Izaya groaned as his head lolled. He had a headache as soon he started to wake and he just wanted to go back to sleep. However, he knew he couldn't. He knew he was moving. He could feel the inertia of movement even though his limbs were limp. He forced his eyes open. He watched as orange lights passed over his head.

Izaya jolted. He immediately knew something was extremely wrong. He couldn't raise his arms or legs. A quick tug confirmed what he assumed, that his wrists were bound at his side. His ankles were bound in a similar fashion. He quickly looked down at himself. He was lying on a rusted gurney, a strap over his chest, stomach, and upper thighs. There were padlocks around each leather strap. He wasn't going to be able to get out like this without a lockpick. He didn't have any bobbi pins or paperclips on him, so he'd have to just brute force it. But how could he possibly brute force padlocks? He wasn't Shizuo.

Izaya clenched his teeth hard and let his head read against the table. He quickly looked around to see the two men in leather mining attire and gas masks, the ones from S12, were the ones carting the gurney down the hall. One was at his feet and the other was above his head.

Izaya tugged on his restraints, clenching his teeth as he glared up at the men. They looked down at him then back up at where they were going.

"You son's of bitches." Izaya growled. "Let me go, dammit!"

They ignored him.

"The Dark Pyramid is in here somewhere! You're going to get us all killed! Let me go!"

One of the men slammed his fist into Izaya's stomach. The raven's eyes widened before he coughed, the wind being pushed from his lungs. He fell limp against the gurney as he coughed and retched.

"Stop speaking your devil language to us!"The man yelled."You will not sway us from our faith!"

Izaya groaned as he glared at him. However, his attention was quickly pulled away to a sign on the wall. They passed by it quickly, but he was able to see the words 'medical bay' on it. He felt a small twinge of happiness that they took him to the one place he wanted to get to. But with that elation came fear that gripped him.

'They're not going to lobotomize me, are they?'Izaya wondered.'No, they probably will! I've got to get the fuck out of this!'

Izaya tugged on his restraints again, looking down at himself. His knife was gone, along with his flashlight. He had no way to cut himself out of his bonds.

'Shit!'

The men pushed the gurney into a pair of swinging doors, the wood bouncing off the wall and clattering loudly. Feminine moans began to fill the room. Izaya's eyes widened as his stomach clenched with newfound fear. Hearing moans had the complete opposite effect on him as he knew only one creature that made such a noise. He quickly tilted his head back to look. The room was filled with nurses, the same demented, contorting monsters that roamed the hospitals. The nurses that had disfigured faces and lacked orifices, but responded to light and sound—and swung whatever weapon in their hand at whatever noise that was made.

Izaya felt his blood go cold as fear started to tickle his spine.'Why are their nurses here?!'

The doors hitting the gurney made a loud bang that resounded around the room. They all twitched to life instantly. The squeaky wheels echoed against the floor, the men's boots clacking just out loudly. The feminine monsters began shuffling towards the source of the noise. Izaya struggled hard against his restraints, which only added more noise to the cacophony as metal rattled.

The two men didn't stop until they pushed the gurney into the middle of the room. They were thoroughly surrounded without question.

"Why are you—You'll get us all killed!" Izaya yelled.

The caretakers backed away. One of the nurses swiped at the man on Izaya's right. She missed but he dodged to the side nonetheless. He quickly turned around, and with cattle prod in hand, pressed the end against the nurses chest.

"Get back!" The man yelled, electrocuting the feminine monster. "Get back!"

He pushed the nurse back to the wall. However, he was making a lot of noise, so the other nurses were making their way towards him.

"And you!" The man yelled and turned to zap another in the chest.

'You idiot, stop!'

The caretaker next to Izaya, the one who was actually being quiet, looked around nervously as his companion continued to assault the nurses with electricity—and continued to draw their attention. Most of the nurses were surrounding the man now. One in particular came up behind him with an over-sized syringe.

"Look out!" The quiet man yelled.

Too late, the nurse stabbed the syringe into his shoulder. The man called out in pain before falling to his knees. The nurses bent forward to 'look' down at him, twitching and jiving about. The man was groaning in pain and fear while the other man walked around the gurney towards him.

"Get away!" The other man yelled, pushing some of the nurses away with his bare hands. "Get off of him!"

