Letting True Love Be Free
Kingsley Shacklebolt shot Molly Weasley a thankful smile as she stared aimlessly at him with wide unseeing eyes. He was starting to wonder if telling Molly after all these years had been the right thing. He had to tell her through, Molly had to accepted that while Arthur loved her he had found someone to love that was not his wife.
"Arthur...he still loves me?" Molly asked nervously as she bit her lower lip, even though she too had been seeing someone just like Arthur had she still hoped that her husband had feelings for her.
"Of course he does, he thinks the world of you Molly," Kingsley answered with a kind smile on his face. "It is just that his heart is big...very big and he has extra room. Do not think of this as a sign you should get a divorce. Think of it as a foursome between myself, Arthur, yourself and Rosmerta."
"Ro-Rosmerta?" Molly stuttered out, her whole face going bright red at the tall man's words. "How? How did you..."
"How did I know?" Kingsley asked with an understanding smile on his face. Molly nervously nodded her head. "Rosmerta and I see each other a lot because of our work, after a while we became friends and started to meet up and talk about things. Imagine our surprise when we started talking about our love life."
Molly let out a low groan and placed her head in her hands only to be stopped by Kingsley putting his large hands on his shoulders.
"Rosmerta is talking to Arthur at this very moment telling him the very same information," Kingsley said as he looked Molly straight in the eye allowing her to see his honesty. "Both Rosmerta and I have agreed to take steps to change things...for the better after several long important talks"
Molly let out a nervous sound, her heart pounded in her chest as her mind drifted to her precious children and how they would react. Then her heart suddenly felt as if it was breaking in half as she thought of how her husband must be felling right now. As if Kingsley was able to read her mind he gently rubbed Molly's shoulders in a comforting manner.
"Hey now it is alright. I know how to break news to people, both Rosmerta and I have been dropping little hints here and there. Arthur will not be suddenly hit with this shocking news, he will be able to connect the dots," Kingsley said honestly as he gave Molly a caring look. "Rosmerta and I are not doing this because we are angry or because we are upset and hurt with you and Arthur."
"Y-You aren't?" Molly asked weakly, unable to prevent the tears that had been welling up in her eyes from falling. "But...but..."
"You and Arthur both have big hearts, you both care so much about each other and about others that you never put your own happiness first," Kingsley said as he wiped Molly's tears away. "You and Arthur need to change that, Rosmerta and I have decided to put that into action. The war is over, your children are all grown up, in relationships and have children of their own. There is nothing that is stopping you and Arthur from finally allowing yourselves to be happy."
"But what about the children? How will they react? How will they feel?" Molly asked nervously, even though Kingsley had almost convinced her she could not help but to worry about her precious children and their reactions. "I do not want to hurt them...after the war and everything they have been through...what if-"
Molly's words were cut off by Kingsley who let out a loud belly shaking laugh. Unsure of why Kingsley was laughing Molly simply stayed quiet and waited for Kingsley to finish laughing. When he did a few seconds later he looked at her with just tenderness, the type on Arthur and Rosmerta looked at her with that it made her heart ache.
"That was the very first thing Rosmerta and I thought of, we know how much you and Arthur care for your children," Kingsley said with a smile on his face. "We made sure to inform your children of this and what would happen before we even started to act. Both I and Rosmerta knew that if your children did not approve of this then you and Arthur would of never of even thought about trying."
Molly closed her eyes and took a deep calming breath. My mind ran a mile a minute as she tried to absorb all of the information that she could. After several minutes of silence Molly slowly opened her eyes and gave Kingsley a sharp look.
"I will be with Arthur and Rosmerta while Arthur will be with you and me?" Molly asked carefully. Kingsley nodded his head. "Good, I could not stand losing either of them, I love Arthur and Rosmerta too much to even think about losing either one of them...does this make me selfish?"
"No, no it does not Molly," Kingsley said softly as he wiped away Molly's tears. "It means that you are finally doing what Rosmerta wanted you to do, you are thinking about your own happiness for once, you are putting yourself first."
Molly took a deep breath. "If Arthur is alright with this...than I guess I can give this a try, after all this means I will be able to be with both of my special people and the same for Arthur."
"That's right, just think of it as your family growing and gaining two new members," Kingsley said kindly before a large grin appeared on his face. "How about we go and check on Arthur and Rosmerta before we move onto the second stage of mine and Rosmerta plan?"
Molly frowned in confusion. "Second stage? What plan?"
"A special treat, Rosmerta and I have set it up and sorted everything out for you both," Kingsley answered happily. "You and Arthur better get ready to be spoilt rotten over the next two weeks. Rosmerta and I are taking you on holiday!"
End.
