"It's done now, Majin Buu is no more,"

Goten and Trunks stood in front of their mothers the way a lioness shielded her cubs. They didn't know who Tai was, and they wouldn't risk anything until they knew if he was hostile. The others were stunned. Buu had been the Earth's greatest threat and he was not only dominated but he was destroyed; by this young man who had appeared out of nowhere, dressed in a strange kind of Saiyan armour.

"Who's that?" Goten asked.

No one answered the boy, for they were in too much shock. They all heard Piccolo call his name, but they suddenly found their ears untrustworthy. His halo and his hair confirmed it, and none could believe it.

"Shenron said it was beyond his power," Yamcha whispered.

"I don't believe my eyes," Roshi said.

"Am I the only one weirded out that I can't sense his energy," Krillin added. Though that was true, they could still feel the immense pressure he brought with him. It made it harder to breathe, especially while this high in the air.

"What did you call him, Piccolo?" Trunks asked. "You know him, don't you?"

The Namek was silent, arms folded tight and eyes trained on Tai, who hadn't moved a muscle since killing Buu. Well, I guess all the training the boys did was for nothing, He mentally complained.

"Hey is someone gonna answer us!" Goten shouted, and that made Tai turn to them.

When Bulma saw his face, she put a hand over her own. It is him! He's really here, she thought, finally letting the swell of emotion take her. Her tears were plentiful, and her sobs were deep, soon she didn't even have strength to stay on her feet. Trunks caught his mother and tried to make her stop crying but nothing would. This was 7 long years of pain and regret finally let go.

"Is that Tai?" Videl asked "It is... why is he wearing that get-up."

Chi-Chi craned her head over 18 to look at Videl, "You know him?"

"Yeah, he goes to my school"

"For how long"

"He was only with us for a month. I haven't seen him since he got suspended a couple of weeks ago"

That did make Bulma stop crying. Trunks let her go and backed into Goten with fear. Bulma glared at the Earth's guardian with determined eyes.

Dende didn't like the heat of her glare and asked "What?"

"You expect me to believe he was here for 2 months and neither of you knew about it?" Bulma said.

"Bulma."

"How could you not tell me."

"The situation is complicated," Piccolo interjected and Bulma turned her fury to the bigger Namekian.

"I know how to build interstellar spaceships, rooms that control gravity, capsules that can compress any form of matter and in the future, I can build a freaking time machine. Those are complicated, this is simple."

Sweat poured down Piccolo's forehead while he regarded the petite woman. Why is it that the wives of Saiyans are more intimidating than the Saiyans themselves?

"Answer me Piccolo!"

He felt Tai's energy signature beside him, and it was overwhelming. Tai's energy triggered a breathlessness like he'd never experienced before, but then it was gone, yet Tai remained. "It's okay, I can speak for myself."

"And you!" Bulma exclaimed, stabbing her finger into Tai's chest, and for the first time, Videl watched Tai wince "How could you think it's okay to spend even a second in the same universe as me, and not see me. I have been worried sick about you," she said slowly wrapping her arms around him "I was scared that I would never see you again and yet here you are. Have you just been avoiding me these past few years? What did I do…? Why…" it wasn't long before her passion turned into tears, and words could never express the tsunami of emotions that she threw her mental state like a rag doll.

Tai felt her grip around him tighten while tears and mascara stained his divine clothing, right on his Hakaishin symbol. He knew her grip was weak to a Saiyan, but something about it felt unbreakable, is she this strong, or am I this weak… or is this hold making me weak?

Tai could feel Piccolo's mental link pressing his subconscious and waited for the Namekian to speak "It's a lot harder to go when you know what you're leaving behind isn't it?"

"Shut up," Tai uttered so quietly only Namekian could hear.

He could remember first coming into her care as a child. When they got back from Namek, she offered him a place to stay which he took, it wasn't like he had other options. With Vegeta jetting off into space, Tai didn't know anyone. He barely knew Gohan or Piccolo and Krillin was dead. Bulma's efforts with him made this easier for him.

