Spiritual Blessing
Yusuke P.O.V.
I held Her in my arms as I gasp to see how high we're up in the sky that I didn't even know what just happened. What was that? It couldn't have been me that drove us out of there.
"There they are!" Koenma said.
"Urameshi!" I heard Kuwabara shouted over towards me.
I saw the others flying on Puu's back as they caught me while I held Eri in my arms protectively. I was relieved that I was able to get her back and she wasn't going to be doing the same situation Sensui put her through.
"Thanks for the lift," I said.
"You manage to get Eri, that's a relief," Kurama said glancing over at Eri.
"Yeah." I merely nodded as I held her in my arms.
Eri kept holding onto me as Hiei reached over to pet her head softly to cause her to lift her head as she looked at her surroundings.
"Hey, Eri! You're safe now." Kuwabara reassured giving her a heartwarming smile.
She stares at us with a hopeful expression in her eyes that I read her face knowing she was so glad to be back with us.
"We should probably land now," I suggested. Koenma nodded as I ordered Puu to land on the ground. When we landed I felt something different about my body.
"I can't believe you were able to catch her right after Sensui was trying to get her back," Koenma said.
"She made her decision," Kurama said. "Eri wanted to come with us."
Hiei noticed my actions and asked, "What's wrong?"
I was trying to process my body and what happened after rescuing Eri to get out alive. "It's so...strange. My body feels warm...now it's cold." I said holding Eri in my arms as everyone was intrigued about what I was trying to explain. "I used up half of my spirit energy when I was rescuing Eri, my spirit energy didn't exactly vanish and I couldn't fly. That's impossible." I said as I let out a small gasp, "My bones are intact and even my injuries from before are gone."
I stiffen in my place as Kurama spoke up, "I-I think she's doing it."
My eyes bulged as I set Eri on the ground. She stood there holding Hiei's cloak tightly in her arms staring up at us. I got one knee to narrow my eyes up at her in curiosity.
"Is this your power at work? A-Are you a healer?" I asked as Eri had her face is scrunched up as her lip quivered. She hugged the cloak tightly that kept her safe as I knitted my eyebrows together trying to figure out and understand that Eri did something to me-not in a bad way.
"She is doing it," Koenma said. "Look closer. Her horn is still glowing just when you caught her safe in your arms." He clarified. "I believe she was able to get you out of there just not thinking what else to get you both to safety."
"So, you did that to save us, eh?" I raise an eyebrow down at her feeling a lump in my throat.
That's when I suddenly felt pain in my body as I collapsed on my knees holding my body. Eri stumbles back a little as the others surround me.
"What's wrong?" Kurama asked worriedly as he rested a hand on my shoulder.
I grunted in grief, "I-Its my body! It's like...being pulled apart from the inside."
"She has no control of her Spirit Energy." We heard Sensui appearing before us standing there alive as he used his attack to aim at Eri. Hiei was quick to get Eri and we jumped away from the scenery.
"Great. He's back on his feet again." Kuwabara sneered.
Sensui was standing a few feet away from us wearing his Offensive Armor saying," She may have activated her Spirit Energy in time, but she doesn't know how to turn it off. Isn't that right, Eri?" Sensui smirked over at her as Hiei sent him a glare feeling Eri grip his shirt," She has to power to rewind people and demons. That's her secret. Use her right, and you might even be able to turn back into a monkey." He said as I scowl along with the others glaring over towards him. "If you keep carrying her like that, you'll be annihilated. Everyone who touches her is rewound into nothingness. Didn't I tell you that the girl is cursed? Hand her over. The only way is for me to stop her is reviving her."
"Tsk, like we're going to let you do that again, punk," Kuwabara said.
"Now I get it," I said in realization referring to Sensui's theory. "When I fought against Sensui after my body was injured you rewind my bones and healed my wounds. I didn't even feel a thing when you healed me with your power." I glanced over at Eri saying it straight to her face. "Seems like your spirit energy is a blessing to me, Eri."
Eri looked at me perplexed as her eyes started to water when I told her that. It truly was a blessing power of hers. It shouldn't be used for evil and Sensui can't have her.
"All right, I am taking on this guy," Kuwabara said with a cocky grin on his face.
"Guys, I appreciate your help, but I think I can take it from here," I said stepping in with my red aura rising around me.
"Knock him dead Yusuke Urameshi. If you're dead you know I got your back." Hiei said as I felt a grin form on my face.
I glanced over at Sensui and said, "I might get myself killed again in this fight. But there might be a way to defeat Sensui for good this time." The others looked at me in suspicion as I looked back at Eri giving her a small smile. "Eri...I need your help with this one."
Eri looked at me in surprise as I took her away from Hiei's arms that she was still holding onto his cloak.
