Previously on "Kim Possible"

Kim: "I just…I just can't seem to come to terms with what is happening to me. The invasion, graduating from high school, going to college, it's just too much for me right now."

Father Morse: "If you are going to a college as prestigious as Brown University, you must prepare to give up something that no longer benefits you."

Ron: "If I quit crimefighting along with you, what message does that send those who look up to us?"

Kim: "We are going to have to get a good job to pay off the student loans."

Dr. Director's Secretary: "I have a Tony Stark on the line for you. Supposedly, he wants to recruit them as his personal bodyguards and he wants your blessing."

Julia: "Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable? Aren't these the two bodyguards you want us to have?"

Tony: "The last thing I want to have happen is you being put in harms way, Julia."

Anne: "These choices are never easy, Kimmie. But the older I get, the more I come to appreciate what I did."

Ron: "Who would be famous enough to hire bodyguards such as us?"

Tony: "We are the only ones who will keep them in the game and you know it."

"Kim Possible" Theme Song

As night fell on Los Angeles, Tony Stark arrived at LAX for his redeye flight to Washington, DC. He was determined to get Kim and Ron on his team for a variety of reasons, but the biggest reason was to keep them in the business they love as well as keep the ones he loved safe. Pulling up to the United Airlines ticket curb, he got out of his limo just as Julia and Jim were waiting for him.

"You took your time, Tony," Jim remarked as Tony walked towards him pulling his suitcase and noticing that Tony was grunting slightly. "What's in that suitcase, rocks?"

Laughing sarcastically, Tony led his friends into the terminal and made their way towards the ticket counter.

"Was it something I said?" Jim whispered to Julia, who nudged him in the side. "Just trying to lighten the mood a bit."

Running up to her boyfriend, Julia attempted to downplay her friend's bad remark.

"Sorry about that," Julia said as they approached the ticket counter. "Guess there's a time and a place for joking. Whatever the outcome is…"

"The outcome will go in our favor, Julia," Tony interrupted, his eyes on the check in kiosk. "Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable are going to stay in the field if I have anything to say about it. You are a mother, yourself. How would you feel if Rachel was in Ms. Possible's shoes?"

Shrugging her shoulders, Julia went over to another kiosk to check herself in. As she went through the process, Julia could only be thankful that her only child was not like Kim. But in her mind, she felt that Kim would be a good role model for her.

Checking their bags in, the three of them went to their gate and waited to board their United Airlines flight to Washington. Julia fidgeted with the gold pearl necklace around her neck which caught Tony's attention.

"Fidgeting with your necklace again, Chuckles?" Jim asked as he read a magazine. "Must be thinking about something of your own."

"Yes, Jim," Julia replied to her friend and colleague. "It's about Rachel. Ever since Larry and I divorced, she hasn't had a good role model in her life aside from myself. Do you think that Kim Possible…?"

"If she takes the position of being your bodyguard," her friend said, looking at her in the face. "Then perhaps you can work something out."

"I mean, Kim has been world renowned for her work as a crimefighter," Julia sighed, looking up at the airport's ceiling. "Rachel's just been an ordinary pre-teen, albeit being rebellious at times until she took up classical music."

Immediately, Jim got himself an idea into what Julia was looking for.

"You want Kim to be a big sister figure to Rachel, right?" he guessed and Julia silently nodded that he was indeed right. "Then I guess there is more riding than a simple interview, isn't there?"

Julia said nothing but absorbed what had been said. In her mind, there was more than just hiring bodyguards that was on the table.

Meanwhile, Kim and Ron both spent the rest of the day seeking out possible bodyguard job openings. But, by the time that nightfall came, it was next to impossible. Groaning, Kim laid down in her bed looking up at the ceiling of her bedroom. Hearing her kimmunicator buzzing, she grabbed it off of her nightstand and answered it.

"Let me guess," she said to Ron on the small screen. "No luck?"

"No luck, KP," he remarked, displaying dark circles under his eyes. "Rufus and I searched everywhere and nothing aside from Stark's job opening came up. Maybe it could be a sign or something that we are destined to join forces with Tony Stark."

