A/N: I have not written much for most of my works in a while, choosing to focus on my original works instead. Last night, from the time I wrote these notes anyway, I got a new follower and was prompted to read this story and got driven in a new direction for it. So thanks Chavira66.

Disclaimer: Found a card belonging to some guy named Bounder. It read 'licence to kill'. There was a note that said if I didn't say that Zootopia belonged to Disney he would put the licence to work on me.

Mr. Bounder trudged up the stairs to his floor. The old building had been home for many years. Ever since his falling out with his wife. Her son wasn't his and he had criticized her for it. He knew it was a risk of the job they had been on but he still had to pick a fight. The hare opened his door and stepped inside to close it. Hanging his hat and coat on the hook by the door he wandered over to his chair and slumped down into it, sobbing. The words he sobbed into his paws were unintelligible even to his own ears.

John sat in the chair next to the door. He kept his paw on his gun even though it hurt to even stay awake. His bandaged side and leg made everything difficult. At least he didn't have to worry about his clothes for now. They lay on the floor in a heap next to a black skin tight leather suit that was a few sizes too large for him but fit his female companion perfectly. Or did before it got torn by his claws so he could get to the cuts on her pelt. She lay naked, except for the bandages, on the bed not three feet away.

"Jack," Skye called to him tiredly, "Get in here with me already. We got away clean."

"You don't know that," He said stiffly. "If they suddenly show up and we aren't ready they could kill us."

"Then put that under the pillow like a normal spy, and screw me already."

"..."

"Oh come on Jack. I didn't even wear underwear for tonight."

"So you were going to get me into bed regardless?" he looked incredulously at her.

"Well… yeah. Of course I was." she sat up with a slight grimace and reached out her paw for him. "I love you Jack."

"I love you too."

He got up the pistol still in paw and limped over to the bed. She took the gun and put it under the pillow next to hers. Then he eased himself onto the bed and kissed her gently as they lay back down on the hotel room bed together.

The memory in dream form woke John. Age had caused his fur to go nearly white but his mind and skills were as sharp as ever. He reached over to his bedside table and switched on the light. A letter rested on the table as well in a frame with a picture cut from a newspaper.

My Dearest John,

I know we have not spoken in many years, but I had to show you. Our boy is all grown up. He's a police officer with the ZPD. I am so proud of him. There's so many things I wanted to say to you, not to mention a desire to smack you upside the head. You were not raised by your birth parents and you turned out just fine. Now, no thanks to you, our son is finally on his way to being there as well. Who would have thought he would have a similar outlook on love as we do? The bunny? Her name is Judy Hopps and do you see the look they are giving each other in the picture? With luck I will still be around for the wedding. You see John, I am sick. The doctor says I might last a few months or, if I'm lucky, years. I want to see you. Please come home.

Your beloved,

Vivian Wilde.
