Her Greatest Creation

Fay felt her body tense as the black haired woman gracefully walked around her like a deadly snake. Her movements sent Fay's half trained Auror senses on high alright as she felt the critical black eyes looking over her, taking everything in.

'How did I get sent back in time?' Fay thought as she stood tall and stiff. 'This is not the sort of thing that I thought would happen to me when I took one of the Weasley twin's new potions to improve pillow talk skills...I should of known that it was not fool proof.'

"My my, you will be an interesting projection. You will be my best creation to date," Walburga said smugly, as if she was announcing something important to the world. "By the time I am finished with you there will be people lining up around the mansion for you. To be married to you, with your natural good looks and my training your chosen one will be feeling more than just a little protective of you around others."

"Thank you but no, I have no wish to start anything like The Cold War," Fay answered causing Walburga to freeze, Fay had used a muggle term. "I am a strong woman, I do not need anyone to protect me. Just because I am female does not mean I have to be the damsel in distress, in need of saving from the fierce dragon and its hot fiery b-"

"That is where you are wrong," Walburga snapped out, her expression took on a harsh edge to it. "You are obviously a muggle-born or a half-blood with the way you are speaking. A woman should be like a flower, who-"

"Has very sharp thorns so she can protect herself," Fay snapped out as she glared at Walburga. "Whatever you have in mind for me can get lost. All I want to know is how you kidnapped me while I was sleeping and somehow also managed to bring me back in time!"

"A proper woman should not use that sort of tone," Walburga tutted as she ignored Fay's glare "A woman should be-"

"You know, a lot has changed in the future about how women are can and cannot act," Fay said cutting off Walburga once again, she secretly enjoyed the glare on the purebloods face. "The time that I am from, a war has just finished and to live through such a thing as I and thousands of others have means you have to be a strong person."

"You are acting like a man!" Walburga cried out as she motioned to the Auror robes that Fay still wore, when she had finally got home she had been too exhausted to even think about changing out of them. "You have a job! And if that is not bad enough from the robes you are wearing it looks like you work as an Auror! If you have to have a job the least you could do is to make sure you have one that will be fitting of your station"

Anger flared in Fay as she locked eyes with Walburga. "I do not care about those sorts of things. Besides in the future a lot of rules and ways of doing different things are different."

Walburga gasped loudly, her eyes widened in shock as her dainty hands flew upwards to cover her mouth. "How horrible! The old ways will totally disappear? The muggle lovers will win? I cannot allow this! I refuse to let it turn out like this. Something must be done about the future."

"Well do not expect me to tell you about the future," Fay said as she folded her arms across her chest, ignoring Walburga's pointed stare. "Unlike certain people I can think of I do not have a bit mouth. I refuse to tell you anything about the future so you can change it to how you want it to be!"

"I will not need to force you, after I am through with you, my newest project, you will be telling me everything I want to know without a single problem," Walburga said with a sly look on her face. "Or have you forgotten our little conversation that we had just a few seconds ago? You will be my best creation, you will-"

"Not allow you to turn me into a mindless person and act the way you want me to!" Fay snapped out, her temper starting to run short. "Have you forgotten about the talk we had about my thoughts on the situation? I refuse, I am not some weak willed woman. Females are just as good as males and can do exactly the same things."

"True but you are forgetting one very important thing," Walburga said as she gave Fay a knowing smirk. "Females are the necks while males are the heads."

"Old saying, I am surprised that you of all people would of used just a muggle saying," Fay replied only to freeze when Walburga simply smiled at her.

"Have the famous but very true tale about the married couple somehow transfiguring themselves into one complete person become such common knowledge that the muggles know?" Walburga questioned in surprise. "Because that is where the saying comes from, the husband turned into the head and the wife turned into the neck. It is far from a muggle saying, what has happened for common knowledge as the origin of this saying to become forgotten and thought of as a muggle saying?"

Fay kept her mouth shut, she hated this. Even though she could see Walburga's points, and even grudgingly admitting to herself mentally that the woman might have a very small point, she could not let the woman win her over. She could not let Walburga start to take control of her mind, start to make her see things her way. Fay had to stay strong, she had to if she ever wanted to return to the future.

"How about we make a deal?" Walburga asked suddenly causing Fay to tense up. "What if we agree that, one that I am sure you will not be able to turn down."

As a sudden feeling of someone walking over her grave hit her Fay just knew that she was making a deal with the devil. Even with that in mind and knowing what this woman was really like Fay could not help it. It might be the only way she could escape.

"Fine," Fay snapped out, not missing the shark like grin on Walburga's face. "Tell me more about this fantastic agreement I cannot refuse."

End.