"I hope so, Ron," Kim moaned. "But if all else fails, at least I can work at that fish factory Mr. Barkin offered to me."

But Ron saw things differently.

"Hey, no girlfriend of mine is going to work in a fish factory," he declared in a tired voice with an equally determined, but tired look on his face. "We'll find something that matches our passions. We just gotta keep trying right, Rufus?"

Turning his camera over to the naked mole rat, Rufus gave Kim two thumbs up, causing her to chuckle slightly and drop her frustration for a brief moment.

"When all else fails," Kim said with a small, but tired smile. "Let Rufus brighten your spirits."

"Hey, I don't like to see someone like you give up," Ron said, turning the Kimmunicator back onto him. "I love you, Kim."

Making a kissing motion to each other, Kim and Ron said their good nights and went to sleep, hoping that something was going to come their way. Could it be possibly working as bodyguards for Tony Stark or somebody else?

Only time would tell for the both of them.

The next morning, United Airlines Flight 411 arrived at Washington/Dulles International Airport from Los Angeles and immediately, Tony, Julia and Jim exited the plane and immediately set their sights on Global Justice Headquarters. Getting into a limo, they departed Dulles Airport while trying to shake off their uncomfortable night's sleep.

"Sleep well?" he asked them.

"Unless if you like sleeping while sitting," Jim groaned, rotating his neck back and forth while sitting in between of Tony and Julia. "Why couldn't we fly with someone else? I can't stand United sometimes."

"Just focus on the task at hand, Jim," Tony reminded, taking a sip of bottled water silencing his company's security chief and vice president. "Besides, you said you wanted to save a little bit of money, didn't you? Flying economy plus over first or business class."

A slightly embarrassed look came onto Jim's face upon hearing this.

"Touche," he muttered. "Remind me to never go cheap again."

"Mr. Stark," asked the driver. "This Global Justice, you are aware they moved to the National Mall, yes?"

"To a small office in the FBI building?" Tony answered. "Yes, I'm aware of that. You're going to the Hoover building."

"You never told us that, Tony," remarked Julia, looking over at Tony.

"Because I got the news last night before I left for the airport," Tony answered, taking his phone out of his pocket and showing it to Julia and Jim. "You see?"

"If you say so," Julia said as Tony took his phone away from her and a little while later, the limo pulled up in front of the J. Edgar Hoover building. Exiting the limo, the three heads of Stark Enterprises made their way into the building's lobby.

"All right," Tony declared. "Let's get Kim Possible on Team Stark."

In her office, Dr. Director was thinking about the call her secretary received the day before. In her mind, she felt that Tony Stark was trying to steal Kim and Ron away from her. Now, she was beginning to get a second opinion of what was being offered.

"What if Stark isn't trying to rip Agents Possible and Stoppable away?" she thought to herself as she sat behind her desk. "What if he is trying to keep them in the field and being bodyguards is only part of the deal?"

Leaning forward at her desk, Dr. Director could only wonder what was about to come out of something like this.

"It can be so hard to figure out Tony Stark sometimes," she wondered in a low voice. "What is he planning for them?"

Just then, there was a knock at the door and Dr. Director's secretary opened it.

"Dr. Director?" she asked her superior. "They are here to see you."

"Who?"

"Tony Stark, Julia Carpenter and James Rhodes," the secretary answered and Dr. Director motioned for her to let them in her office. Stepping into the office, Tony and his colleagues were hopeful that all that would transpire would go well.

"Mr. Stark," Dr. Director said, rising to her feet and shaking his hand. "You wanted to see me about Agents Possible and Stoppable, yes?"

"Why else would we have flown across the country in one night?" he chuckled as Dr. Director gestured for them to sit down at her desk. "Not to take in the scenery, of course. I hope we aren't bothering you in any way."

Sitting back down at her desk, Dr. Director took a deep breath and prepared to enter these negotiations as she had always done in the past.

"No, no, not at all," she said with a slightly nervous look on her face. "Actually, I think you are intending to bring Agents Possible and Stoppable into your team, but not in the way I thought you would go."

This caused the three guests in front of Dr. Director to give each other a worried set of glances.

