The Flower Of The Slifer Dorm
Connar sat comfortably between her two friends, with their roommate Chumley at the end. Jaden fell asleep in class shorty after it began. Syrus tried to wake him but only got scolded in the process.
"And that complete's today's lesson." Said , heaving a sigh as he slammed his book shut,"Now then, , if you would please come with me, I will show you to your dorm-"
"That won't be necessary." Said a tall man with long ash colored hair tied back in a ponytail." As she is in my dorm after all, I will take care of it." he held a cat in his arms and the feline seemed to make Crowler rather nervous.
"O-Oh, right...of course." sighed.
I was so excited for her to be an Obelisk Blue...
"Now then, , if you could please follow me." said the much taller male as he adjusted his glasses,"My name is Professor Lyman Banner, I teach Duel Alchemy, and I am also the head master of the Slifer dorm, your dorm!"
"Oh I see." She smiled sweetly and nodded,"I will go with you then."
"Wait, Connar is in Slifer!?"
"Wow Sy...did the color of her uniform not give you a clue?" Jaden snickered, leaving a pouty faced blue haired male.
"Whatever, Jay, You didn't know what the colors of the blazers meant either, until earlier!" he huffed, "Besides the girl's uniform looks so much different."
"Haha, yeah okay, you got me." Jaden grinned blushing.
"Well then, Professor Banner...I shall leave the rest to you." said Crowler, before taking his leave.
"Meow~" once they arrived to the Dorm and Banner gave the run down, he quickly took leave to prepare a few more things for the Slifer welcome dinner. Leaving the custody of his students to the care of his cat, Pharaoh.
"...At this rate, our headmaster may as well be the cat." Connar blinked, her tummy rumbling.
"Hey...Connie."
"Yeah, Jay?"
"...I dare you to touch the cat!"
"What!?" She gasped,"No way! I'm not gonna touch the cat, you touch the cat!"
"HaHa Awe, come on, just touch the cat!"
"You shouldn't pet strange cats without permission, Jaden!"
"All right fine, then Syrus!"
"What!?"
"...Go touch the cat~!"
"A-Actually, I think I might be alergic to cats..."
This playful bickering continued between the three of them until finally the headmaster took his stand at the front.
"Hello Students, sorry I'm late. Now if we can just take some time to go around and say something about ourselves-"
Though Jaden didn't feel like waiting around. He was already stuffing his face.
"Jaden..." Syrus sighed.
"Haha, well...I guess some of us don't feel like waiting..." Professor Banner chuckled,"So let's just eat...and then we can take the time to learn about our only female student in out dorm!
"W-wait, what!?" Connar gasped and glaned around the the small crowded mess hall. He was right...there wasn;t another female in sight. She gulped awkwardly.
"It seems I...May have underestimated the situation of my choice..." she muttered to herself.
"No way, talk about lucky!" said Syrus.
"Lucky!?" she squeaked,"How exactly do you consider that 'lucky'!?"
"Because...since you're a girl, and the only one at that, that means you get a room all to yourself...no roommates!"
She blinked and thought for the moment.
That's true...I guess that's not so bad then...
She thought to herself.
"Well...as it seems you have already made some new friends in the dorm..." Banner chuckled,"I will let them take the reigns and show you to your room."
"You got it, teach!" Jaden beamed,"Come on Connie, follow me!"
Connar heaved a heavy sigh as she plopped onto her bottom bunk of her 3 layred bunkbed in her dorm. Her phone burned her skin from the heated conversation she was having with her father. After her friends helped her settle in, she called home to tell them of the situation...it did not go over well.
"Slifer Red!? really Connar!? You do know you that you still represent the Kaiba name while you're away too, right?" Her Uncle Mokuba relieved the phone from Seto after he let her have an earful.
"I understand..." she said to him,"But I don't want to be recognized that way..." she mumbled,"I was to prove that I deserve to be a student here, not just because my father owns the place." she sighed," He's not...too mad...is he?" she asked,"...Is he disappointed?"
"Hard to say really." said Mokuba,"I dunno if I would call it disappointed...More shocked than anything else." he sighed,"If this is really the path you wanna take, I have you know he'll expect you to work extra hard now!"
"I understand..." Connar sighed,"I promise...I will prove myself worthy of the Kaiba name." she said to him,"But I want to do it in my own way...this is the way I choose."
Mokuba fell silent for a moment and sighed.
"An honorable declaration." he said to her, "Now just hold true to your word...doing things like this means you will have to twice as hard to prove yourself."
"I understand...and I'm ready"
Mokuba sighed and chuckled,
"I can tell you're mind is made up...it's too late to change it anyway, so whatever happens...do your best."
Connar nodded and smiled.
"I promise! I won't be a disappointment...!"
"Of course not! Seto expects great things from you, Connie, and he does so because he believes you really can achieve them." He winked,"Anyway, it's getting late, you better hang up now before you add 'staying up passed curfew' to the list of shocking Seto...and I have a feeling that misconduct might not swing over as easily as this...I might be able to talk him down from his irritation of the Kaiba heiress flaunting a red uniform by choice." he said,"However easing his frustrations over you getting a detention may just be a feat I won't be able to accomplish~"
He teased, and she chuckled softly nodding.
"All right I understand." she said,"Good night, Uncle Mokey."
"Good night, Connie~ talk again soon!"
CLICK.
She sighed heavily and plopped back onto her bed. However, just as she closed her eyes, her PDA soon sent out a ringing signal, notifying her that she had a message.
"Who on earth would be sending me a message at this time of night?" she asked herself as she tapped the icon. She gasped softly at the sender address and gasped, darting straight up from the shock.
"It's...from Princeton!"
