Mako's Message: ..well, it does what it needs to do, yes? Just gotta write faster. ... yeah that's all I need to say. Enjoy!

I don't like Rebecca. …

Okay, maybe that's harsh. I don't like that she's inserted herself into my life. It was always just me, Angela, and Jessi. Sometimes Dave, Marty, and Todd would sit with us, but all of this year it's just been me and Angela. Everybody else gave us our space.

But now Rebecca is there every day. And I don't know her and I don't want to know her but she's still there. In my space. And I don't want her there.

And it's not any better at NYBC. Sheena just...does NOT care about personal space. She's always right up against Dave whenever he's showing her something or even when they're just talking.

Fortunately if they're "just talking" she stops leaning on him when I come in. And she does it to Riley too, sometimes. Dave says she does it a lot but I don't see Dave and Riley there at the same time much. Their shifts don't overlap much.

Angela seems to like Sheena too. For some reason. They were chatting a lot last time we were there. I just want to get some ice-cream and talk with Dave, but this girl just wants be to be fucking fused with him at every opportunity. At least Dave has her handle customers so he can "supervise" her work and it gives us a couple minutes to ourselves. But then she just comes bouncing back and grabs h hand asking, "How'd I do?" and Dave gives her these little miniature performance reviews. Sometimes he makes a super big deal over tiny things and at first I thought he really didn't like her but I realized right after he did it the first time that he's just joking.

Dave does like her though. He says she's the first new person they've had who actually seems to want to be there.

I guess that's good, since Dave and Riley are pretty much the only people who work there aside from the actual managers who I almost never see because Riley does most of the manager stuff herself. If they have someone else reliable maybe Dave will get more time off and won't be exhausted so much. Or at least we'll have more time for training and missions.

I just want to spend time with my friends but people keep getting in the fucking way. There wasn't even anybody at the Clubhouse today. Well, John was there, he basically lives there. But he was leaving to walk Teddy when I got there and their walks are usually a couple hours. Dave did come by after his shift, but he could only stay long enough to get through his daily work out. No time for practicing techniques, no sparing, no hanging out, just some chatting while he did his thing before we both had to leave.

He did say he was going to have a shorter shift tomorrow if I want to drop by. I guess I will, I'll just have to get my homework done at lunch or something.
