It was a beautiful snowy, wintry morning day in the lively city of London.

People were out and about shopping because Christmas was almost here and one girl was on her way to ballet class.

Now this young girl's name was Clara and she was hoping to get the lead female part in the production of the Nutcracker Ballet.

To those who knew Clara, they saw a beautiful girl with shining blond hair, dazzling blue eyes and soft milky white skin to boot.

"I've got to hurry or else I'll be late!" Clara said to herself, she was running all the way to the dance studio where class was being held.

Clara then decided to take a short cut through a couple of alleys that she had taken before and finally made it to the studio on time.

Once inside the building, Clara went to the girls dressing room then changed into her pink practice tutu and matching ballet flats.

"Good thing you got here on time." A silky voice called out, Clara turned around to see her best friend Rue standing right behind her.

Clara smiled at Rue. "Morning and so am I." Clara replied as she hugged Rue, the two girls had known each other since they were babies.

"The teacher isn't here yet so why don't we stretch out?" Rue suggested, Clara agreed with her and they began their morning stretches.

All the other students followed their example and got to work on their stretches while waiting on their teacher so they got to talk as well.

When everyone had finished stretching, the teacher Ms. Onyx came in. "Good morning children." Ms. Onyx greeted them with a big smile.

"Good morning Ms. Onyx!" The students greeted back, everyone in the class loved their teacher because she made everything so much fun.

Ms. Onyx soon had everyone running through practice for the recital before letting the kids know who had what part which Clara was excited for.

"Now the role of Clara goes to our own Clara!" Ms. Onyx said with a smile, the irony was not lost on anyone as they congratulated their classmate.

Clara was thrilled that she got the part that she wanted and Rue was alright with being her understudy while also playing one of the spring fairies.

After running through practice once more, it was time for the students to head home but Clara got permission to stay a little longer and practice.

"See you later." Rue said as she hugged Clara, she hugged back. "See you later." Clara responded sweetly, the two waved to each other as Rue left.

Clara went back to her classroom then started up the music before dancing for fun to the 'Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy' as it was her favorite score.

While Clara practiced, she didn't see the huge mirror behind her start to glow a golden color which only got brighter the more Clara danced to that music.

It was only when Clara bowed, that she saw the mirror glowing before standing up. "What in the world?" Clara muttered to herself, she went to the mirror.

Clara inspected the mirror trying to the find the source of it's glow. "Why is the mirror glowing and what's making it do that?" Clara thought to herself in wonder.

The glowing got even brighter now that Clara was in front of it and when she touched the mirror, the glow intensified so much that the ballerina closed her eyes.

But because Clara's eyes were closed, she didn't see a hand come out of the mirror and pull her into it. "WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Clara cried out in fear, she screamed.

Clara opened her eyes again after she felt the ground under her feet. "What just happened?" Clara asked herself, she looked around and noticed that the air was warm.

Sure it had been warm in the classroom but this warmth was different, like being out during summer different and that's when Clara realized that it was summer outside.

"But how can that be? It's winter right now." Clara murmured, she didn't like the fact that she went from one season to the next even though spring had been skipped.

Clara also noticed that she was smaller then she had been earlier. "Why am I the size of Thumbelina?" Clara asked herself, she was so confused about the whole thing.

During times when Clara felt upset or confused about something like right now, Clara did the only thing she knew that would help her feel better and that was dance ballet.

So Clara got out her tablet which she made so it would run on solar power, she turned on some music from 'Anastasia' the Disney version as it had some really pretty music in it.

[Play Once Upon A December from Anastasia]

[Clara]

Dancing bears

Painted wings

Things I almost remember

And a song someone sings

Once upon a December

Someone holds me safe and warm

Horses prance through a silver storm

Figures dancing gracefully

Across my memory...

(Music)

Someone holds me safe and warm

Horses prance through a silver storm

Figures dancing gracefully

Across my memory...

Far away, long ago

Glowing dim as an ember

Things my heart

Used to know

Things it yearns to remember...

And a song

Someone sings

Once upon a December!

At the end of the song, Clara took a bow and had her eyes closed again but they snapped opened when she heard clapping which made her look up to see who had been watching her.

Clara's eyes widen in shock when she saw fairies right in front of her. "That was amazing!" A fairy in a blue dress with long black hair said with a smile, Clara blinked in surprise at that.

"Um...t-thank you." Clara replied shyly, she stood up quickly as another fairy went up to her. "Are you a new storytelling fairy?" The fairy with the braid asked, Clara shook her head 'no'.

The fairy that was wearing a yellow dress got her friend's attention. "Girls, I think she's a clumsy." The fairy said nervously, her friends looked at Clara's back saw that she didn't have wings.

"A clumsy? Here? But how?" The fairy in the pink dress asked in shock, no one knew but four of the fairies looked at their blond friend. "Peter didn't bring her here." The blond fairy told them.

Clara was beyond confused by their conversation so she tried to slip away, key word 'tried'. "Hold it! We need to take you to Queen Clarion." The blond haired fairy told Clara, she sighed quietly.

The blond hair fairy took hold of Clara's left hand. "Don't let go." The blond haired told her, Clara held onto her hand tightly but gently and she let herself be taken to their Queen Clarion now.

Clara looked around while they flew to see if she could figure out where she was but nothing came to her and that unnerved her as she wondered what was going to happen when they landed.

As the six flew to their destination, the fairies kept looking at Clara and whispering to each other but ultimately stayed quiet unless they had something to say to one another they felt was important.

The five fairies knew that it was very important that Queen Clarion see Clara so she could decide on what to do with her and that worried Clara so much that she felt dizzy before she passed out.

The blond haired fairy nearly fell but caught Clara and held her bridal style. "I'll take her to the healers while you guys get Queen Clarion." The blond haired fairy told her friends, they nodded.

The five friends split up to do their tasks as they each wondered how this clumsy got to Neverland if Peter Pan hadn't brought her here but they'd soon find out from their own Queen how it happened.

First chapter done! This is my first Tinkerbell story so please be gentle, I don't own the fairies or the song in this chapter.

I do own Clara, Rue and Ms. Onyx, please review and no flames!