"I couldn't come back," Tai said. "I assume Buu killed Vegeta… unfortunate," then Bulma's hold over him tightened and Trunks' power spiked slightly.

"Yeah, but we're gonna wish Dad back with the dragon balls," Trunks argued.

"He's already been wished back by the Earth's dragon. Piccolo, about Namek- "

"I know" Piccolo interrupted tersely

When I took Cell away from Earth, I took him to the only other world I knew I could find. I didn't have time to think. The Namekians didn't know what happened to them.

"So what?"

Tai looked at the adults around him and the shame was clear on all their faces. "None of you told him," and their silence was damning.

"Told me what?"

"The dragon can't resurrect the same person twice. It's why Kakarot remains dead."

"You're lying!"

"Relax Trunks," Tai sighed, noting the possessive stare aimed at his mother's arms around Tai's body, and then he eased out of Bulma's embrace. "I need to go, but I'll do what I can to fix this mess. My predecessor should have dealt with Buu and didn't, so this is partly my responsibility"

"No, you can't go… you just came back," Bulma pleaded.

"Don't worry Bulma, things will get better. You don't have to wait long; and Chi-Chi."

"Yes," Chi-Chi replied

"Gohan's alive, I was just with him and Kakarot" Tai said and observed how her face lit up as well as Videl's. "He'll be back shortly and so will everyone else."

Tai flew back to Yunzabit Heights before calling for Kibito. He couldn't stand being around Bulma any longer. It brought back feelings that were unbefitting of a Destroyer. Upon returning to the Sacred Realm of the Kai's he announced, "Majin Buu is destroyed, he'll never be an issue again."

"What… that quickly," Supreme Kai said, trying not to trip over.

Elder Kai shook his head at his successor, "Destroyers have strength beyond anything you could ever imagine."

"Clearly."

"Supreme Kai," Tai called for his undivided attention "Anything ever endangers you again, inform me immediately. We'll share a life-link soon, and I refuse to die because of a weakling"

"That's quite enough, my Lord," Whis frowned.

"Hn."

"I can't believe it's finally over," Supreme Kai exhaled.

"We have waited millions of years for this day, my Lord," Kibito said.

"I wish we could have saved the trillions of lives Buu has taken."

"Well, your job is creating life. Get to work," Tai scoffed

"With my treasured guidance of course," Elder Kai added.

"Of course, Elder. First, I'll take Gohan back to Earth and then we can begin," Supreme Kai said bowing to his predecessor.

The sudden disturbance in Gohan's Ki didn't escape Tai's notice and he observed the father and son exchange goodbyes "Well son, I guess this is it."

"Dad…"

"Make your father proud son. You've done a great job watching over Chi-Chi and Goten."

"Thanks Dad."

"I wish there were a way I could go with you."

"There is," Tai replied in deadpan with his arms folded.

"You better not be joking, Tai," Gohan threatened, making the Kai's blanch. To their surprise, the Destroyer took it in stride.

"Whis before we leave, I have two things to ask of you"

"I think I know what you're going to ask?" his master replied nonchalantly.

"OK, then can you do his one now. You can tell he's pure hearted and the Universe can only benefit from having him around."

"That's a lot of praise, especially from you Lord Tai."

"Will you do it or not?"

Whis nodded before twirling his staff at dizzying speed and pointing it at Goku. He felt a warmth run down is body from his head to his toes and then his halo vanished.

"Thank you, Whis. And don't worry, I won't make a habit of asking for this."

"Tai, what did you do?" Goku asked while flexing his biceps and coming to terms with the strange feeling of having a body again.

"Nothing, that was all Whis. Hurry home Kakarot, your family is waiting for you."

"Thanks, Tai."

"Whis, we have one more stop before we can head back."

Tai wasn't fully certain that Whis was going to the correct place, until he spotted snake way below them. It was just as Goku had described to him all those years ago, down to the yellow clouds. There was a queue of small, white clouds leading to a great building attended by strange looking people.

