Author's Note: Nancy next! Reading through her article on the wiki (which I helped build pulling from the books lol), she seemed pretty easy to write. I have her job a life a little glamorous but mostly normal. She also read a little old fashioned with enjoying classical music and such so I capitalized on that some. Also I kind of pictured an older Nancy looking like Laura Spencer (redhead Emily in Big Bang Theory/Jane Bennett in The Lizzie Bennett Diaries).

Let me know what you think and please review!

On the screen in front of her laptop, Nancy Jane Gianelli (nee Dawes) had quadruple checked her work. Editing was done and then she would be able to post and then promote the video via her instagram account. The camera equipment was turned off and the editing system up and running. She checked the beginning part of her video once more.

"Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. My name is Nancy in case you're new here. Today's content is a bit different then I normally do."

She paused it on her face happily about to go into the tour of her sewing room and production stuff. Then held the baby monitor up to her ear. Yep that was some whimpering that got progressively louder and ran up to check on the baby. In his little cradle Isaac was sobbing about being hungry.

"Come here," she said picking him up and went to feed him the old-fashioned way.

By now she was used to this with her two oldest next door in the neighborhood play group. In a way she was really grateful that Laura Perkins was getting her teaching the degree and created the group to get experience. She glanced at the clock on the wall and noted that Bobby would be home in about a half hour. Which meant getting dinner prepared. Gently she rocked him back to sleep and then bound down the steps.

First was to upload her video. Her YouTube channel ClassicallyNancy had a new video once a week and today was the day to do it. She usually posted about vintage things, like clothes or make up or breaking down what wasn't historically accurate in historical movies. It was fun to do that last part. In a way she was always a little old fashioned. Nancy was sewing her doll clothes, playing piano for fun, and liked to listen to classical music at 7. By 13 she made her own Bat Mitzvah dress. In a way it was perfect since it also let her use her drama degree for the small skits she'd do sometimes.

Then submit her articles for Parents Magazine, which she worked from home full time now. Part of her wished that she still worked at the library, but she wouldn't be at home with her kids.

Nancy hesitated to wonder if she should use the record player to play music or use her phone. Then decided to play Taylor Swift's Folklore on vinyl. It was nice to use all her mom's old records again after sitting in the attic for so long.

Humming to herself she went over to the kitchen ready to prepare dinner. The pulled chicken ready to take out of the slow cooker. Then started on the green beans with baked mac and cheese. The mac and cheese just needed to be heated up.

"That smells good, want me to set the table?" asked Bobby coming in through the back door.

"It's okay I got it, did you…"

Before she could finish the sentence, Aaron and Eliza bounded into the room after slipping their shoes off. Her five and two (sorry two and a half) year olds ran into the living room to watch a rerun of something on Disney Junior.

"Bring the kids home?"

"Yea, I still don't know why you don't want my help," he asked turning off the record player.

"Because I'm home all day and you know how perfectionistic I can be. I'd go behind you and do it again."

He just rolled his eyes but grabbed the leash off the hook next to the door. She shook her head, despite loving the help she didn't need it today.

"I'm going to walk Thor," he said referring to their lazy border collie that jumped at hearing his name.

"Already done."

This time she smirked at him and he just sighed. She was a super mom and could do almost anything, at least today, she thought knowing how great of a mood she woke up in.

"I can name one thing you haven't done yet and that's kiss your husband."

Bobby had that firm gaze in his brown eyes and had pulled her close. Nancy had flushed as the skirt of her dress fluttered behind her. Bobby had leaned in and kissed her, and she had eagerly kissed back. His hands ran through and pulled red hair out of its high ponytail.

"You know how long it took to get my hair like that," she muttered into his ear.

"You know how much I love to take your hair out of it."

A slight chill ran down her spine as she kissed him back her arms tightly going around his broad shoulders. His grip tightened around her waist before there was a beep behind them. That was the baked mac and cheese that she had just made.

Sighing she looked at herself in the hall mirror and fluffed her red hair up and found a clip to do a half up and down look. In a way it looked better with her 50s inspired almond colored dress with the light green leaves all over it. It's ruffled neckline still showed with her hair done differently and lacy bottom.

"I'll get that," he said ducking behind her. "We'll take it from here darling."

The way he said that reminded her of how the muses started the first song in the Disney Hercules movie. Bobby even looked like he surprised himself by saying it.

"Darling?"

"This is what I get for watching Hercules on repeat," he said throwing his arms in the air frustrated at how much he heard it.

"No, I like the nickname! Go ahead and finish setting up for dinner, I'll get the kids washed up and…"

Bobby was shaking his head no again. "I got it, sit back and relax some."

At this point she could just admire his confidence and stubbornness that he somehow retained all these years later. She sat back and watched as Aaron, her five-year-old, picked up his toys and ran to set the table. Eliza was waving around a toy and Thor had ran to catch it and give it back to her. Nancy looked up at their TV to see Hercules playing on the tv. This was just the first time watching it today.

Things were quiet while she picked up her cell phone and checked everything. The articles would be posted in the next issue and online next week. Plus, she had five comments already on her video so she could respond to those. Then her phone went off with a message from Karen.

Lunch next week sometime?

Nancy opened her calendar and checked just to see that everything would be early those days.

Dinner okay?

Perfect.

Despite not talking to Karen much they were still friendly with each other, even friends online. Her mother was still friends with Lisa. She and Karen talked from time to time since they lived next to each other for so long.

"Dinner," said Aaron rushing out of the kitchen and pulled at her hand.

She picked up Eliza and started toward the kitchen. This was her life now as she brushed Eliza's red hair out of her face and grabbed the baby monitor. Next up was to beat Bobby at the next level in their video game later.
