Here is the next chapter!!

Again, Sorry for the late update. I've been busy ever since our Online Classes Started, as some of you already know.

Also, A very, very big thank you for the almost 50 favorites and over 50 followers. I really did not expect that this story would have this many readers, and I really appreciate you all for it.

For the Reviewers this last week, Here is my answer:

Tyrant Overlord Killidia: Thanks for the suggestion, as always and I'm considering it right now. I'm thinking of skipping that part by going to Zen's P.O.V as he does something in the same time as that, but I'm still thinking whether to go for this or your suggestion right now.

Guest Jon: In my own opinion, I think Traditional Japanese songs, I guess. With her being a youkai, beings originated in Kyoto, so yeah I think maybe that kinds of songs. Also, Rias's interaction with Zen will start before Raynare's demise, so stay tuned for that.

Guest Jon: No, It's not the one in Sona's Peerage. As I said in the last chapter, She is on the other anime, and it's just a coincidence that they have the same name and hair. Sorry about that.

Disclaimer: I don't own Highschool DxD or the elements of the other animes I used in this fanfic. They are all owned by their respective owners. I only own the OCs and my own plots.

With that finished, Let's go to the Story.

(3RD PERSON P.O.V)

It was like what Zen expected yesterday. Normally, he would now be walking to the school together with Issei. With Zen waiting at him on the intersection just 17 meters away from the school.

But now, they both had an unexpected company. Not just a company, but one that they both didn't truly expected by walking side by side with.

And it was the Redhead devil, Issei's master, and the President of the ORC, Rias Gremory.

As they met through the intersection, Zen just kept up his emotionless face, still not having able to open from people other than the SC duo, Kuroka, and our favorite brunette just beside him on his left; Issei.

So far throughout their way to the school, Zen was silent, just listening on both the gossips of the students around them and the conversation between the two. Well, mostly the former, though.

"WHY IS IT HIM!!!!??"

"WHY IS SOMEONE LIKE RIAS ONEE-SAMA WALKING WITH SOMEONE LIKE THAT PERVERT!!!??"

"DIE!! HYOUDOU, YOU BASTARD!!!"

"AND WHY IS ZEN-SENPAI STANDING RIGHT BESIDE THEM??"

"IF IT'S RIAS ONEE-SAMA AND HIM, THEN I'M OKAY WITH IT!!"

"ME TOO!!"

"BUT WHY IS HE WITH RIAS ONEE-SAMA WHEN HE HAD TSUBAKI ONEE-SAMA??"

"NO WAY!! IS HE DOUBLE TIMING THEM BOTH!!??"

"DAMN IT!! JUST DROP DEAD, YOU BOTH!!"

"NOOOO!!!!"

They were some shouts of nonsense pointed at Issei. Although Zen knew that Issei deserved it, he couldn't help but frown on what they were saying. Aren't they overreacting too much on these things?

There was also some gossips about him and Rias getting together. Although She was so beautiful and was the most popular girl in the school, Zen really didn't feel that way on her. In fact, if they were to go on a relationship, it'll be just on being friends. Nothing more, Nothing less.

And then, they even thought that Tsubaki and him were together. Did they forget that Tsubaki is in love in Kiba? There's no way that she feels that way to him. Even if it was, there's no way he deserved her. He thought that She and Kiba would look good together if they ever did, and was rooting for the both silently.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he then took a look at Issei, he could see him having a dark clouds above his head. Was he depressed from getting trash talked or from hearing the gossips about him and Rias? Zen didn't understand.

If it was the latter, then he will have to explain it to him later..

As for Rias, she was just walking elegantly. Perfect for some princess like her. Her face still smiling, even after hearing all of that gossips, while hiding what she was thinking right now. Zen can only hope that she wasn't considering what the students were thinking.

He really didn't feel that way to her, after all.

And it really felt the worst when he heard the former gossips. It felt like he was just on a third-wheel on this relationship.

But still, he didn't show it on his face. Staying on his usual blank face throughout the way until they arrived on the school grounds.

Not being able to take it anymore, he decided to excuse himself and left the both of them on the school grounds.

He decided to talk with Issei after the school on their way back home. Lunch was out, because someone will fetch him to go to the ORC room or at least, that was what he was expecting.

He didn't forget that he was going to train the now user of the powers of his beloved, after all.

o-o

In was now lunch when Zen heard Rias call Akeno about something.

"Akeno?"

"Yes? What is it, Buchou?"

"Can you please go tell Kiba to call him to our club, please?" Asked Rias.

"Understood, Buchou." With that, Akeno went to tell Kiba about what Rias said to her.

Upon hearing that, Zen instantly knew that they were going to call Issei to their club and introduce him to the supernatural. Which means Zen can only hope if he can even train Issei after he was part of their club.

He was deciding to go rooftop to take his lunch after wearing his headphones, only to be called the same way Rias called Akeno earlier by the person he was now familiar with; Tsubaki.

