"Beast Boy groaned and fell back into his pillow. His eyes closed as he sniffed the air and a pleasant aroma filled his nostrils. 'Mhmm Tin Man what are you making today' Beast Boy muttered to himself as he leaped out of bed. He shuffled through the piles of clothes on the floor of his room, eager to get out and eat whatever his best friend was cooking.

Cyborg flipped his egg and placed it on his plate with the bacon whistling some high school musical (not that he'd admit it if Robin asked.). "Yo Cy that smells sooooo goood yooo" Beast Boy sniffed with content.

"Green Bean how many times do i have to tell you MY BACON smells a HUNDRED TIMES better than your stinky Tofu and there's no way...wait say what?" Cyborg stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around to face the young changeling.

"You heard me Cy pass me some of that meat yo!" Beast Boy licked his lips and eyed the juicy bacon. "Uhh BB I think you've had your fun in the morning LOOK I'LL MAKE YOUR STINKING TOFU JUST LEAVE MY MEAT ALONE MAN IT'S GETTING CREEPED OUT BY YOUR STARING!" Cyborg shouted at the top of his lungs, he then started to look with concern as Beast Boy started to growl uncharacteristically."Back off Cy, you don't want to mess with me just give me that bacon and I'll leave you alone".

"Um if you're okay with eating your OWN transformations, I guess it wouldn't hurt to get some more protein in ya."Cyborg scratched his head and shoved his plate over to watch his green buddy chomp down carnivorously. Cy saw the Purple young demoness walking in as she placed her hands on her hips and tilted her head, he nudged her and said, "look beast boy is finally going to grow up with his sudden fondness of meaty goodness". Beast Boy looked up and said, " Hey I'm more human flesh than you are Cy!" Cyborg widened his eyes and narrowed them at him, "wow that's real rich coming from the boy who's more green than the mould in his room from not cleaning it for, oh I don't know, since we moved in 5 years ago!"

Raven glanced up from stirring her tea, coming over, cup in hand, "Real mature you two, there hasn't been one day in the tower where there is an ounce of peace, Beast Boy maybe you should stick with vegetables the way you eat your meat is way too..." Beast Boy stopped her and grabbed her wrists, "I suggest you stay out of this argument because it doesn't concern you and please stay FAR AWAY from me I'm not in the mood to hear another one of your lectures, I didn't sign up for class Raven".

She stared at him and saw a flash in his eyes, he stared back but his eyes softening and said, "I'm sorry Rae that was out of place". She looked at him, confused as he cupped her cheek and whispered in her ear as his low voice sending shivers down her spine. "I'm not a boy that you fuss around and clean up after anymore". He pulled away and walked out of the common room and yelled, "Thanks for the bacon Cy".

Raven read his aura as he walked away, loud and clear, he was agitated, frustrated and definitely out of place. If she had woken up on the wrong side of the bed she would've taught him some respect and asked him to not speak to her that way. However today she realised that she did barge in on their silly conversation and that she was the one out of place too. The pride she could swallow but when it meant admitting Beast Boy was right? She refused to accept it, choking on her pride. She finished her tea and placed her cup in the dishwasher, giving Cyborg a wave she walked down the hallway, into her room. She brushed her fingers on the edges of the neatly placed books on her bookcase, thinking to herself about what had just happened. She decided that meditation was the only way to approach the recent ponderings of the morning. The empath sighed and rolled out her blue and black yoga mat and smoothened out the edges as she sat in a lotus position, cracking her neck side to side as her amethyst eyes closed gently.

This entire situation had created some turbulence within her emotions mainly rage and timid. They were always on the verge of arguing but this situation pushed them into the boxing ring. " I really did not know how to handle that, -I mean he was -i-intimidating", Timid yelped defending her lack of response to the changeling. "UM TIMID WHEN WILL YOU LEARN THAT WHEN I SAY SHUT UP I DON'T MEAN NOT RESPOND TO SOMEONE WHO OBVIOUSLY CANNOT LEARN BOUNDARIES. THE WAY HE GRABBED MY WRIST THAT SON OF A B-"

"hmm I don't know that was kinda hot".

Raven gulped and listened to the cameo emotion who arrived a bit earlier this year.

"OH YEAH? THE ONLY HOT THING HE'LL GET IS THE HEAT ON HIS CHEEKS AFTER I SLAP HIM SO HARD-"

"which cheeks pray tell rage?"

"OH HI THERE THIS IS A CONVERSATION NOT A THREE-WAY FIESTA CHICA, FFS WHY THE HELL IS THIS BITCH HERE A MONTH EARLIER RAVEN?"

"oh don't worry, you'll hardly notice me, Beast Boy on the other hand will once I get warmed up".

Raven didn't answer but groaned externally at the internal havoc that was her brain. Her crush on Beast Boy was small but not insignificant and not apparent to anyone other than her. She really did not want to act on her impulses in asking him out or just seeing if it would work by showing affection. This was not because she was scared but because she did not know if these feelings were apart of this time of year or if it was less noticeable the rest of the year-round. controlling her emotions was easy in front of him because it was such a small crush she didn't really think about it that much unless he'd be talking about a fangirl who was a bit more enthusiastic than usual. As the years went by, however, the controlling had been a struggle. Her emotions were not just getting more complicated but more emotions were forming due to the complexity of hormones this time of the year, especially one particular emotion that graced her presence a month earlier. Maybe Trigon's spawn had a curse, oh wait she was the curse. The defeat of her father was freeing and allowed her to really control her emotions with little meditation, but for a month, nay season, a period of time in the year her emotions seemed to be at their most vulnerable. Reading countless numbers of books, diaries from her mother, Arella and spell books, The violet clocked girl had no luck. It's not every day a demon and an angel reproduce, she had no sources, no archives that could construe her position. She concluded the best way to solve the issue was to not solve it but cope with it.

This presented with obvious issues.

1) since she knew nothing about this onset of vulnerability at this time of year, she couldn't be prepared even with experience from the year before. with no concrete evidence, she couldn't cast a spell in fears that she would make it worse.

2) Her coping mechanisms were just meditating on urges or excluding herself from high-emotion environments. She would reduce her empathy and surround herself more with books rather than her teammates. Fighting crime was more tiring and she found herself eating more meals, meditating and sleeping the entire day after a battle.

Her eyes fluttered open, groaning even more and flopped on her yoga mat.
