ron Weasley's eldest child, and only daughter. Rose and Scorpius had a Ron-Hermione relationship with their arguing, but unlike Ron, Scorpius never cheated off of Rose, since they were tied for top of their class. He was like his dad, a book worm, but he didn't hide it. He was only open to Albus and Rose, his best friends. He did have some issues at home though, like his moms condition. He would leave Hogwarts every weekend though, to visit his mom in the hospital. Every now and then, he brought Rose or Albus with him.

And, now that our main characters are introduced, why not get on with the story? I mean, you've waited long enough, haven't you?

beeeeeeeeep.

That one, little sound, that one beep, is the very thing that made Draco Malfoy's world come crashing down. That one little sound, stripped him of the one thing that gave his life meaning, a purpose. That one little sound, that one, little, beep, had destroyed Draco. Now, you're probably thinking, how it that sound so significant? Well, we might as well start from the beginning...

...Draco Malfoy and his wife, Astoria Greengrass got married on August 22, 2002. And have been happily married for the past 18 years. You also might be thinking, how are they happily married? Well, the answer is simple. Draco and Astoria, were in love. If you don't believe me, then here is proof. In 2001, when Draco and Astoria got engaged, Draco and his father Lucius Malfoy, had a huge fight.

Their fight was about one thing, Astoria. Even though Astoria was from the Greengrass family, a rich and noble pure blood family, Lucius didn't approve of Draco's choice of wife. Lucius believed that the Malfoy's needed an heir, but he thought that Astoria wouldn't be able to carry a child because of her malediction. Draco hasn't talked to his father since. But, four years later, Astoria proved Lucius wrong, having given birth to Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, on January 13, 2006. And, with the new addition to their family, Draco and Astoria were complete.

Draco and Astoria's parents never payed them much attention, giving the roles of raising their children to the house elves. But Draco and Astoria wanted to have a role in their sons life, choosing to spend their nights changing diapers, rather then going to social events. The Malfoy family spent every christmas opening presents together. They laughed, made jokes, and just had a generally good time. They had snow ball fights in the gardens, and watched muggle christmas movies (yes muggle movies) with peppermint hot chocolate.

Every summer Draco would treat his family to vacations. These vacations took place, in places such as Hawaii, or the Caribbean. Here they would build sandcastles at the beach, and get a nice tan. Or they would go shopping, getting souvenirs to take back to England.

And this surprised many people, since the only time their parents gave them any attention was to raise them as proper heirs. But, Draco and Astoria wanted their son to have a childhood he would remember fondly. Memories of fun times and sunshine, not classes of how to properly drink chamomile tea. Sure, they taught him how to be proper and use his manners, but they wanted him to be a kid.

It often surprised people of how closely knit the Malfoy family is. Most people expected that the Malfoy line needed an heir, which is why they had Scorpius. But in reality, Draco didn't want kids, cause it could possibly kill Astoria, even though she wanted kids. But in the end, she became pregnant with Scorpius, and they couldn't be happier.

The Malfoy's, though they were pure-bloods, wanted their son to get the best of both worlds. Up until Scorpius went to Hogwarts, he attended a muggle school. His parents bought him muggle books and clothes, and even let him visit famous muggle land marks when they travel. For example, for Scorpius's fifth birthday, the went to Paris where he visited the Eiffel Tower.

The family of three had a difficult time going out in public for many reasons. One of them being Draco's past. See, Draco was a death eater, which many people hated. Another reason, is rumors on Scorpius's parentage. Many believed that Scorpius wasn't Draco's son, but instead Voldemort's son! I mean, is that crazy or what?!

Draco and Astoria decided to take Scorpius to Diagon Alley, for his sixth birthday. While there, they got thrown dirty looks and insulted, which is to be expected. And they took it. Until, a shopkeeper brought up the rumors, and Draco snapped. He drew his wand on the man, and told him that if he ever, ever, insulted his family again, he would pay, dearly.

In fact, the rumors got so bad, after that incident, that Draco went to Harry Potters office (since he is head auror), got on his knees, and begged Harry to get the rumors to stop. Literally.

Despite the ups and downs, the Malfoy's were a happy family, and lived their lives normally. Until they couldn't.

By the time Scorpius was 12, Astoria was on full time bed rest, since she could barely eat without help. By the time he was 13, Astoria had become a full time patient in St. Mungos, after she suffered a seizure.

Ok, I get it. They had a great love story, a hero defies his father, so he can marry the women he loves! But, in the end, it didn't turn out so great. Sure, the family went through a lot, from being criticized, to rumors of there sons parentage. But, that doesn't mean things weren't good, they had many fun times together, the three of them. But, alas, all good things must come to a close.

The beep you heard in the beginning, came from Astoria's heart monitor, and it doesn't take a genius to know what that means. Astoria was gone. And now, Draco had to take the role of a single parent. Draco was never good with kids, but now, here he was, doing what his wife always did best. Draco never did consider himself strong, but he did his best to be, and keep it together for his sons sake, despite the tears running down his own face.

Right then and there, Draco made a decision. As he held his son in his arms, he made a vow, "I WILL make this right."
