Trapped By Muggles
Fear washed over Hermione as she stared at the calendar that her jailor had placed in her room on the very first day that she had arrived. It was on that fateful morning that she had been forcibly separated from her husband and the safety of precious unborn child was at risk. Unlike her previous adventures with Ron and Harry she had a horrible feeling that the end result would be a good one as likely as everyone, both muggle and magical, believed that the first man on the moon was a Centaur in disguise.
"Do not worry little one, we will be alright, your daddy will see to that," Hermione whispered softly as she gave her swollen stomach a motherly smile and gave it a loving rub. "That horrid woman might of increased the days that we are stuck here but we still have three whole months to go after the end day. You will not come into the world only to have to join me in enduring this horrible imprisonment. Mummy will make sure that everything is alright."
Letting out a stressed sigh Hermione did her best to try and think of happier memories to stop the stress from over whelming her. It would do her nor her precious baby any good. With each passing moment that Hermione spent in the house turned prison the more she hated one Marge Dursley. Even through Hermione had been flabbergasted at how much Harry had seemed to hate his aunt Marge Hermione now knew why and agreed with him.
A sudden loud angry bark and the sound of someone groaning as they woke up came to Hermione's ears. Her whole body stiffened and her arms wrapped protectively around her stomach. One of her hands wrapped around a small hidden portkey that she had been given in secret before the muggles had torn her family apart just because they had found out about their secret world and amazing magic powers.
Hermione felt her maternal senses and common senses screaming at her to get out of the house as fast as possible but she knew that without a very good reason it was not possible. The barking suddenly grew louder causing unease to grow inside Hermione, she knew what that meant. Any second now Marge Dursely would be waking up to feed her dogs, herself and do anything else that Hermione could not do due to her current state before coming into the room and setting Hermione to work.
'If that horrible woman does it again today or even tries to do it to me again today I am getting out of here' Hermione thought as her hand tightened around the portkey. 'I was told that I am well within my rights, both muggle and magical, to use the portkey if I feel the need to protect my child. And I will use the portkey, I refuse to let this whole mess that started all because a muggle-born's parent could not keep their mouth shut kill my child.'
Determination flared in Hermione's eyes as she mentally went over the password. Her mind was made up, she would not allow this monster of a woman to do unknown harm to her baby. Hermione was sure that parents, both muggle and magical, would understand her situation. Plus she had to think of her husband and how she could return to him, they had both promised to find each other when this whole mess was over.
Stress and anxiety built up inside of her as Hermione started at the door fully dressed, she refused to give the curl muggle woman any levrge against her. As listened to the sounds of the woman starting her day Hermione found herself counting her lucky stars that Harry turned out nothing like his aunt Marge.
'If Harry behaved how his monster of a woman wanted him to he would properly be dead or too scared to even think about breathing without her telling him that it was alright for him to do so' Hermione thought as her free hand itched for her wand so she could hex the evil woman. 'From everything she has told me about what she thinks of magic I would not be surprised if she was one of the people who led everything in an attempt to get being magical in any kind against the law. I am glad through that there are people out there who think otherwise...this is only a temporary situation, everyone knows that. I will not allow that woman to even look at my child let alone be in the same building when I give birth.'
Eyes blazing with determination and a promise to protect the life she carried inside of her Hermione slowly stood up. Each morning when Marge would enter Hermione's room, only given to her because Marge was forced to, the muggle woman would find the witch already standing tall and proud. Marge would be disappointed that she could not use a moment of weakness against Hermione when she burst into the room while Hermione stood tall and proud, her hand resting on her stomach protectively and not giving Marge what she wanted.
Ignoring the swollen ankles and her aching back at carrying the extra weight Hermione did her best to stand tall and proud. She would not let this horrible woman decide her fate for her when freedom was only a few more extra red crosses on the calendar. Her mind no longer swam with facts and knowledge drained from the thousands of books that she had read in her life, instead it was only focusing on one single thing.
She had and would protect her precious baby, she would not allow any harm to come to him or her. Hermione was determined to find a peaceful place, away from anyone who would harm her family because of their differences. It was only a matter of time before Hermione would have her house in another country with her family where her child could grow up safely away from England.
No matter what anyone would try to tell her Hermione knew that England was no longer safe. It would not be safe for a long time until muggles and magical could live side by side, this was a fact that Hermione knew that it would not come to pass in her life time, or her grandchildren's. It didn't matter through, she would make sure that her family would be safe and protected, even after she was long gone and had become one with earth and magic again.
End.