"Um, Dr. Director…" Tony started to say, only to be silenced with a hand to his face from Dr. Director.

"Call me Betty," she replied.

"Okay…Betty."

"I know what you are going to say," she explained. "That you want Agents Possible and Stoppable as your personal bodyguards, but that you want them to keep working for us on a part time basis, right?"

"Forgive me if you can, Doc…er…Betty," stammered Jim. "But we never intended in any way to steal your two top agents from you."

"You see," Tony said, taking over the conversation. "I'm sure you are familiar with company mergers and acquisitions, yes?"

"Of course, Mr. Stark," Dr. Director answered. "I am sure…"

"Call me Tony," Tony interrupted, channeling Dr. Director's worse. "And call them Julia and Jim."

"Touche," whispered Dr. Director taking somewhat of a hint of amusement to Tony. "Touche, Mr. Stark."

As she studied her three guests, Dr. Director had a hunch that Tony Stark wasn't what she had made him out to be. In fact, Dr. Director could see that there was a future for Global Justice and Stark Enterprises that would go far more than just the future of her two best agents.

Rising from her bed, Kim made her way down to breakfast knowing that in a few short days, she would be on her way to Brown University.

"Sleep well, Kimmie cub?" her father James asked his daughter as she walked into the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee.

"You might say that, dad," Kim yawned, focused on making the coffee. "Haven't really been finding any jobs for me and Ron."

"The bodyguard jobs?" James asked. "I mean, you would make good as a bodyguard. You've got the moves for it, Kim. What does Ronald think?"

"He's on board because we both intend to work together as bodyguards," Kim replied, looking over at her father. "I mean…the student loans. They aren't cheap and that's why I need to work for some celebrity who needs bodyguards."

"Why not the mayor of Providence or the governor of Rhode Island?" James suggested. "I'm sure one of them could use bodyguards."

"No, no," Kim replied, shooting down her father's suggestion as she made her way over to the breakfast table. "That would take too much of my time, dad. With my classes and such, it would be impossible."

"But they would pay well."

"Yes, but again, I'm trying to seek a good work life balance, like you and mom do."

Taking a sip of his coffee, James understood his daughter's point. Even if she was seeking to continue her career as a crimefighter, she still needed to have the balance she already had.

"True, Kim. For a young woman of your age, you've certainly accomplished the work life balance you've already built in for yourself," remarked James just as Anne came downstairs. "Ah, Kim and I were talking about work life balances."

"I'm sure you were," Anne laughed as she sat next to her husband. "If you want my best work life balance advice…just adjust it slightly. I mean, you're going to need a job that can allow you to study and do other college based activities. Of course, there is always school related activities you can do like cheerleading."

"I think I might be a little too old for cheerleading," Kim remarked with a slightly embarrassed look on her face. "Cheerleading is so high school for me."

"You can always cheerlead in college," suggested James. "College sports team are always looking for cheerleaders just like the pros are."

"Maybe," Kim promised, taking a sip of her coffee. "But, I can't just pretend like I'm still in high school. I'm about to go into college and I'm going to be in a college environment, so I've got to adapt."

Taking a sip of her coffee, Kim looked down at her Kimmunicator and looked over what she needed to get done for the day.

"In fact, Monique and I are heading over to the mall for some last minute college shopping," she said. "I've got to get a few more nice clothes and other stuff."

"What did you have in mind?" Anne asked.

"I think I might start wearing more dresses and skirts," Kim answered. "I'm trying to look more feminine."

Both James and Anne gave each other slightly worried glances at what their daughter was planning to do for her own image.

"This isn't because of Ron, right?" James asked, much to Kim's chagrin.

"No, I just want to look nice for being in an Ivy League school," Kim answered with a raised eyebrow. "Besides, I might need some nice clothes for missions and possibly becoming a bodyguard."

Finishing her coffee, Kim made her way out of the kitchen.

"Now, I gotta shower before Monique picks me up," Kim said to her parents. Once Kim was gone, James and Anne were left to deal with the oncoming effects of empty nest syndrome.