"Zen?" Tsubaki asks.

"Hmm? What? Is Sona calling for some help again?" Tsubaki was a bit surprised at this. Seeing Zen cheerful for a little bit like this was so rare to see it from him.

"Y-Yes. I'll tell Sona that you're busy if you can't go..." Said Tsubaki, saddened a bit at the thought of Zen not going at the SC office. Seeing his reaction after drinking her handmade tea always makes her exhilarated, after all.

"No. I don't really have that much to do right now, so there's no problem. Lead the way." Said Zen as he gave her a small smile, starting his plan to open up to the others, even for just a little bit.

Tsubaki after seeing him smile at her, suddenly had a red tint on her cheeks as she obliged on Zen's statement.

As they walked through the hallway towards the SC Room, all of the students' stares were now at them, gossips starting to rise on the air again.

He was getting tired of it, not because it was always directed to him, but the fact that it was all nonsense and that they were bothering the person right next to him; Tsubaki.

He was now frowning, but before he was about to shut them up, a hand fell on his right shoulder, stopping him right on his tracks.

"Please don't mind about things like that. It doesn't really bother me that much, you know." Said Tsubaki, giving him a rare small smile from her usually stoic face.

Zen's eyes widened a little bit, surprised that she recognized him getting tired of this nonsense rumors about them. Did he opened up to the point that his reactions from things like this were now showing on his face? But then, he really didn't want her to feel uncomfortable like this everyday, even if she said to him that she didn't mind it.

But even he himself can't deny her if she insists to say that she really didn't mind it.

If only he knew what she was feeling to him right now, though.

"I see." Was all Zen said to her as he wore his headphones to his ears throughout their way on the SC Room.

o-o

They were now entering the SC Room, where they saw Sona on her table, handling some paperwork. Probably most of it are about the activities of the Pervert Trio, except Issei since he was with Rias the last time he saw him, if the frowning of her face shows any indication.

As Sona heard the door suddenly opened then closed, She stopped working as she faced the two of them. She was then surprised when she saw Zen like he was calming himself down, with him letting out a few, deep breaths as Tsubaki closed the door.

"Did something happen on your way here?" Sona asks.

"No, nothing. Just some nonsense that somehow got me irritated." Replied Zen as he looked away, Sona somehow felt some venom on his voice.

She was then surprised even more at what he just did right now. He mostly didn't show his emotions and had always kept it in check, but this time he was like letting go some of it, with Zen still frowning along with that venom she felt in his voice.

Zen, after seeing her face, let his frown disappear and rose an eyebrow, "What? Is there something about my face?"

"N-No, There's nothing wrong with it. It's just that..." She began slowly. " Seeing you frown just got me surprised. You mostly just had a stoic face that I almost thought you never had any emotions." Said Sona, also saying that she was not being rude as she tried to fixed her glasses.

"I'm just good at hiding it, that's all." Said Zen, as a matter of fact, but also lying at the same time.

While it was true that he was good at hiding it, he mostly didn't had any emotions from the start of his life, after all.

After a moment of silence through the room, Sona then asked him.

"Are you aware of what happened yesterday?"

"If you're asking about what happened to Issei, then yes I'm aware about it."

"Is that so... Even though they are our enemies, both in races and this situation, I can't help but feel pity for them."

"They reap what they sow. Although they didn't know that this town is under my protection, they tried to kill a civilian in this town, which then made into a devil without him knowing, and I let them go with it. The third time I see them do something again, and they'll regret doing it for the rest of their life." Stated Issei, Sona seeing his eyes glow for a moment as Tsubaki gave the both of them a tea, as usual.

"Let me ask you something. Why are you that eager to protect this town? Can you please just tell us the reason why you are doing this?" Asked Sona, trying to get some answers from the man in front of him. Even though she had a crush on him, She still wants to confirm if she can really leave him her own life or not.

"..." He was silent for a few minutes, thinking what was the real reason he was doing this, since he also didn't know it himself. Although he always says that it was to protect the town from the supernatural, he knows that it was just a part of the reason.

He then thought back from the time he first met these two; Sona and Tsubaki. He felt something tingling inside his stomach everytime he went to talk to them, and it still does even now. And he had to admit it, it felt good. Then, he thought back to the first time he met the other two; Rias and Akeno.

Somehow, they felt very familiar to him. He can understand it with Rias because of her crimson hair, which is very identical to the man he served millenniums ago. Hell, if he was a female, He bet that he would be a carbon copy of this Redhead, with the only difference is that he had a darker red crimson instead of a normal red one.

But with Akeno, He really can't pinpoint it where was the last time he felt that aura inside of her. Although it was faint, he can feel some light powers inside her, along with the fallen angel aura. The problem was that there was too many people that he met with the same signature. If it was about the fallen angels, they all had the same light auras within them like Akeno. Then, he thought back to what happened last night, that yellow lightning that protected Issei came from her, in which he then deducted it to the only person he knew with the same affinity, along with her being a half-fallen angel.

