When Dimitri opened his eyes, again, as he was looking at another human-like creature with tails on its bald, green head. He winced as his head pounded. He soon realized he was on a bed and he noticed the hat he had worn during the mission to Steiner's ship for Nova 6. The memory of his comrade, his brother in arms, came to him
"Reznov..." He was able to croak out, his throat dry."Dragovich...Steiner...Kravchenko...all must die..." He said, remembering how they had betrayed him along with his other men.
"I'm assuming they're not your friends?" Said a female voice. Dimitri quickly turned, wincing again at his headache, and looked at the green creature who stood on two legs. He stared at her for a moment. While Dimitri had never seen these head tailed creatures, he found this green female one...attractive. It had been a long time since he had seen a female.
Dimitri was silent for a moment, looking at her."What...what God created you?" He said.
The woman looked at him in confusion before a small smile came to her face."You've never seen my species before, have you?" He shook his head. The woman continued staring at him."What are you doing on Ryloth then?"
He stared at her for a moment, moving back from since he was still shocked by the creature's appearance."Ry...Ryloth? What nation is that?"
"It's not a nation, it's a planet." She looked at him silently for a moment again."Where is your ship?" Dimitri looked at a glass of water on the table. The green woman looked at what he was looking at and grabbed the glass.
After taking a few sips, he answered."My ship...it wasn't mine. It belonged to Steiner...to the Nazis."
She looked at him confused."Nazis? Are they pirates?"
"Where have you been for the last six years?" This only caused the woman to look more confused.
After a while, Dimitri had talked to the woman, who's name was Tela. He looked at her in confusion when she said he was on a different planet."This...this is impossible."
"You truly are on a different planet. You are on Ryloth."
He scoffed at her when the door opened up. But the way it had opened up surprised him since it had actually slid open."Tela, can I speak with the human for a few moments." Said the orange man that Dimitri had seen before he had fainted from the shock of the battle.
The green woman nodded and left, taking one last look at Dimitri before the door closed. The orange man wearing blue clothing sat down on a chair across from the bed."I don't see many humans on Ryloth." He said."First you, then that Jedi, Mace Windu, and his clone troopers."
Dimitri had no idea what the man was talking about."I don't belong here." He muttered."I am Dimitri Petrenko, a soldier of Mother Russia. I need to get back home to report that Dragovich..." He then stopped talking, a terrible realization coming upon him. None of the other soldiers had done anything as he and his comrades had died in the gas chamber.
He closed his eyes in pain, knowing that Reznov was probably dead as well."I...I don't belong home either." He said sadly. Stalin had little need of heroes. He could never return to Mother Russia now.
There was silence for a few moments."Perhaps we can fix that." The orange man. He outstretched his hand and smiled.
"I am Cham Syndulla, leader of the Twi'lek Resistance." He introduced himself.