"Kimberly Anne Possible," James said to himself. "You certainly are growing up more and more every day."

Back in Washington, Dr. Director continued to try and understand the request that Tony Stark was planning for her two best agents and possibly Global Justice as a whole.

"Tony," Dr. Director said, twiddling a pencil on her desk. "If you say that you and your colleagues don't want to steal Agents Possible and Stoppable away from Global Justice, then I believe you."

"Of course not," Tony replied. "You see, lately I've become concerned for the safety of myself and my girlfriend here."

"Indeed," remarked Dr. Director, taking in what Tony had said. "You two must care for one another."

"It's more than that," Tony said, reaching into his suit coat pocket and pulling out a picture of a red haired woman wearing a gold mask. "Who do you see in this picture?"

"Tony," Julia whispered upon seeing the woman's picture on her desk. "I don't think that…"

"Let me say this, Julia," Tony interrupted, holding his hand in front of his girlfriend. "This is Whitney Frost, a former girlfriend of mine. A while back, she kidnapped Julia and tortured her in front of me. Ever since then, I've been fearing for her safety, as well as my own."

Sighing deeply, Julia once again began twiddling around her gold pearl necklace.

"Forgive me for going into any details," Dr. Director asked, looking over at Julia with a concerned look on her face. "But how do you feel about this, Julia?"

Briefly looking down at her blue high heeled shoes, Julia took a gulp and couldn't help but feel the electricity gripping her body that moment in Egypt when Tony was forced to comply with Whitney Frost's demands.

"Honestly…" Julia said with a slight hesitation in her voice. "I can understand where Tony is coming from. We've talked about this plenty of times before. In fact, I once had a nightmare where Whitney goes beyond torturing me."

Sitting back in her chair, Dr. Director immediately couldn't help but feel sympathetic for Stark's Chief Operating Officer.

"She…forced me to…" she started to say, only for Tony to touch her hand.

"Whitney forced Julia to humiliate herself in front of me," he started to say. "I watched it all play out on a mind reading system. Without going into details, of course."

"Of course, Tony," Dr. Director said. "You care for your COO and your staff just as much as I care for my agents."

For a moment, Dr. Director considered the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It was apparent that there was a vulnerability about her guests that needed to be addressed greatly. But, there was something else involved.

"What about your company's mascot?" she asked. "What about Iron Man?"

Rising from his seat, Tony motioned for Dr. Director to follow him over to the suitcase he had brought into her office. Opening the suitcase, Dr. Director gasped in shock at what she was seeing before her eyes! She was looking at the red and yellow iron armor that made Iron Man who he was.

"Are you…?" Dr. Director gasped, only for Tony to nod silently to her.

"Yes," he answered. "I am Iron Man and my Chief Operating Officer…"

Nodding at Julia, Tony watched as Julia rolled up the sleeves of her suit jacket to reveal a pair of web slingers underneath.

"You must be…"

"I am," Julia answered. "I am Spider Woman."

"And I am War Machine," Jim added. "The actors you see playing your favorite characters on news television, that's us."

Not believing what she was hearing or seeing, Dr. Director was stunned and trying to come to terms with what was happening. She was in the presence of the three alter egos of Earth's greatest heroes.

"You…you are…" she stammered. "You're Iron Man…you're Spider Woman…you're War Machine. You used to be members of Force Works, aren't you?"

"We used to," Jim answered, trying to not think about the moment that Force Works split apart for good. "We came back together once to defeat the Mandarin, but that was it."

"But, can't you just defend yourselves if you are those characters?" Dr. Director stammered.

"We can't without exposing our true identities," Tony said. "If the cat was let out of the bag, both our professional and personal lives would be ruined. So you see why we need to have bodyguards."

Having been convinced, Dr. Director went back to her desk and proceeded to speak into the intercom to her secretary.

"Get me Agents Possible and Stoppable at once," she said in a nervous voice. "I think I understand now why you need them as your bodyguards."

Doing as she was told, the secretary proceeded to contact Kim and Ron while Dr. Director continued to absorb the feeling of what was in front of her.

In due time, her two top agents would be meeting Iron Man himself!