Baraqiel.

Judging from that, Akeno was probably his child, but did he get married with a devil? Probably not. When he thought about the time when he tried to feel their auras, a little part of her aura was that of a human, so probably he settled down with a human woman. Which means, Akeno is a reincarnated devil.

As he rack his brain about that, he then knew why he really wants to protect this town.

Rias's resemblance with the original Lucifer, Akeno's relationship with Baraqiel, and the tingling feeling in his stomach he gets everytime he was talking with Sona and Tsubaki, everything made sense to him now.

He wanted to protect them. From Rias, was in behalf of her ancestor, in which he had a great respect of. and Akeno, was in behalf of her father, who had taken care of him one time when he was still a mindless beast.

From Sona and Tsubaki's side, he still didn't know what was the reason, but he always had the urge of protecting them everytime he was on their side.

Somehow, he also felt a ping of unfamiliar emotional response in his chest everytime he was thinking about these two.

But, there's no way he can blurt that out. at least, from the way he is right now, and maybe in the future.

"I'm looking for a purpose." Was all Zen said after a few minutes of silence.

"What?" Replied Sona, dumbfounded at his answer.

"W-What do you mean by looking for a purpose?" Asked Tsubaki, on behalf of Sona who was still dumbfounded.

"You know who I really am, my true identity, so you should know what am I saying right now." Said Zen, eyes staring at Sona's, with his hands gripping each other.

Sona, opening her lips to say something, only for Zen to cut her off.

"From the time I was born, the time even before I met the original Lucifer, there was only two questions lingering inside my head, 'What is my purpose?', 'What is the reason I am born in this world?'." Said Zen as he pointed a finger on his head. "I always thought what was it, up until now. As the time passes, I met only two people who gave me a reason to live in this world, but only for them to vanish just right in front of my eyes, never seeing them again." He added, narrowing his eyes as it stares down to his hands, not being able to look at their eyes. They probably thought he was now talking nonsense.

Sona, who understand the meaning behind what he said, grimaced as her eyes now narrowed at the revelation.

'So that's why he is still like this. Because in all the time of his life, all the person he met and cared for him died, while he is still living up until now. No wonder it got him this broken up to this point, and it's even surprising that he was still able to keep his mind sane right now, and show some smiles now and often. Any normal people who went on the same fate as him probably would not be able to talk, much less keep their minds from going insane.' Thought Sona. frowning at the thought of having a life like that.

From Tsubaki's side, She can only grab her right arm with her left hand, sympathizing on what happened to Zen's life.

'If only... If only I could console him like what Kaichou did to me when we were still child.' She then frowned. 'But then, he is more broken than what I was. Just what can I do to help him from his depression?' At this point, her eyes were now narrowed like she was about to cry.

After their moments of lost in their thoughts, Zen decided to continue. Maybe this will make him open up more by telling them bits of his past. But he still didn't know if he could, and he can just hope for it.

"But..." He began slowly. "Even though they are not with me right now, what they taught to me is still here." Zen then grasped his left chest. "And I know that if I stay like this, it will sadden them more like I made their efforts in vain." Said Zen, trying to make a smile as he stares at the both of them.

"But, after meeting you and getting know you both, I somehow get the urge of protecting you two. And seeing you two smile now and then everytime we talk, it makes that urge even stronger. That's why." Continued Zen, giving them the same smile he gave to Tsubaki in that last night.

The girls after seeing this, was now blushing on their cheeks. Even Sona, who was mostly stoic on everything what Zen said, was now blushing furiously, but it was still a bit lighter than what Tsubaki was having right now. They didn't expect him to say that, in all of the things they were talking about.

"Hmm? What's wrong? Are you both feeling okay? Your face is red, you know." Asked Zen, making the girls snapping out of their trance after he said that.

"N-No. Nothing. We're fine." Said Sona, still blushing with Tsubaki just nodding behind her, both of them not making an eye contact to him.

He then wondered why they were like this, only to comprehend that he just blurted out the thing he doesn't want to say right now. After he realized his blunder, he just maintained his emotionless face. He was thankful that he could easily hide what he was feeling, sometimes.

"W-Well, if you say so..." Said Zen, leaving it just that. He was not going to ponder on it any longer if the girls don't want to.

If he wasn't good at keeping his feelings at check, he would be a blushing mess right now.

"B-By the way, from the way you just said earlier, it seems you are aware of what happened to Hyoudou Issei last night and the night before, right?" Asked Sona, still couldn't able to recover on what Zen just said to them earlier.

'Geez, if he just knew what he said earlier...' Thought Sona, her face still had the red tint on it as she stared at Zen's eyes, in which now had a bit of light in it than before. Although it was just a little bit, it was better than before where there was no light reflecting within it.

