Author's Note: This is for the fans of the Little Sister and the Kids in Ms. Colman's Class books. Otherwise at least there's an appearance of Kristy and of Karen and Buddy! I also cherry picked some of the more popular students. Nobody probably really remembers Chris Lamar but probably knows Pamela. There is a point of view switch about a quarter of the way in also Ms. Colman's first name is Jean, so she'll go between the two names. There's a light use of OC's since I'm crossing generations here. Lindsay, Lucy Daniels and Ricky Morrison are the only original characters. Everyone else was in the books and the Here comes the bride part were in the little sister books.

Enjoy the chapter!

Kristy Thomas stood at the front of the room with Adelaide "Addie" Sydney and Buddy Barrett. Her brown eyes wide at the sheer amount of people that had RSVP'd. Addie just looked proud and Buddy looked nervous.

"Maybe we should have had the party at the gym or in the cafeteria," said Buddy bluntly.

"But she taught in this classroom for 31 years, we have to do it here," said Addie brightly. "As her former student and event planner I'm thinking it's working out. Mr. Berger's old classroom is where we can keep the presents and set up the buffet up. Then we can keep the door between the two doors open."

"Now you're thinking," said Kristy smartly. "You know my brother said your classmates missed you at SES. I bet they were happy to have you and your wisdom back at the high school."

Addie giggled and nodded her head. She had transferred from SES to Ms. Colman's class in second grade. She reunited with most of her friends by the time they went to high school, opting for a public school again. It was odd to see them after so long, but it was high school so finding them again was fun. In fact a lot of her old classmates seemed to split between SHS and Stoneybrook Day School.

"I just wonder how these two rooms will hold all those people," said Buddy. "We have students from the past 31 years and our own faculty."

"Hey, the school is empty," pointed out Kristy. "Classes don't start until tomorrow so if it's necessary we can move it."

Addie nodded before heard a shout.

"She's coming," said Nancy Gianelli from the door. "Is everyone here?"

"Nope," said a boy named Lindsay. Addie thought that he was from Ms. Colman's first class thirty-one years ago. Wow, she would have to stop and talk to him. "We'll just make do."

Down the hall Ms. Jean Colman could hear all the talking already. She had retired over the summer wanting to make her exit from Stoneybrook Academy quiet. Despite that plan, Kristy wanted to throw her a party. Thirty-one years of teaching second grade in the same room was something she could never do.

"Ms. Colman!" said Pamela Harding with her daughter next to her.

"Hi Ms. Colman!" said Addie wheeling herself over to the teacher. "As you can probably tell we have a party for you already in full swing. Can I get you a plate of food? The Gianelli's brought in fried chicken. Remember Bobby? He and Nancy Dawes got married."

"Yes, Addie it's so great to see you," she said bending down and hugging the wheelchair bound girl. "What are you up to?"

"Oh, I'm an event planner full time. I'm not married or have kids yet though," she said eyes bright. "I actually helped find your old students and made some decorating decisions. We have ten people from my class here alone. You'll be surprised to see how many people remember you. I'll go and get you a plate and you can talk around a bit."

At the mention of decorations, Ms. Jean Colman saw that the pictures of her classes were on the walls. It was of themselves and her in second grade. Her favorite color on the streamers and even a few art pieces that they did at the time. This was simply amazing.

Jean turned around and noticed a lot of familiar faces.

"Is that Lucy Daniels?" she said looking at a familiar auburn-haired girl.

"Ms. Colman!" said the woman turning and hugging her. "Actually, it's Lucy Morrison now."

"As in Ricky Morrison?" she said looking surprised. Ricky Morrison was another student who shared the same class with her. The two often fought and had to be separated. To her surprise Lucy nodded a blush on her cheeks.

"Yea, we ended up in the same intro to sociology class in college," she said. "And we just hit it off. It's kind of cool. We're the first pair of students in your classes to get married."

So, she's heard Lucy and Ricky were from her very early years of teaching. Ricky had joined his wife and they talked a few minutes before Jean found herself wandering around the room. She could hear Bobby Gianelli and Ricky Torres were reminiscing about football games when they went all the way to state. A few people talking about what they did as a class.

"I still remember going to the zoo for the first time," said Audrey Green. "We had displays of our animal sculptures there."

"They still have them," said Jean hugging each student. "You can always get them back if you want."

"I wish I went but I had that flu ravaging our class at the time," said Jannie Lamar (nee Gilbert). "I'm glad that you got me that book."

"It was my pleasure dear," said Jean as a hand tapped her shoulder. Addie had given her a plate of food with a little of everything from the buffet set up in the other room. "Thank you, Addie."

"MS. COLMAN!" shouted Karen Brewer from across the room. She could hear her before she saw her.

The blond had practically thrown herself onto the teacher. She just gave her a tight hug unable to believe she was still holding her plate. They had steadied themselves as Karen beamed.

"Hi Karen."

They two chatted for a minute and Jean met her husband Jackie. It was so good to see her and share some memories. It wasn't hard to get her post school career out in the open. In fact, Karen spilled all the beans on her former classmates that she hadn't spoken to yet. Like Ricky Torres was a teacher at the high school, married his college sweetheart, and had two daughters. Pamela Harding was the weather woman in Hartford and that she had just gotten divorced. Natalie Springer lived in Nebraska and couldn't be here. Audrey and Tammy were both single and that they would look cute together and…

"Karen, I think I need to go talk to Kristy okay?"

"Okay, it's so great seeing you! You know despite all my years of schooling, you're still my favorite teacher."

"Thank you, that's very nice to hear."

Jean smiled and headed over to talk to Kristy. She stopped to talk to Mr. Berger and one of the secretaries in the office. And found Kristy, she seemed to thrive in the hustle and bustle helping Buddy organize the table of presents. Oh wow, she got a lot of wrapped goodies. Jean coughed and made herself known.

"This has been an amazing party," she said. "I talked so many of my former students and friends here. Would you care if I make a small speech?"

"Of course, Jean," said Kristy warmly and stopped the music that was playing in the background. Everyone had stopped and turned to look at them.

"Well," said Ms. Colman, Jean, looking at all the familiar faces. "I just want to say thank you for making all of these years teaching memorable and wonderful. I'm glad to see that my former students remember me, and I've helped you grow into amazing people. I still remember when one of my classes learned to play Here Comes the Bride to me for when I got married. All the artwork decorating these very same walls for years. This year I'm retiring to spend time with my daughter who just got married and help her with her family. You are part of my family too and if you ever need me, I'm here for you."

An applause filled the room as she felt a warm feeling fill her chest. Kristy gave her a thumbs up and she could see Bobby, Ricky, Pamela, and Nancy rush to talk to her next.

Everyone around them started talking again and rushing up to wish her congratulations and well wishes. Honestly what a way to retire.