"So, this is it, I thought it would be bigger," Tai mumbled before another person ran frantically across their view with heaps of paper flying out of his hands. "And better run."

"I don't think they're used to this kind of demand," Whis noted the huge queue of souls stretching far beyond Tai's sightline. "Majin Buu is thorough I'll give it that. This looks like an entire planet's population his here."

"With people like Frieza around, they should have been prepared for something like this."

"Tai, in Universe 2 billion people die per Earth year. This check in station has just had 7 billion show up in a second. I think we can cut them some slack."

Some of the workers tried to stop Tai from cutting in line but were frozen by his glare. Soon they stood in front of a gigantic, red skinned, horned ogre in a purple suit. He was reading a book of souls, still unaware as to the pair's presence. That was until Tai loudly cleared his throat.

"Who the hell is," King Yemma began until he saw the insignia on Tai's chest. Did Beerus visit everyone except for the Supreme Kai? "Oh, I'm sorry my Lord," King Yemma stammered while scrambling to get his desk in order.

"Relax Yemma, you're safe from me," Tai assured, but it did nothing to calm the Judge.

"To what do we owe this honour, Lord Destroyer."

"I understand many earthling souls have passed through recently."

"Yes… well you see Majin Buu- "

"Is no more." Tai interrupted, uninterested in what was sure to be incoherent excuses. "I took care of it personally, so your job should be easier."

"Thank you, my Lord."

Tai ignored the praise and continued, "I'm here with regards to a Saiyan that recently passed through."

"Saiyan?"

"Yes Saiyan. It's not like there's many of us to cause such a reaction."

King Yemma flipped through the Book of Souls frantically. On a normal day that would have been child's play, but the added workload had strained his mind considerably. "Oh, you mean Vegeta. Nasty one that guy. He may have died heroically, but he's done too much evil in his life. Unfortunately for him, he almost did enough good to erase the evil in his soul."

Tai scowled at the news, but he wasn't surprised. He'd seen how the Prince revelled in the suffering he'd caused under Frieza and his selfishness during the Cell debacle.

"Has he been processed yet?"

"Not yet, as you can see, we're quite busy at the moment, and the soul cleansing machine is working slowly."

"Good, bring him to me."

"What?" King Yemma said, and Tai could see Whis shake his head in his periphery.

"You have an awfully bad habit of making me repeat myself, you know that," Tai said through narrowed eyes and a sneer. When King Yemma finally finished squirming he started yelling at his assistants to fulfil Tai's wish.

"One time only, I promise," Tai said to Whis, but his attendant didn't reply.

Soon, a bodiless soul was brought before him that Tai had to assume was Vegeta' s.

"Give him back his body," Tai demanded

"My Lord, that's not how it- "

"That wasn't a request Yemma," then with a bang of his gavel, Vegeta took shape. He looked exactly how Tai remembered.

"What's going on?" The Saiyan Prince asked, trying to take in his surroundings.

"Good to see you Prince Vegeta,"

Vegeta faced Tai and it took mere seconds recognition to fill his eyes "Well I must really be screwed if I'm face to face with someone who doesn't exist."

"Beg your pardon."

"I figured you were killed in the afterlife and ceased to exist. It would explain why the dragon couldn't revive you."

"I'm not so weak that I'd lose to someone in this place," Tai replied raising his power, and he could see Vegeta approve.

"Well, if that's the case then, where am I?"

"Other world, but not for long."

Vegeta spotted Whis and immediately jumped into a defensive stance. He then transformed into a Super Saiyan 2, showing Tai a power greater than Gohan had against Cell. The Prince then scanned the environment frantically searching for someone.

"Where is he?"

"Who?"

"Beerus!" Vegeta growled.

Seriously did he visit everyone but the one person who he needs to work with! Tai thought annoyedly. This kind of carelessness is how evil like Frieza goes unchecked.

"He's asleep. I'll explain everything on our way back to Earth. Whis?"

"As you wish my Lord," and then he began twirling his staff.