"Yeah. I even paid back to the man who tried to skewer him last night." Said Zen as he closed his eyes, making Sona frown a little bit. It seems she liked staring on it and was mesmerized by doing so.

"What did you do to him?" Asked Sona.

"I just severed off the arm that skewered Issei on his stomach before Rias went to help him." Said Zen, as a matter of fact.

"Huh?"

"Don't worry, I also scared him off as well." Added Zen, as he opened his eyes and stared at Sona again, but she was not mesmerized this time.

"Did you know what you just did?" Said Sona, her eyes now narrowing as she stared with Zen.

"About what?" Replied Zen, tilting his head a bit.

Upon seeing his reaction, Sona suddenly scratched her head with her hand, in which Zen was surprised for seeing it the first time. He hardly saw her scratching her head whenever they talk to each other.

"You just revealed yourself to the enemy, if you still didn't recognize. Add to it with that man seeing you how easily he was easily beaten by a human, it'll make their defenses to the church now more sturdy, you know." Said Sona, before letting out a sigh of irritation.

"Don't worry, they won't be getting out of this town alive." Replied Zen, wanting to let Sona calm down.

"But the problem is, they might be reporting this to their leader, which is most likely not within this town." Said Sona, as a matter of fact.

"And it will make them not attack this town in the process. You know that if a supernatural attacks this town, it means they will attack you both. That's why If the cost for them to stop without bloodshed is by revealing myself, then I'll gladly do it. It's also mostly the time for me to come out, after all." Zen shrugged off his shoulders as he gave her a smile to make her think that it's all right.

Sona after hearing his explanation, couldn't help but frown again. He was basically sacrificing himself just to make sure this town stays peaceful. Not only that, but it also means that he will go through the lengths of revealing himself just to protect the heiress of the 2 households in the underworld.

In simple terms, all of it is just to protect her and Rias.

She then blushed again, but not furiously as before like what Tsubaki was right now, as she then remembered what happened last two days ago.

"Now that I remember, I heard this from the devils who visited this town. About them being scared off by a 'human' after asking him that they were looking for someone. Does this ring any bells, Zen?" Asked Sona, straining the word human as she gave Zen a somewhat like a death glare.

Zen after comprehending what Sona just said and after seeing her glare, just feigned ignorance as he avoided looking at her eyes.

"No, I didn't hear anything about that. Care to tell me about it?" Replied Zen, avoiding Sona's glare by staring at the window on his right.

Sona who saw Zen's reaction on her question, decided to just close her eyes as she let out a sigh of exhaustion.

"I already know that it's you, so don't try hide it from me." Said Sona, as she saw Zen somehow flinched at the reveal.

"Just tell me, is the person they were looking now at your house?" Asked Sona.

Zen, who was now thinking on whether he will tell it to her or not was silent for a few seconds.

"*sigh* Yeah. She's now living at my house since these last 4 days. She's also the reason why I'm now like this." Resigned Zen, as he also let out a small sigh.

"What do you mean?" Sona raised an eyebrow at Zen's statement.

"She gave me a reason to open up a little, much like what you both did to me. Also, thanks for her Senjutsu, I am now always feeling like I'm at peace, somehow." Answered Zen, now facing her again with a smile on his face.

Sona was now speechless. Not just because Zen made her a blushing mess again, but also the fact that his smile right now was so peaceful that it was like she infected to it, with her now also smiling along with Tsubaki.

But then, her smile disappeared in an instant, replaced with her usual stoic face and spoke to him in a serious tone.

"But it doesn't change the fact that she's still an SS-stray devil, a dangerous one and the fact that I can report her whereabouts to the council. I know that you now know who she is, if she made that much of impact in you."

"And it also doesn't change the fact that I can easily take on all of the people they will sent and still survive. You among all of the people should've known that fact, Sona." Retorted Zen, not battering his eyes to her's, with his also usual stoic face.

They continued to stare at each other's eyes for a few minutes, with Sona the first one to close her eyes, somehow having a red tint on her cheeks.

"*sigh* Although this will give me more paperwork, I can't just refuse the person I trusted with my life on the line, huh." Resigned Sona, letting out a small sigh first as she gave Zen a heartwarming smile. Add to it her still red cheeks and any normal person would've fallen for her at first sight.

Of course, It made Zen's heart beat quicker than normal, along with him scratching his head as he looked away from her, something red can be seen on his cheeks which made our Vice-president somewhat jealous.

Tsubaki can't help but frown at her Kaichou, taking a step ahead from her when her Kaichou knew what was she feeling at the man in front of them.

But, she also knew that she didn't mean any harm, Although her Kaichou was hiding it very well, Tsubaki knew it very well that she also had a crush on him as well, with her showing him some of her smiles when she only show them if she ever acknowledge that person as a friend or even more than that.

That's why, she will stay silent for now. And ask later if her Kaichou had some plan of sharing him. And if she ever agrees, then maybe...