Half of the nurses were paying attention to the felled man making noise, while the other half were turning their attention to the standing man who was now making noise. However, one of the nurses, the one closes to the downed man and was already bent forward, took a knife she had in her hand and plunged it into the eye socket of his gas mask. She twisted it, then let go, the man falling limp against the floor.

"Get away!" The standing man yelled one more time.

Two nurses came up behind him and stabbed him in the back. He called out in obvious pain before falling to the floor. The nurses didn't stop their assault as three more joined in. They all started to stab him, moaning and twitching while blood flew in the air. The man called out again and again and again.

Until finally, he laid forever still. And with his death, the nurses froze on the spot, standing in whatever pose they were last doing before the noise stopped.

'Oh shit.'Izaya thought.'Oh shit, shit, shit. Those two were the only ones who knew I was here! No one's going to come for me now.'

Izaya looked down at his restraints. In an act of desperation, he pulled on his leather cuffs, hoping the chain was weak or rusted enough to just snap. He wasn't going to be able to slip out of them. His previous struggles proved that they were two tight around his wrists and ankle. His sweat probably wouldn't even make enough lubricant for him to slip out. No, his only hope was to try and brute force the chain. It clattered against the metal frame. The nurses twitched and turned to him. He quickly fell still.

'I've got to try this. It's my only way out!'

Izaya tugged on his restraints again. The chains held and rattled. The nurses shuffled over. He froze. Izaya pursed his bottom lips before trying one more time. He pulled on his restraints. The chains clattered but didn't give. The nurses moaned and one raised their knife above his torso. Izaya fell still and so did the nurses.

He couldn't make anymore attempts now. If he did, they would surely stab him and that would be the end of it all. Izaya bit his bottom lip and closed his eyes tight shut. He felt like he was going to cry as hopelessness flooded his chest. He wasn't going to, nor could he cry anyway. If he did, it would just be more noise and he wasn't the type to cry anyhow. No, he just needed a moment to get his emotions in check before he did something stupid.

'Think. Think, think. Think, think, think, think, think. How do I get out of this? Can I knock the gurney over and use it as a shield? Maybe, but how would I get out of my restraints? I'm back to square one, just on my side. Maybe my body weight will break the strap, or maybe I can somehow get a knife from the floor.'

Izaya raised his head. He looked down at the two dead bodies. He could see his hunting knife sticking out from under one of them.

'But it's too far away. If I knock this over, I won't be able to get close enough to the knife. Are there any closer?'

He looked around. There were knives, syringes, and scapels all over the floor, scattered around randomly. However, if there were any close to his gurney, he couldn't see them since he couldn't raise his chest.

'I'd have to 'leap of faith' this. If I knock the gurney over, I've got to hope to land by a knife.'

Izaya looked back at the fell men.

'I could turtle the gurney. Flip it over so it's lying on top of me and shimmy over to the body. Ah, but once I reach them, how will I get the knife. It's going to be a lot of awkward maneuvering, but I think I can do it.'

Izaya looked at the nurses.

'Wait, I can't tip over the gurney. I'd need to get momentum, which will make the wheels squeak or clink on the ground. I'll still get stabbed.'

He clenched his teeth hard enough to make them ache.

'I'm legitimately fucked here. I need to try and get this nurse to move away. Then I can—'

Izaya's thought was cut as something echoed down the hall. A noise that made his eyes widen and a chill go up his spine. Something metal scraping against metal. The nurses twitched to the noise, turning towards the door. The knife that was threatening to come after him turned away from him.

Izaya tugged on his restraints again.

'Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no.'

Some nurses turned to Izaya, but the majority looked at the door. Lumbering footsteps could be heard thunking down the hall. The nurses moaned and twitched to the noise, taking steps towards the door. Izaya pulled on his restraints again, straining to try and break the chain.

A baritone roar sounded. The small windows in the swinging door were blocked out by a black mass. In the next second, the door swung up.

Izaya's heart thudded in his chest. Dark Pyramid stood there, holding the door open with one arm. He turned with his whole body. His shoulder shrugged forward hard to pull the giant kitchen knife.

'No! NO!'

Izaya tugged hard on his restraints. The nurses didn't stir to him. They were all focused on the much louder—and deadlier—threat. The nurses shuffled over, weapons raised. Moans filled the air.

