Wow! Thanking all of you for the favourites and followers, I do appreciate them!
DimitraMitsos I see you from 2016 *insert sly face emoji* thank you for seeing my writing at it's worst and still having hope ahaha.
Without further ado, I do not own teen titans.
The next morning
The sun fell onto Raven's forehead, and the heat consequently woke her up. She squinted at her clock and read 11:27 AM.
Wait, did she read that correctly?
She opened her bloodshot eyes wide and fumbled with her sheets until she slid them off, feeling not so rested. While she did manage to sleep four more hours in, her mind was awake and restless the entire night. She was up going through her spellbook, trying to look for controlling her own emotions. While she had spells for the use on others (not that she hadn't used them before to get Robin to confess to Starfire because the amount he stared longingly sickened her), she couldn't find one to get one little pesky emotion out. Lust was not just lust but desire. And Desire? She gets what she desires. In this case, she focussed on the only person who did not have a brotherly attachmentâA.k .a Beast Boy.
She slipped on her bunny fluffy slippers, wrapped her towel around her aching neck and pulled some fresh garments and walked into her shower.
Her morning routine was simple. She would shower, make herself a hot cup of tea with waffles and go up to the roof and meditate. She would start and finish all of her morning duties before 9 AM before anyone could awake from their shut-eye.
She turned on the showerhead to the highest pressure and hottest setting and stood under it. She let the water flow down her back, stretching her lats by clasping her hands behind her back and squeezing her shoulder blades in until she heard a crack. She then threaded her hands through her hair with her Lavander and vanilla bean shampoo until she could feel her scalp burn. When she finished, she patted herself dry and put on her undergarments ending with slipping on her black yoga pants and her fluffy burnt orange sweater. She wrapped the towel around her hair and twirled it, so it sat upon the crown of her head and tilted slightly to the right. Just the way she liked it.
She left her room and entered the living room, pleasantly greeted with peace. She went over to the empty kitchen where she found that somebody had bottled water and left some in the kettle. 'Hmm somebody needed their coffee this morning', she glanced over at Robin sitting on the lounge with some papers but failed to see a coffee mug in his hand. She mentally shrugged and carried placing the teacup from the cupboard onto the wooden counter. She added a teaspoon of honey and took her earl grey tea leaves from the box and put it into her silver strainer into the cup. She poured the conveniently left hot water from the kettle into her teacup, leaving some breathing space for milk. She poured five drops until the tea looked a bit fuller and mixed it, taking out the strainer. She placed it carefully near her lips, blew on it before pursing her lips and taking a sip. She closed her eyes and felt her lips curve into a small smile. She walked over to the waffle iron and placed her cup near it before reaching over to the fridge and taking out the waffle batter. She poured a ladle and waited for the iron to do its magic. She heard a very familiar ding and took it out and placed it on her plate. She sat in the dining room and let out a content sigh. She enjoyed her routine, having a schedule, following structure was to her one of the simplest pleasures in life.
Well, an emphasis on one. Despite being an independent, career focussed woman, Raven now 20 was quite content with that part of her life. She was a superhero, a role model and made a decent amount of money. The young empath had a career that would always challenge her, keep her mind working and help other people. What she wanted was a family. Arella couldn't provide that to her, the sense of motherly belonging dug a hole in her heart and stung from time to time. The fact that she was sterile didn't help her case of wanting to start a family too. She looked around at the empty chairs and started thinking about what her family might look like.
She definitely wanted a girl and at least two of them, the relationship between her and Starfire was not the greatest, but it was indeed something she appreciated as the years went on. Right from first date advice, bra shopping, periods, sex and sexual partners, Starfire was delighted in sharing her thoughts, advice and experience. Now Raven most definitely shared the first two but experience? Not a chance.
Raven did have her first date, many dates after too, periods weren't in her picture but sex? Something she was yet to experience.
She shook her head and looked at the time, deciding she would meditate up on the roof. She put her dishes away and walked up the stairs to meet the sun's yellow beams but instead found herself glancing up at green- wait with a teacup?
'What the-'
"Oh hi uh Raven sorry I wanted to ask you if I could borrow one of your teacups, but I couldn't find you and figured you were still sleeping. So I went ahead and just left you some boiling water as a please and thank you?" He fumbled with his words but grinned sheepishly gazing up at a blank Sorceress. Raven tilted her head at this bizarre string of words that didn't correlate with him and then swallowed involuntarily as to digest after a few seconds. "Don't mention it, when did you start liking tea anyways?" She queried. "Well, I wanted to be healthier and focus on my well-being", he spoke with a bit more speed and suddenly exclaimed, "Sorry I have to go I've got training with Robin, talk to you later Rae." She saw him transform into a bee and buzz away. The look of surprise did not leave her face until she sat in the lotus position and closed her eyes.
"Man, he is testing my emotion spectrum for the past 48 hours."
Wow descriptive writing has been so hard. I remember reading T rated fanfictions and really missing the descriptive nature that is sometimes overlooked in M rated fanfictions. There is so much action *insert winky face* that it really is hard to digest sometimes. So fret not! There will be fluff, lemons, oranges and other citrus elements to this fanfic. It will be a slow burner I have decided because I'm not that easy guys.