"Sorry. I know that it will added to your paperwork, but I can't think of any other way than this. if you ever need some help then you can just call me, like usual." Apologized Zen, somehow guilty on what he just did to her. This will probably be added to her paperwork, which means another problem given for her. Things like this isn't meant for a girl like her. She deserved to do something more than just this.

"No. Although I appreciate your help, this is just a normal day for me. Besides, I have Tsubaki here to help me when I can't take it anymore, you know." Replied Sona. Giving Zen another rare smile of hers.

After Tsubaki heard what Sona just said, she also gave Issei her own smile, the same one she gave her that last night with him.

"But still, I can't help but feel guilty for what I did to you. If you don't mind, can we go out this coming weekend as a compensation for this?" Asked Zen, as he extended out his hand a little.

"'We'? You mean the both of us?" This time, Tsubaki asked, not feeling good after being left out while the both of them talked at each other, like usual.

They were both shocked when Zen gave them both a nod of confirmation. They didn't think that he was planning on taking them into a double date. He didn't look like someone who would do it, at least the way he is right now.

"Of course if you both aren't interested, then there's no need for going at it. We can just forg-" Said Zen until he was cut off by both of them.

""NO!"" Shouted the both of them. surprisingly, Sona also shouted.

"There's no way that we're not interested to it! We're just surprised that you asked us out both at the same time, right Kaichou!?" Exclaimed Tsubaki, her face now near Zen as she then took a look at Sona.

"Huh!? Umm... Yeah, That's right." Said Sona, getting embarrassed since this was the first time she was going on a date, and she didn't expect it to be a double one.

"As much as I want to take you two into a different dates, I don't think you two have a free schedule for it, so please just let me go for this." Said Zen, as he made one of his hands into a pleading one with a small apologetic smile on his face.

The girls then understood what he was talking about. Although they both want to go to a different dates, if they took too much time, papers with continue to pile up, so he planned that if they took each other's opinion and make it into something they both want, then maybe it will work out.

After a few moments of thinking, they eventually agreed to what Zen said.

"Okay." Tsubaki talked first.

"We'll go out with you on our free time." Added Sona, as she gave Zen a small smile.

"Okay. How does this coming Saturday sound? You can finish some of your works on the Friday while you also get a rest day on the Sunday, so..." Explained Zen as he took a thought on their date carefully.

Upon hearing Zen say that, The girls were now thinking if they could agree on that day, and that they did.

"Okay. We can agree on that day. Having a day off by going out sometimes isn't bad." Said Sona, as Tsubaki gave her a nod of confirmation.

Although both of the girls were just smiling at the outside, they were both jumping at happiness inside, almost not being able to wait for it and just do it after school.

After agreeing on their supposed date, Sona decided to change the subject.

"By the way, do you know that the cat you're housing on right now had a relative?" Asked Sona, making Zen lost in his thoughts for a few moments.

"I guess so. I think our mascot, the one in Rias's club, probably the rook in her peerage is the one. And judging from her aura, I can surely say that she is Kuroka's long lost sister, which was almost executed, if not for the help of the current Lucifer and Leviathan. Which is also Rias's and Your older sibling, right?" Deducted Zen, putting a hand on his chin after drinking Tsubaki's tea, which was now a bit cold all at once, as he then explained to them about what happened to Koneko after Kuroka left her, along with the two of the Great Maous, in which he guessed it pretty easily.

Sona wasn't even as surprised as Tsubaki right now. She was pretty much sure that he can guess it correctly, but she didn't expect him to deduct it to the point of guessing her older sister and Rias's older brother.

"As I expected, your deduction ability is pretty much scary when you got the information you wanted, even if it's just a small amount." Said Sona, as she just smile at Zen, with Tsubaki smiling too as well.

"You can also pretty much do this, if you can use your head to the point of predicting other things that normal people won't expect. Other than that, All people can pretty much do it if they ever want to." Disapproved Zen. Not taking much of the credit on what he did.

"You're too humble. People may be able to do that, but not to the point where you are right now, you know." Defended Sona.

Zen, realizing that if this goes on, he won't be able to win this. Sona's specialty is debating, and he pretty much knew that after talking with her about something like this always ended up being debated by the both of them.

"*sigh* okay. I admit it. Thanks for the compliment, though. If we continue like this, it will end up like the other things we talked only for it to be ended up getting debated by us both, and that I will just lose." Resigned Zen, as he released a small sigh, giving up early when he knew that he can't win. This made the two girls chuckle at what he did. He might really be a Tsundere, after all.

He then frowned at the thought of what Kuroka just called to him. 'No, there's no way.' Zen thought.

After that, all of the talks they had were just like the usual, with Tsubaki somehow got joined into the conversation. Well, she was like out of the place all this time, so it wasn't that surprising if she also want to get into the conversation too.

