Mako's Message: For the sake of brevity, I think I'm going to skip over Thanksgiving since I wrote a Holiday Bonus covering this exact time. It's Ch23.

Ok, so, good news bad news.

Good news first...

The city has mostly recovered from the hurricane. At least as far as utilities and services go. There are still homes and businesses that haven't been able to be repaired yet though. Some of them are probably going to stay that way for awhile. We've been trying to keep as many of those places on our patrols in case of looters.

Next, we finally got our new suits. Everyone was really excited for them. Most don't look all that different though, just...better. They were made by a professional after all. It's great that this worked out so well. Now everybody still gets to have their unique suit, but the rest of the team don't look like amateur hour. They deserve it.

I wish I could make my own suits, but I can still only do basic repairs and upgrades. I could probably do it, but it'd take a lot of time I don't really have.

The suits are also really nice. The guy wasn't kidding about this new material. None of the knives in the kitchen could do a thing to it. None of my off-the-shelf knives or swords could do anything to them either. My throwing knives can kinda snag on them, but only if they hit straight on. Otherwise they just kinda of bounce off. My custom swords though, those will cut through it.

Now the bad news...

Coach Baum shamed the football team into practicing out on the field, even though it's only upgraded from "Swamp" to "Mudpit". So practice is back on. Brook hasn't openly been such a little shit recently at least. Pretty sure she's trying to get the other girls to mutiny though.

So glad I have Angela helping me. I would not be able to do this without her.

As light and strong as the new material is, it is NOT bullet proof. This wouldn't be a problem, except since he didn't need to use kevlar as the primary armor, he didn't. So, we're more resistant to knives, but less to bullets. I mean, we do end up fighting guys with knives, or broken bottles, or blunt weapons more than we do guns, but guns are harder to deal with when we do come up against them. The vital areas and joints are still bulletproofed though, so hopefully it won't be an issue. We'll just have to make eliminating guns an even higher priority.

Marcus is still being run ragged though. We're doing what we can when we can while still maintaining a normal life, or at least enough of one to distract from what we really do. But this is his JOB. He's on call 24/7. Mr L has been a real life saver for us.

And finally... now that the suits have come in, I have have to make a decision I really don't want to make.