"What are you going to do with Eri? What good use is for her to be in this fight?" Kuwabara inquired.
I focused on putting Eri strapped on my back and said, "I always wondered what it would be like to strap someone behind. It's worth a shot."
"You're going to use Eri for this!?" Kuwabara exclaimed.
"If Eri can keep my bones from breaking I might manage to defeat him. Plus, if she was with you guys it'll be more difficult to protect you all and fight him at the same time," I replied as I glanced back at the others saying, "You guys might need to fly up, so you won't get involved in this. Just to let you know."
'If I can fight against Sensui with Eri attached to me. I could easily win. It's dangerous, but I'm certain that this will work.' I thought as I felt my aura rise as Eri was using her horn to combine with my demon energy.
"Eri, you're going to have to give it all you got. Lend me your Spirit Energy." I told her.
"You don't understand the significance of how to use the girl's power. She can rewind spirit energy and demon energy before they have even existed." Sensui clarified with burning sensation over at us as the others climbed on Puu to ride away. "Eri represents change!"
I scowled, "All right, Sensui, if you want to get Eri back so badly. You're going to have to beat my ass to get her back!"
"Using her power isn't what's going to save you! Only I know how to use her!" Sensui snarled. "She. Is. Mine!"
I was standing there as Sensui charged directly at me, but I vanished quickly as he was stunned. His eyes shifted over to the right to see me flying directly towards him as I drew in a quick kick to send him flying in the air as I followed after him. However, I felt a painful sensation going through my body, Eri was using too much of her energy.
'I have to be careful. Eri is growing stronger and Sensui said he doesn't know how to stop her power.' I thought gritting my teeth glancing over to Eri to see her veins popping out of her head.
"H-How did Urameshi do that just now? He's even flying!" Kuwabara inquired watching the fight above to see me flying around.
"It's not what Yusuke is doing. This is what Eri is doing." Koenma referred.
"Huh? How is she doing that? I-I thought she was just going to keep rewinding him." Kuwabara asked.
"She is rewinding him. But as far as I could tell, Eri is getting stronger to increase her power, lending it to Yusuke." Koenma explained.
"So, no matter how many times Eri can rewind on Yusuke. She'll get stronger?" Hiei inquired hardly in disbelief with his eyes bulging out.
Koenma nodded, "Yes, and also I'm worried. Shinobu said that she doesn't know how to stop and monitor her ability." He glanced up to where Eri and I were now catching up with Sensui throwing punches at one another. "She hasn't had any training or guidance. She's just doing it."
"She just doesn't know how to stop?" Kurama inquired.
"Exactly."
Sensui growled, "Why won't anyone understand? The whole mockery of this society of evil within is making everything worse! The humans are nothing but weak and mindless freaks that the demons have no reason to be around."
While I was flying around I felt a weird sensation running through my body and someone else was controlling me. This isn't what Eri is doing more like someone trying to connect with me.
"At last I have found you." The voice said.
"Huh? Who's there?" I asked the mysterious voice who was reaching out to me.
"You don't know how to use your power. Let me show you!" He said as I felt my body changing as my hair grew longer to the color white and my eyes were glowing yellow as I sensed Eri clutching onto me worriedly. The person who wasn't actually me told her, "Child...lend me your energy. Keep doing what you're doing."
The person who wasn't me said, "I've been waiting a long time for this."
"I won't let you stand in my way!" Sensui shouted as he tried to reach for me only I was able to dodge him before he could lay a hand on me. My eyes glowed angrily as I glanced over at him in the corner of my eye flying around.
"If I can't save Eri..." I started as her horn glowed as he flew around to keep up with Sensui. "...A child relying on me to help her after what you've done!" Just as Sensui was about to unleash another one of his attacks I came up to him saying, "Then how can a spirit detective protect everyone when other victims keep laying a hand on everyone I cared about?" I punched him in the jaw to unleash a powerful wave that hit him in the chest's parts invisibly. My aura grew stronger as Eri gave me her energy as I viciously smirked at Sensui's terrified expression, "THAT'S WHY I'M GOING TO DEFEAT YOU!" I slammed my fist into his jaw deeply knocking him onto what seems to be a mushroom three as I released him and flew around and landed hearing Sensui crash.
The others who were riding on Puu witnessed what just happened since Yusuke is a half breed of the Mazoku side. Koenma gasped to see how Yusuke was able to defeat him as he glanced down to see the golden aura coming from Eri's horn.
"I-It's remarkable. Yusuke went all out to defeat Sensui that he barely even touched him. He also awakened the Mazoku that is born inside of him " Koenma said with wide eyes as he gulped. "Then again, Eri manage to lend her energy which could only mean..."
"Could only mean what?" Kuwabara asked.