They also talked about where will they go on their date in this Saturday, and boy, they were totally expecting it, even Zen who normally didn't care things like this, was expecting this too much for a long time.

After that, Bell rang throughout the hallways, a sign that lunch was over. Zen, deciding to go to the room was suddenly called again by the two. Only to be asked that they go together to their classroom. They were classmates, so what was wrong with them going together, or as Sona stated.

Then, what Zen was expecting became a reality. There was now a wave of gossips flying on the air of the academy.

One day, he will really snap if they won't stop doing these nonsense things. And if not for the two person on both of his sides, he would be giving them a death glare right now as he walked through the hallway.

After that, Classes just went smoothly, like usual.

o-o

He didn't feel uncomfortable right now. He was basically waiting for Issei to start training him, only for him to be told that he was going to get some contracts and that he should go home first. He totally forgot about the contracts. They were even doing that thing right now? He didn't even bothered to ask Sona if they still do it, so he was pretty oblivious to it.

When he asked him about that before he left, Issei responded that instead for exchanging the soul to grant a wish, they needed something that was one of the summoner's belongings, and establishing their contract by using that thing, that's all.

It made Zen feel better a bit after hearing that. It seems that devils now this days were more better than the old ones. He didn't even want to remember the old ones, all Zen could say for them was that they were pretty fucked up.

He then asked Issei why was he walking towards his clients, only for Issei to say that he didn't had the necessary magic reserves to activate the teleportation magic circle. Zen only chuckle at that as Issei walked away, his face pouting at Zen's reaction.

After that, He also walked away from school and decided to buy some groceries, since it was because his resources was now low again, courtesy of Kuroka's huge appetite.

It took about a half-hour of shopping that will mostly last for just 1 week, if Kuroka's appetite were still the same throughout the week.

As he was walking home, his hands now full of groceries, he suddenly felt a barrier getting erected at the time he arrived at the area, in which he got surprised when he felt it familiar, somehow.

He then went to take a look at the source, where then he saw our favorite brunette who had finished his first contract from the looks of it, standing below a blue-haired woman in a red leather outfit with black wings, probably a fallen angel. But, it confused him when he again felt that she was someone familiar to him.

It looks like they were fighting against each other, with Issei somehow managed to activate his sacred gear, although on its twice critical state. If he was trained before he activated his power, then he can pretty much beat the fallen angel. But as harsh as the fate is, he wasn't able to.

He was looking for a opening for him to intervene, but he was feeling like the fallen angel was holding herself back, not like in a way she was toying him but something else like, she doesn't want to kill him, if the frown in her face along with how lousy she threw her spears so easy, even Issei can dodge her yellow spears had any indication.

After finding the time to intervene, he set aside the bags he was holding first before going to block the spear she was going to throw at Issei.

Like what he expected, She threw her spears again at Issei. He can also dodge this pretty easily, if not for the pebble he just stepped on and slipped by himself. Issei's eye were now wide-open as the spear went to struck at his heart, the woman also grimacing at what will happen to him. She really didn't want to kill this innocent boy who got dragged into the supernatural accidentally if not for her fallen 'friend'.

But before it struck Issei, Zen managed to hold the spear at time, blocking the tip with his left hand, as it exploded after the impact.

The woman gasped, she didn't know that her spear was going to explode, nor that she know how to do that. She can only wait for the answers after the smoke dissipates, if the person was still alive.

But before it dissipated, She heard a voice behind those smoke, and it was something familiar to her, something she sought to hear it for a very long time.

"I know that you're someone familiar to me, but to think that you're this familiar to me, huh. Although it isn't in the best situation, I still want to say that it's been a long time, Kalawarner. Or should I say, 'Kali'." Said Zen, giving her a small smile as the smoke dissipates.

Kalawarner was then very surprised. Why not? After a millenniums of years passed, she finally found the person that made her fall and boy, she missed him so much.

She didn't utter a word. Tears of longing started to fall from her eyes as she descended to the ground quickly as she went to hug him, finally in his grasps for a very long time. She really missed the warmth he gave for her, and she can only cry silently for that. He saw her doing something he didn't expected to her, only to stop her himself. What can she say to him right now? She wants to think about that but for now, she wants to enjoy this feeling.

As for Issei, he can only gaped at what he was seeing. First he was suddenly battling this beautiful woman to the death, and the next time he opened his eyes was only to see the woman who tried to kill him now hugging his friend. Not that he was angry about it, since he was still alive, but he was so jealous of him, being able to hug that voluptuous body along with that big oppais of hers. He wondered what would it feel if he were to be hugged by that? He wants to know it.

He was then snapped out of his thoughts when Zen asked the boy that was like a younger brother to him.

"Are you alright, Issei? Did you suffer any injuries?" Asked Zen, somehow worried if Issei were to suffer another injury when he was just healed for the injury he got the last day.