'Alessa! You can't seriously want to kill me! After everything I've done for you, you'll—'

The pyramid monster lumbered forward. The closest nurses started swinging. Izaya was relieved that the monsters of Silent Hill had no allegiance. They will attack anything, even each other, so long as it crossed their line of sight. This time was no different.

Three nurses stabbed at Dark Pyramid. One plunged a pair of scissors into his bicep. Another had a scalpel that went into his chest. The last tried to slice him with a bone saw but she only hit the helmet, in which it bounced off.

Dark Pyramid let out an inhuman groan of pain that sounded more like creaking metal mixed with a roar. He then swung his arm. He backhanded one of the nurses, who went flying into another nurse then the wall. With his other hand, he pivoted his body and, with great effort, lifted the blade in a frightening swipe.

Izaya turned his head on reflex so the blade wouldn't hit his face. It was no where close to touching him, but knowing that wouldn't stop the instinctual fear. Two nurses were unceremoniously chopped in half. Decapitated arms flew through the air, followed closely by a gush of blood. The blood certainly reached him. It splattered over his face and neck, some getting up his nose. A chopped hand landed on Izaya's stomach, bouncing off and flopping on the floor. Both disgusting things made him cough.

Something was still resting on Izaya's stomach. He looked down to see a scalpel. His eyes widened.

More nurses had moved to Dark Pyramid, swinging their arms wildly. They hit each other; they hit Dark Pyramid. They didn't care as they moved sporadically. The male monster used both hands to slice through the females. Body parts and blood were flying everywhere. Izaya was quickly coated from head to toe.

Izaya quickly twisted his stomach, shimmying the scalpel off his body. It soon slid down. He felt it cut into his index. He cringing in pain but he forced himself not to care. He got his fingers around the stainless steel. He fumbled to twist it around until it was against the leather around the one chain link.

He struggled to move the blade back and forth. It was an awkward angel that made the tendon in his wrists strain. But he had to keep going! He had to ignore it! His life depended on it!

Moans continued to fill the air while the Dark Pyramid roared. His blade made swings in Izaya's peripheral that terrified him. The scalpel went deeper and deeper into the leather. Blood splattered on his face, blinding him for a moment. He shook his head, his bangs sticking to his forehead. Quickly, he forced his eyes open. All the while he continued to saw.

Izaya tugged his wrist. The leather ripped. Izaya could feel it. He tugged and tugged and tugged until finally, it broke away with asnap! Relief flooded Izaya's chest. He even cracked a smile as hope filled his chest.

The bottom half of a nurse landed on him. Luckily, her heels only hit his chest, but he didn't want those stiletto's piercing his eye. The weight knocked the wind out of him and he quickly started to cough. He didn't have time to push the body off though. He needed to justget out!

Izaya grabbed the strap over his chest, pulling on it until it came out of the fastener. Soon enough, it came off. He then pushed the body down with his free hand. It rolled down to his thighs. The operation table was drenched and his shirt was soaked through. He didn't care though. What was a little blood anyway? No, his focus was on the strap over his stomach. He quickly tugged on the end, pulling it out of the fastener, then pulled it off.

Able to sit up, he did so and grabbed the decapitated nurse by one of her knees. He lifted it up and let it topple over. It fell to the floor with a sickening splat. He grabbed the strap over his wrist and pulled on it.

A nurse slammed into the side of the gurney, slightly rolling it away. He grabbed onto the railing to stabilize herself and push herself to her feet. Izaya's heart hammered in his chest with fear. He looked up to see the huge kitchen knife blocking out the light.

With no hesitation, Dark Pyramid brought the blade down. It sliced the nurse in half—as well as the bottom half of the gurney and subsequently, Izaya's legs.

Izaya saw the blood splatter. He felt a mind-numbing agony in his thighs that quickly turned into an unbearable heat. It was the worse pain he had ever felt before. Worse than even the pain from his dreams. His insides twisted. He became lightheaded as his vision faltered. His lung started to burn with a deafening scream.

He could only assume that the pain mixed with him expelling all his air thanks to that scream were why his vision began to dot with black spots. At the same time, his head went numb. His eyelids felt terribly heavy.

The raven wasn't sure what happened after that. Everything began to spin before his head hit metal. He could only assume he was lying on the gurney from the pressure against his back. Black started to close in over his sight before that was all he knew.

"He was so close. If only he hadn't fainted..."