Koenma says,"...A bright future." Hiei and Kurama were surprised by his words that they glanced down to see Eri was still on Yusuke's back. "With Eri, if she's able to keep doing what she's doing...there's no stopping her. She is the key."
"The key to lead to a bright future," Hiei added.
I then approached Sensui forming a mischievous smirk planted on my lips gazing at his weak stage, "Do you still think that challenging me is some great opportunity for you? Well, do you?" I gripped his throat hear him gag out blood in response as I let out a dark chuckle. "Playtime is over."
As I tossed Sensui's body up in the air like a ragdoll I pointed my finger up to form an upside-down cross to prepare for the Spirit Gun technique. However, I started to take control of my body arguing with the other person inside of me, but they wouldn't let me, and they shot the gun in the air as I switched back to normal gasping.
"Out of the way dumbass!" I shouted.
I was too late...Sensui was already hit and he gave me faint smile before getting crushed leading a path that practically killed the man.
"Dammit," I muttered.
Third Person P.O.V.
Yusuke watched Sensui get crushed by the spirit gun he shot, he panted while Eri was still strapped onto his back as returned to his normal self again. His hair remained long, but it was his natural hair color. He glances back at Eri in the corner of his eye worriedly if she was okay after being strapped around his back.
"Eri, are you hurt-AGH!" Yusuke grunted as he cried out in pain collapsed on the ground when Eri's spirit energy began to go out of control.
"Oh, this isn't good," Koenma said with wide eyes as the others stared down ahead to see what the situation is.
"What's happening now?" Kuwabara asked.
"Eri just keeps getting stronger and she has no control of her spirit energy! If she keeps this up...she'll rewind Yusuke and make him not exist anymore." Koenma explained.
"We need to stop her. Yusuke needs to get her off him. She's using too much!" Kurama said.
Eri had her eyes start crying uncontrollably, clenching the back off Yusuke's back while still wrapped in the cloak. Just as Puu landed, the others climbed off to rush over not knowing what to do which was a very dangerous situation.
"No! Please stop!" She pleaded with hot tears trickling down her cheeks as Yusuke struggled to get back up, but it just kept getting stronger.
"Eri! Urameshi!" Kuwabara shouted.
"Shouting won't help!" Hiei remarked, daggering ahead worriedly for Eri's life and Yusuke's as the situation was unstable.
"Look!" Koenma shouted as they noticed the demons coming towards them hungrily.
"Dammit! We can't take them all on at once." Kuwabara said.
Before they could make a move they saw one demon screaming as many others were in pain also. Eri was rewinding them all at once, not in full control, but it was quite a relief that she prevented them from coming after them that some of them cowardly ran away in fear. Their attention drew back hearing Eri crying while trying to stop her spirit energy.
"No! Stop! He's going to die!" Eri cried out. "Please don't die Yusuke!"
"I'm sorry! I don't want this!" She exclaimed.
"You're a curse demon."
'No, that's not true!' Eri thought.
"You're the reason why I have to get my filthy because of your selfishness."
'That's not true at all!'
"No wonder your mother left you. You are a threat."
'Please! I-I'm sorry!'
Hiei knew nothing wasn't going to stop her, and so he ran over to them, "Eri! Look into the Jagan Eye." Her eyes met Hiei's before staring into his third eye as he told her too.
When he used the Jagan eye on Eri it seemed to work as it stopped. As her eyes grew heavy she fell face forward, Yusuke caught her head before she hit the ground. The two panted as Hiei removed Eri off his back to let Yusuke sit up as he held her protectively in his arms. The others rushed over to them to make sure they were all right.
As Hiei held her in his arms he thought, "She's so small..."
"You two alright?" Kurama asked.
"I'm fine." Yusuke sighed in relief.
Yusuke's eyes fell on Eri as he gasped, "Eri!" He scooted closer to Eri as their eyes pierced down at the girl to see her cheeks were heating up as she quenched her eyes tightly.
"What's wrong?" Kuwabara asked worriedly.
"She has a fever. It's probably from overusing her spirit energy during the fight." Koenma said, taking Eri from Hiei's arms as he held her securely still wrapped in Hiei's cloak to make sure she wouldn't fall out of his grip. "We need to get back to spirit world hospital and I'm sure the doctor will help her. They should be able to help her get back to normal. It'll take her time."
The others soon arrived where Sensui was left for dead, Yusuke didn't want him to die and he wasn't the type of person to kill anyone. He tries to explain to the others that the person who was "Controlling" him wasn't "actually" him. Itsuki came across them saying that Sensui had a terrible disease and should remain dead to let him rest in peace. Yusuke thought about using Eri would be a good idea, but Koenma refused to say the poor girl had already had enough energy to use for one day. It has been decided as they let Sensui go with Itsuki to the dimensional world as they returned to theirs.