"No. I'm fine. Besides that, can you please tell me about your relationship with the woman who was trying to kill me just now, Zen?" Said Issei, his right eyebrow rising a bit as he asked him a question.

"She's my acquaintance from a long way back, and I haven't seen her for a many years. As for why did she tried to kill you, I don't know. Can you please tell us why, Kali?" Replied Zen to Issei, as he went to ask the woman in his arms, in which she never let go of him; Kalawarner.

"I-I never really wanted to kill him. I j-just wanted to scare him off and just end it at that. I didn't expect that you would be fighting back when you awakened your sacred gear." Answered Kalawarner. or Kali, as Zen calls her.

"Is what she just said. I think she pretty much admitted that she hated to kill you, but because she was ordered to, she had no choice but to do it, or else she would be isolated in this town, both by her friends and the devils. So, do you want to forgive her, Issei? Although I also have many questions about her, I think I'll just ask her tomorrow. She's probably exhausted right now." Examined Zen, as he stared at Issei. Not just because of him asking her but also to gave him a wordless request.

'Can you please forgive her for me?' was what Issei could understand in those crimson eyes of his.

Deciding to oblige his requests, he gave him his answer.

"I-It's all right. You didn't even killed me, and you even tried to let me go, if I didn't even fight you. so I forgive you, I guess.." Said Issei, as he scratched his left cheek with his left index finger, while laughing a bit.

Kalawarner, who heard his answer suddenly fell at Zen's embrace even more, relaxing more than what she was the all time, with her eyes growing sleepy as she mumbled one more thing.

"Thank...you..." Was all she said before she fell asleep.

Zen who saw this, can't help but feel proud at what Issei just did, and smile on the woman within his embrace.

Deciding to carry her bridal style, in which the bluenette smiled at the warm feeling transmitted to her as she snuggled to him further, He then asked Zen something.

"I know you have so many questions swarming inside your head right now, and I will try my best to answer them as we train within my house, so can you please carry those bag over there?" Asked Zen as he pointed his still carrying hand to where the bags of his groceries were sitting on.

"Ah, yes. I can carry it for yo-what!? Did you just said that we're training? Right now!? At this time!?" Shouted Issei, not understanding that Zen had a way of training him even within this time.

"Like I said earlier, I'll answer what I can after we arrived at my home, so come follow me." Said Zen, as turned his back away from him and walked away, somehow leaving Issei on that area.

"H-Hey wait! Don't leave me here!!" Shouted Issei.

o-o

After an exact 15 minutes passed, they arrived at the front of Zen's home. It was just an ordinary 2 floor house, like what you can see on the animes. Deciding not to let Issei ponder about his house, he went to ring the bell and call the person inside.

"Nya? Is that you, Zen-nya? The door is already opened, you knyow." Said the person inside, and judging from the way Issei heard her talk, it was probably someone lazy, to the point of not even bothering to open the door.

He then sweatdropped when he imagined the person inside.

After Zen heard what Kuroka just said, he just pushed the door and decided to go inside, with Issei following him just behind.

"I'm home."

"Welcome back, nya."

"P-Pardon for the intrusion." Greeted Issei as he entered the living room. It was mostly ordinary, from the inside and the outside. When you entered the house, you can see the living just beyond the left corner, with the right corner being the stairs to the second floor, probably where Zen's bedroom were located.

The kitchen and the living were in the same room with the living room only consisting a two sofa forming an L-shape facing the TV. In the behind of the sofa was a large glass door which was the entrance to a small terrace. In the side of the living room was where the kitchen was located. in front of it, between the sofa of the living room and the Kitchen was where the dining table was located. It was a medium circular white table that can fit up to 10 people on it.

The part of when you pass the living room was where the bathroom and the toilet were located. Overall, it was a small property, but also perfect to live in by a maximum of 5 people.

But Issei thinks that a house like this was enough for him, since he probably hated looking like a rich, in which it is true.

After they entered the living room, Zen settled Kalawarner down on the sofa, as he gave her the blouse of his uniform as a blanket, in which she just smiled and slept peacefully.

As Issei also entered the living room, he saw the woman lying on the floor in an erotic manner. His eyes then widened when he saw Kuroka's already big mounds that are emphasized by the floor she was lying on.

"O-O-OPPA-" was all he could say before Zen chopped his head, making him lean forward a little.

"Finish that sentence and you know what will happen. You still remember my 'warning' to you, right?" Stated Zen to Issei, with his emotionless eyes staring at him. Although Issei couldn't see it, he could still feel the malicious aura Zen was excluding.

Issei just went silent after that, but his eyes were still on Kuroka's breasts, which was barely covered by her kimono. Zen can just let out a small sigh at this sight.

Although the other fallen angels will be questioning now that one of them suddenly disappeared, Zen didn't care a bit of it. He wanted to take her out of that place before he starts to massacre them for what they did.

After staring at Kuroka, Issei then put down the bags Zen let him carry to the kitchen table, and decided to sit down on the short L part of the sofa, as he asked him a question.

"Zen, you know that I have many questions to ask her right now, but I want to save that in the morning. After seeing her sleep like that so peacefully, I can't just want to disturb her."

"Yeah, I feel the same way. It seems that those other fallen angels in the church must be very hard on her, if she even fell asleep right after she felt no longer at danger when you forgave her."

They were silent for a few moment, until Kuroka decided to break it.

"You know, I also have so many questions right in my head, and let me ask a few of it. First, why are the people here suddenly became this many? And second, when are they gonna leave, nya?" Asked Kuroka to Zen with a tick appearing on her head, with the said man now staring at her as he made a deadpanned face.

Deciding to answer her questions, he spoke.

"For this girl, She will be living at us, for now if she ever felt leaving after she wakes up." Spoke Zen, as he pointed a finger at Kalawarner.

"Huh?"

"For this boy, I'm going to train him together with you." Added Zen, as he then pointed at Issei, with the said boy still staring her mounds.

"Huh!? Why am I still going to train, nya!? I am already an expert of using my power you knyow!" Exclaimed Kuroka, not believing what Zen just said.

"Although I know that you are already used from using Senjutsu, we need a proof that you won't go berserk so that when the time comes, I can assure to the devils that you are no harm to them. Besides that, I found out the whereabouts of your sister." As Zen said this, Kuroka's eyes widened with her ears perking up a bit.

"Is that true?" Asked Kuroka, struggling to keep her emotions at check.

"Yeah, and I know that you know she's afraid of you. That's why I need a proof that you have the control on your Senjutsu." Answered Zen.

"...Okay.." was all she said before Zen decided to Pat her head, trying to somehow console her. Although Zen was certain that she won't berserk, the devils won't believe him, if he didn't give them a solid proof.

"Thank you.." mumbled Kuroka, as she gave him a small hug of appreciation. Although she mumbled it, it was enough for him to hear it, along with a small tears falling from her eyes.

"Don't mention it. This is just part of my responsibility." Replied Zen, as he gave her a small smile, in which she also smiled back at her.

After their interaction, he then turned back to Issei, who was now having a resolute face as Kuroka separates from his hug.

"From what I can see right now, it seems that you are ready, huh?" Asked Zen to Issei.

"..Yeah. I've been thinking about it as you were talking to her. It frustrates me to know when Kalawarner-san wasn't even trying to kill me."

"That's because you just recently became a devil, you know."

"I know that. But still, to know that she was holding back a lot to me, I just can't help it, you know. I took a thought about it, ever since we arrived here. If she was serious and was going to kill me, I probably won't even be here right now."

"That's why Zen, Please, train me. I don't care how hard it is, If it will make me strong, strong enough for me to protect someone, then I don't care. If I can't even give someone like Kalawarner-san, who was holding herself back, a hard time, then there's no way I can protect the people that is dear to me." Pleaded Issei as he bowed courteously at Zen.

Zen didn't do anything from him for a few moments, when he said to him.

"That was what I originally planned, so just stand up."

Issei not even waiting for any longer, stood up very fast. Only to meet Zen's headchop again as he crouched down, grasping the part Zen just chopped.

"I told you that I hate things like that, right? There's no need for you to do that. Even if you didn't want it, I will still train you, you know." Said Zen, as he gave Issei another small smile again.

Issei after seeing Zen smile, couldn't help but also smile, with Kuroka also giving her own smile.

After a few moments of silence, Zen then spoke.

"Well, enough of that. Let's go start our training. But first, let me transport you into somewhere, where you both will face the worst enemy you'll ever have, whether in your dreams or reality, so I suggest you both to prepare yourselves." Declared Zen, his eyes now glowing blue. Activating his Mystic Eyes as he starts to transport them to their training place.

Issei was about to ask Zen something, only for it to be nullified when they saw something dark that suddenly swallowed them whole.

After that, everything went black.

That's the end of the chapter!

Yep, I'm now making Zen open up bit by bit as the story progresses, and no, no romance for the early chapters. it will start after the end of the Kokabiel Arc.

Also, I know that you are now confused. He met the biblical God, and he had a great respect for the Original Lucifer. Why is that? Well, you can see it on the later chapters.

And Yeah, He met Kalawarner in the past. but the question is, Is she part of his harem? stay tuned for the next chapters and you'll see it. XD

In the next chapter, Zen will be training both Kuroka and Issei. but where did he transport them? and what will happen to them? who knows..

Okay, enough of that. I think I've been repeating this in the previous chapters, but I really, really thank you for reading my first fanfic and I'll continue to try and improve my writing for you who enjoyed reading this fanfic of mine. I really appreciate it...

last one, please review? anything as long as it's not for a spoiler, please? it really motivates me, so please??

With that finished, I'll see you on the next chapter...
